Built in 1858, the historic Grandview Cottage is the idyllic Stillwater vacation rental. Grandview Cottage does have the best view in Stillwater, perched on a bluff above downtown, guests enjoy a view of the St. Croix river valley, picturesque downtown Stillwater and the historic Lift Bridge. This former Lumberjack boarding house is literally steps away from downtown.

The Grandview Cottage offers indoor & outdoor spaces with an elegant layout.

The Grandview Cottage offers all expected modern amenities. The main level has a kitchen is that is fully equipped, a half bathroom, dining room that is spacious with an open flow into the great room offering spectacular views.

The second level has 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed and full bath.

Two additional bedrooms - one featuring a queen bed and the other has two twin beds.

The host lives locally and is happy to assist with any questions during your stay.

Teddy Bear Park is nearby - the perfect play area for younger children.

The historic court house is nearby - perfect for wedding parties.

Grandview Cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood and literally steps from downtown Stillwater. All attractions are a very short walk away so there is no need to start your cars.

If you need more space, ask about our adjacent vacation rentals, Grandview Loft & Durant House.

Guests will be texted directions and check in instructions the morning of the booking. Upon arrival the guest is required to sign a City required disclosure form that communicates ordinances and rules.

Charming Cottage, Communicative Host, Excellent Stay!

Brian was incredibly kind, communicative, and chill as a host. From a very clean space with victorian charm and updated appliances, waking up to the best view in Stillwater, being just steps away from it's downtown, and having everything we needed, this cottage was one of the best places I've stayed, and I'd stay again to experience it in the Summer.

This was perfect for our sister reunion. The view is so beautiful and the house provided us with everything we needed and more. Brian, the host, was wonderful, too. He greeted us on arrival and was very responsive to the few questions we had. The best place to stay in Stillwater.

Girlfriend getaway

This place is amazing – the pictures don’t do it justice at all. Gorgeous views, immaculate inside. Very walkable to anything in Stillwater. The only bad part about our weekend was that we couldn’t stay longer!

The house is uniquely situated overlooking Stillwater, with great views, at the top of the famous stairs from Main Street. It was as advertised, clean, and very comfortable. The host was attentive and helpful. Everyone commented on the comfortable beds.

Perfect location

Me and my 3 sisters and our mother stayed here together the end of June. We had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. So easy to walk into town to shop or eat. Lovely spot to watch the sun rise over the river. Walking the stairs back up to the house was not a possibility for our mother but the rest of us enjoyed the challenge.

Icing On The Cake

We stayed at Grandview Cottage the weekend of my daughter's wedding and could not have asked for a more perfict home, setting, and overall experience. The house was immaculate, bright, and had everything we needed (OK - except for a cheese grater!). Host Brian was super helpful and friendly. We hosted a small brunch and the yard was perfect for the kids to run and play and the home was spacious enough to mingle while some watched football. The view from this home is second to none and it was amazing to view Stillwater and the St. Croix in different lights. This home was the icing on the cake for our memorable wedding weekend. I would 100% stay at Grandview Cottage again.

The location is ideal for Historic Court House weddings, only one block away, and the downtown area is full of music and good food for those bachelorettes.

The Cottage is perched on the bluff overlooking the downtown area of Stillwater, with amazing views of the river valley. The best view in Stillwater! The house is one block from the Historic Court House (weddings), one block from Teddy Bear Park, near the historical Main Street Stairs (just steps to downtown) with all the shops and restaurants.
