Peaceful and quiet location with beautiful views. Short drive to surrounding towns. The house is an old farm house with some modern updates. The gas lights are intimidating but we did use them. One thing to consider for your stay is that the master bedroom (which is beautiful, spacious and comfy) is located upstairs and the stairs are kind of steep. The home runs on solar, and we have lived off grid before, so we were conscious about power usage while there. We had carried a small battery operated lantern with us that we used when going up and down the stairs at night. This place was so quiet that when a vehicle did pass by the house it startles you! Another small thing to consider is that apparently some places in the north do not use washcloths and none were in the house. We went to town and bought loofah sponges to use.
