Come visit Maine and find out why it’s called “Vacationland” and “The Way Life Should Be”.
Milbridge is a sweet coastal town well situated for many adventures. Visit the eastern-most spot in the US and the picturesque West Quoddy Lighthouse in Lubec. Or head to the Schoodic region of Acadia National Park and avoid the crowds that flock to the larger portion of the park on Mount Desert Island. Take a day trip to Campobello Island (bring your passport) and take a step back in history to the way President FDR spent his summers. There are many local artisans and galleries to visit. Take a private lobster boat tour with Captain Robertson right here in town and check out the puffins at Petit Manan Lighthouse! If you enjoy being physically active there are countless hiking trails and an extensive biking trail called The Downeast Sunrise Trail. There are plenty of places to kayak as well. You’ll run out of time for everything on your list because you won’t want to leave the peacefulness of homebase. No matter if you choose a fast or slow paced vacation, this is the perfect spot for you!
There are wonderful dining options right in Milbridge as well as a number of favorites within a short drive. Or cook at home in the well stocked kitchen and enjoy your dinner outside on the deck. You can pick up your fresh-off-the-boat lobster and other sea creatures just 2.5 miles down the road at Chipman’s Wharf. Grab a bottle of local blueberry wine or coastal white to go with that meal at nearby Barlett Winery.
Milbridge features a local summer concert series in town on Friday nights and don’t miss Incredible Edible Milbridge and the free organic community gardens. This little town has some big spirit!
*New in 2022, a Ring doorbell is installed which shows ONLY the driveway/approach to front door. It does not show the back deck or anything inside the home. Primarily installed for off season security.

A very relaxing location! Away from it all, stars were amazing. Lots of trails nearby to hike. Ocean is steps from the door. A well appointed home. If you need time away from it all this location is for you.
The property is exactly as advertised. Amazingly close to the ocean, the best stocked rental ever and a clean and bright home. We enjoyed day trips to Bar Harbor and Lubec but the best part of our stay were days spent at the house.
This is an absolutely beautiful "home away from home"...very close to Schoodic Peninsula, close to Acadia and Bar Harbor, yet far enough to get away from the crowds. Places further north such as Campobello Island are a great day trip. Amanda is a wonderful host and her family's home is absolutely gorgeous on a beautiful piece of Maine Downeast Coast!
This property was better than advertised. Very clean and well stocked. The location is very quiet and secluded but there is plenty to do within a short driving distance, from hiking in Acadia to whale watching in Bar Harbor, or just sitting on the deck and enjoying the scenery (including a porcupine or the bald eagles). Amanda was great to work with. We look forward to visiting again soon.
Our 3rd stay here. A perfect blend of tranquility, privacy and ocean front beauty. The home is immaculate. The location is brilliant. A great anchor home for day trips to not only Maine towns, but for Canadian communities as well. The deck is where you live. Life surrounds you with pure ocean sights and sounds, not affected by any city noises. The humming of the lobstermen’s 6-day per week diesel as they begin their day at 3-3:30am and return 10-12 hours later. A visit to a working fishing dock just 7-minutes away to watch how difficult the fisherman's’ job truly is. A phenomenal experience. A fantastic 2-week stay. Amanda is truly the perfect host, always responsive and full of answers and recommendations for dining.
We can't say enough about Amanda and family's lovely, lovely home. Everything is totally ready for guests--a fully stocked kitchen, an unmatched view, beautifully decorated home and a beautiful area close to lots of hiking, delicious seafood and DownEast adventures! We can't wait to go back!
Aside from the incredible location/view/beach this was the best provisioned house we’ve ever stayed at…from instructions, to local recommendations, to supplies the owners thought of everything.
Whether inside, on the deck, or on the rocky shore, this property offers views galore. We also enjoyed hiking at Petit Manan, along the Bold Coast and Campobello Island, plus a gorgeous sunset cruise aboard the Polaris Jack, which sails from South Addison. The house is a great location for outdoor activities, and having Shipman's Wharf nearby for seafood was a nice bonus.
Amanda and her family have created an absolute haven on the ocean! We have rented several times on VRBO and have never seen a home so thoughtfully equipped for vacationers. The kitchen has so many tools and pans for cooking and baking, and the sturdy folding chairs for campfire times were really appreciated. The location is stunning and the house is beautifully appointed. We can't wait to go back!
We had a great and relaxing time at this property. Everything was absolutely perfect. The home was clean and nicely decorated and the owners provided everything that you could need. The views were amazing! I would definitely recommend staying at this home. The owner Amanda was great too!
4 of us stayed here. My husband and i and another couple. It was perfect
The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Very secluded which we liked. The views of the ocean were stunning and just a nice amount of pines sorrounding. Check in was so easy and the property owner very easy to contact and talk to. We would definitely stay here again.
We've stayed in many rental homes and this is by far our favorite! The location in the woods, yet on the coast is perfection. We love being away from the "hubub". The home is clean and comfortable and is equipped with everything you can possibly need. We hiked the woods, fished off the rocks, enjoyed a lobster tour, drove Schoodic Point, went foraged for mushrooms and of course enjoyed all the seafood Maine is famous for! Our host Amanda was a pleasure to work with. I hope one day to have the opportunity to return to this lovely home.
The house was very clean and the view is spectacular. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a family vacation. The owners are extremely help and takes care of any problem you might have.
This place is AWESOMESAUCE!!!!!!!!

