This place is definitely the most comfortable, hospitable, home away from home in firenze. We will definitely be back to stay if theyll have us, the next time we come to visit.

Wonderful location! Loud at night with the late night partiers, but can’t beat the location.

Thanks a lot. The flat is just in the heart of Florence so the "night movida" is there in summer and I like the flat even for this. Standing by the windows yiu can have a look at the Florentine life
Lovely apartment in the center of town. You are close to everything.

Thanks a lot for your review. I fell in love with that attic for the view. When I saw the view from the windows I decided that I wanted to stay there and I've lived there for 20 years before moving to an other region
It felt such a privilege to stay in this historic, beautifully furnished and well maintained apartment. It is perfectly located. We loved coming home there to rest after our explorations in the streets of Firenze. The windows opening over Santa Croce provide a spectacular view and are perfect for people watching from on high!
We felt so welcomed to the apartment and very comfortable to make contact during our stay to ask for help. We would certainly want to stay there again and will recommend it to others.

We LOVED our stay at Serena's apartment! The view is worth the stay alone. But, you don't only get a view! The location is perfect, and the apartment is beautiful. We feel very fortunate to have found this place. Even the taxi driver commented when dropping us off from the train station, "You have the perfect location!" Great energy in the apartment and the surrounding area, and at a very reasonable price! We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic property in a terrific location
This is a beautiful apartment, tastefully furnished, in a great location. Right on the piazza, facing the basilica. All the major sights in Florence are within walking distance in justa few minutes. If there's any downside it would be the 100 steps to get up to the penthouse, but we just viewed that as exercise that allowed us to eat more pasta! By the way, don't miss the Bistecca alla Fiorentina at the nearby Osteria dè Benci. Delizioso!!

Mr. Tischler,
I really thank you. I really appreciate your review. I'm very glad you have loved the old furniture I choose many years ago when I lived there
This is the coolest place! It’s on the 5th floor (access stairs only) overlooking piazza Santa Croce. It is the most beautiful apartment. Fully furnished... The location is superb. We travelled with our children ages 8 and 10 and were able to easily walk to Duomo,Uffizi, Accademia, you name it.
If you want to stay in an authentic Italian apartment with a perfect location, book this property. The most lovely host greeted us and answered any question we had.

Amazing property in a perfect location!
This property was perfect for our time in Florence. It was spotless, and felt just like being at home. The owner responded to all inquiries almost immediately, and made the process quite painless. The location allowed us to explore all of the city's splendor on foot, as it was ideally located. The unit had views in all four directions, and we couldn't decide which one we liked best!
Be advised...the unit is on the top floor and there is no elevator...so pack accordingly!
We would recommend this to anyone.

I can just thank you for the incredible review. I love my flat becouse I spent there the best years of my life. Reefferinf to the lack of elevator.... it's true but there is a sort of electric chair that can be used by a person each time and Annalisa and Letizia are really helpful at your arrival. They always help the guests with their luggage
This apartment looks even better in person! The views are amazing and the apartment is so sweet and well stocked. There is a washer, a blow dryer, an iron, and a well stocked kitchen. The five flights aren’t that big a deal and I’m 60. However the bed is like sleeping on concrete, that is if you can sleep on it. Great location to walk to all museums and Ponte Vecchio

Perfect view of badilica on piazza Santa croce. It made a great nightlight.
We loved th his location for getting around the city. Serena has everything one could need. The takeout cafe below was very handy. Our only issue was the bar next door, right by our bedroom. We could maybe sleep through an outdoor party past 3 am, but there is apparently no noise ordinance in Florence and people were shouting loud as they could, sounding like hundreds, echoing down the little calls. Except for this we would return.

Firenze on top
The S. Croce penthouse is truly that: a beautifully appointed apartment on the top floor of building directly facing S. Croce basilica. It’s beautiful and has all you will need. The owner Serena was gracious and helpful prior to our arrival and throughout our stay. The apartment is incredibly convenient to all Florence has to offer and you can truly walk anywhere and everywhere.
My only observation is that Piazza S. Croce can be noisy at night as it seems to be a gathering place. Other than this the apartment exceeded my expectations.

Superb location!
We were attracted to Serena's apartment specifically by its location: the upper floor of a historic building, looking directly across the Piazza to the magnificent facade of Santa Croce. The photos on the web page give an accurate sense of the location and style. The compact kitchen was well-furnished and convenient. The whole place was tastefully furnished, immaculately clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing by the open windows of the main room after our busy days of exploration, watching the evening light on Santa Croce, listening to the bells, and watching the evening activity in the Piazza below. Since we are fit and active for our mid-seventies, we didn't mind at all the stair-climb of 100 steps to get to this top-floor gem, but those stairs are a reality which guests need to consider. In our view, this gem of a place was well worth the daily exercise. We give it our highest recommendation.

Awesome apartment in an awesome location!
We were able to check into the apartment early because no one had rented it the day we were checking in. Serena was very responsive to our questions prior to our visit. The apartment is a across from the Santa Croce church.. perfect location from everything you want to see. The apartment is on the 4th floor which is 100 steps up with no elevator so just be aware of that. It was fine for us as we didn't have groceries or Anything we needed to bring up the stairs on a regular basis. The first trip in with our luggage was a little tiring but then it was fine. We stayed in September so the weather was perfect for no air conditioning. It was cool at night and the breeze was perfect. (No bugs either). I would absolutely stay here again. It was truly a lovely apartment.

Thanks a lot for the wonderful words, I really appreciate it
Our five days here exceeded our expectations even with all the great reviews that we read that helped us choose this location. The view of Basilica Santa Croce is amazing. There are great bars and restaurants nearby and within walking distance of all the primary destinations people are wanting to see in Florence. The host, Serena, is extremely accommodating and gave many great recommendations. Letizia welcomed us when we arrived, gave suggestions for things to do/eat, and assisted us upon our departure. The stairs to the flat can be daunting but well worth it in my opinion. We also read reviews about the noise level at night which we did experience but it did not bother us we took it in as part of the experience. If that is bothersome for some I suggest to take ear plugs. It is all worth the view.

Thanks a lot it's the greatest review we have ever received. I've really appreciated it especially because I miss that flat. I've been living there more than 20 years before moving in an other Italian area. I've loved that flat and I've spent lots of time looking out those windows. Thanks a lot. Serena
Prior to our visit, Serena was exceptionally communicative and helpful as we planned out our trip. Letizia, who checked us in, was incredibly helpful with our bags. Yes, there are several flights of stairs, but having read the description and reviews carefully beforehand, we were well-prepared for the steps and did not mind them as the apartment has spectacular views. The apartment has everything you need for your stay and is immaculate. We happened to arrive on June 24 - the festival of San Giovanni - and had the best seats possible for the Calcio Fiorentina. It was truly a spectacle that was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The fireworks that night far surpassed the usual U.S. 4th of July events. I would absolutely stay in Serena's lovely flat again. Letizia also helped us to get a taxi to the train station when we left, which was very much appreciated. Thank you Serena and Letizia!

Thanks a lot, I've really appreciated the words you have used to describe the experience of staying in my flat. It's a fantastic review thank you very much and.... I hope to receive you once again in the future. Serena
We arrived at about 8:30 PM (20.30) and were cheerfully greeted by Michela! We got thorough instructions for everything in the apartment. The apartment was exceptionally clean. The view of Santa Croce was beautiful! The piazza is busy and noisy thru most of the night. A deep sleeper or earplugs solve the problem just fine. The beds were comfortable and there are extra sheets and blankets which was nice since we were there for 2 weeks. The pillows were a little flat and harder than I’m used to….but I don’t know if that is just an international thing. Wasn’t a deal breaker, but I’m used to a down feather pillow. The bathroom is fairly roomy and has a shelving unit to hold several peoples toiletries. The hot water worked great and I think there is a tankless water heater. The water pressure in the shower was much better than I expected for old water pipes! The shower is a little small (but probably just by US standards) and has an adjustable spray, removable hand held spout which I really like. The toilet was quite normal and easy to use. There is also a bidet. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed for the occasional meals we cooked in the apartment. The living room couch could be a little more comfy…. But it was fine. There was a drying rack to dry the clothes we washed out by hand. The 98 stairs up to the apartment are nothing to sneeze at (especially for 2 over 65 yr old travelers) but are quite doable and so worth it for the wonderful view. We opened the windows on the warmer evenings and enjoyed the sounds and smells of Florence. The bells from Santa Croce and from the Duomo bell tower can be heard in the morning and throughout the evening. There is a coffee and gelato shop on the ground floor and there are several eateries around the piazza. There are a couple a small grocery stores just a few blocks away. We walked EVERYWHERE we went and never needed a taxi or bus except to and from the airport. A small map of Florence was VERY handy…..like the one that comes in Rick Steves Tuscany and Florence guide book. We used Google maps and Google translate also. Michela contacted us to assist with a taxi reservation back to the airport at the end of the stay. It was a wonderful unit to stay in and we had an absolutely wonderful time on out 2 week art history and architecture trip to Florence. Grazie mille, Michela and Serena!

This was my second trip to Italy. The first was with a tour and I wasn’t satisfied with the limits on where and when we went. My daughter, Grandaughter and I returned to see Italy on our terms. We chose this apartment as our base. It was a wonderful choice. The apartment was just as described. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you need to make this your home away from home. The views from every window is breathtaking. There was always a taxi downstairs when we needed to go to the train station. There are enough museums and churches in walking distance to have kept us busy the entire 2 weeks we were there however. Restaurants and shopping are all close by. A grocery store just a couple of blocks away. The location is perfect.
As mentioned in previous reviews there are stairs. I planned a knee replacement before my trip, COVID cancellation for elective surgeries saw that postponed. The stairs were still doable. I walked down in the morning and at the end of a day of walking I would take the chair lift back up. Noise is also mentioned in previous reviews. Friday and Saturday nights were the only nights the noise was really noticeable. Maybe we were just so tired we slept like rocks.
The only suggestion I do have for this otherwise perfect apartment, is the seating. A nice comfortable chair to curl up in to enjoy your coffee and the view is the only thing I wished for the entire 2 weeks I stayed here. I am already talking to my daughter about returning after my knee replacement. Maybe next year.
Annalisa was wonderful. She met us at the apartment and helped with our luggage, showed us around and told us where to find the grocery store. She gave me her number for any questions we had and responded quickly with answers.
I do intend to return. Do not hesitate to choose this lovely apartment for your trip to Florence.

Buongiorno,