We loved our stay at Pine Scented and Ocean Kissed! Beautiful, clean home. Our girls loved going out on the rocks and searching in the tidal pools. Beautiful view of the ocean! So relaxing. Amanda was wonderful- quick responses to questions and provided us with ideas of things to do and see. Definitely recommend this vacation home to anyone looking for a wonderful time in Maine! Erin M.
The house was as pictured with all the amenities supplied. The area was quaint and rural, off the beaten path with sights and events an hour or so away. Downtown Milbridge had whatever we needed. The views from the house and deck were a postcard picture. The house was clean and comfortable. The host responded quickly to any question. We would recommend a stay at this property.
This is the first time we have stayed this far north as we are used to midcoast (Boothbay/Pemaquid). We loved the quiet and less populated area but still having the conveniences of a grocery store and coffee. We enjoyed our stay at Pine scented and Ocean Kissed. It was comfortable and clean and well appointed. The location is great if you like a rocky beach and the sound of ocean waves! We miss getting up early and watching the sun rise and just staring at the water.
We loved our stay. It has all the conveniences of ac, laundry, etc with a beautiful view. The kids enjoy so much time exploring the rocky coast. While I did do a quick swim (I’m a strong swimmer) I would not recommend it if are looking to spend a lot of time swimming. The rocky coast, plus the waves make entry and exit quite a feat.
Overall, and beautiful and joyful experience.
I've been looking for the perfect Maine vacation home. The ragged coast line, on the ocean, etc. This year, i found it. Close enough to Schoodic and Acadia, yet far away from the noise of tourists. The house is stunningly designed to take advantage of the beautiful coast. There was nothing missing, right down to the Welcome sign in the master bedroom. Thank you for a beautiful week in the place that truly rejuvenates the soul.
An outstanding experience from start to finish. The homeowner (Amanda) is EXCEPTIONAL in communicating details regarding ANY aspect of the trip, prior to, during and even after the stay. Her enthusiasm and positive can-do attitude are phenomenal. She will get our business repeatedly in the future. The pics don't do the home and property justice. You've simply got to stay there to soak in all of the amazing sights, sounds and smells of this part of Maine. Simply an amazing experience.
We loved our stay here so much last year that we decided to return. The deck with its view is so peaceful. It’s only enhanced by the sound of the water. Having your own piece of the rocky coast with its tide pools is such a treat. The house itself looks like it should be on an HGTV show. It’s so tastefully decorated and welcoming. Everything you need is provided -from cookware, to games, spices and even a fondue pot. The hosts are incredible and it’s evident they enjoy sharing their home and making sure their guests have an incredible experience. If you are looking to visit Maine- you’ll definitely want to make this your home base.
My family agreed this was going to be a hard stay to beat. The house was spotless and the décor was amazing. The whole house gave you the coastal feeling. We loved exploring the coast and the tidal pools during low tide. We also loved utilizing the fire ring several nights!
The Host was excellent in communicating before, during, and after the stay. She left a binder full of wonderful suggestions on places to go and places to eat!
The location was perfect for us. We loved Milbridge. It was close enough to make day trips to everywhere we wanted, but away from the hustle and bustle.
If you are thinking of booking, I would say definitely go for it and you won’t be disappointed! We would gladly go back!

About the host

Our Maine addiction began about 18 years ago on a trip to Bar Harbor. We took our time, stopping in coastal towns along the way. We honestly didn't even know about Acadia National Park on that first trip. So, we soon realized more trips were in order! Every summer we returned to find a new adventure. We rented on a different spot of Mount Desert Island everytime to gain insight on all the different flavors. Eventually, we started branching further up the coast to find more quiet, looking for a spot to lay down some roots for the future and build a family retreat.
Why they chose this property
We were thrilled to find our piece of heaven in Milbridge. Everything we truly need is within about a 5 mile drive, yet, our homes location is away from any business of daily life.
