Very good

We liked the location, right between Stowe and Killington/Okemo slopes. Everything was very clean, beds were good, hot strong showers, and hot tub was enjoyable. We would stay there again. It is the flavor of small town Vermont.
Nice house and just over the mountain from Sugarbush
Our group of 3 families enjoyed our stay at the house. The hot tub was not working, which was a real bummer- but the house itself worked out perfect. The kids (6 of them ages 9-14) all shared the bunk room and loved having their own space away from the adults. Bedrooms were comfortable and house was clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Fireplace was great for the chilly nights. Not much to do in the town but a quick trip to Worth Burger Too and Lawson’s was right over the hill. We skied 4 days at Sugarbush and for December skiing we were pleasantly surprised!

Not great.
Trash from previous tenant in home, surveillance equipment inside and out, and the hot tub conveniently was “ not working” just before our arrival time. Floors sloped noticeably.

Thank you for your review, Tim. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment. We would have been happy to assist with any questions or concerns if we had been notified of cleanliness issues during your time with us. While the home may have cameras, for guest safety they do not record when guests occupy the home. Should guests have any questions or concerns our staff is happy to assist. We are very sorry you weren't able to use the hot tub. It is always our goal for our guests to be able to use everything the home has to offer. We hope that the refund you received has helped with some resolution of the issue you experienced and that we have the opportunity to better impress you in the future!

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Value missing
To be succinct:
This house is priced way above its decore, cleanliness, and amenities.
Issues
1. Doors don’t properly close and lock
2. Outdated appliances
3. Unacceptable kitchen ware
4. All garbage cans overfull on arrival and departure after a week
5. House flies dead and alive everywhere.
6. No reasonable cable to watch any sports season events like bowl games on ESPN
7. Upstairs furniture and decore are poor
8. Hot tub and controls are ancient and inside a bedroom
9. Washer left with towels that were musty
10. Little to nothing nearby for restaurants or grocery shopping
Positives
1. Quiet area except for train passing very close by a few times daily
2. Plenty of parking
3. Fire place and wood
4. Large amount of space
5. One hour from many ski mountains

Good experience, with a few caveats
This home is nestled in an idyllic Vermont village with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Lovely location, charming fireplace , and ample room for many guests. The home could benefit, however, from improved instructions and cleanliness for the advertised hot tub. We settled on this location and turned down others because of its advertised hot tub, but were disappointed the first night to be unable to figure out how it worked and unable to find instructions. Contacting the property manager was difficult, indirect, and time consuming and we lost a night of hot tub use, as a result. We finally figured out how to get the hot tub operational on day #2, but quickly discovered that it smelled strongly of mildew or mold. Very unpleasant, even when in use. The property manager responded to our request for help by day #2, acknowledged that the hot tub needed better instructions, and offered to give us a $25 per day discount for the inconvenience if we weren't able to get it to work. Overall, because we chose this location for the hot tub, we were left pretty disappointed about that one detail. But despite the hot tub issue and the difficulty in contacting the property manager, we still had a great week and found a lot of charm in this home.

Great for a large group
This house is perfect for a couple of families with a lot of kids that can stay in a room together. We enjoyed everything the house had to offer. We skied at Sugarbush each day which was easy to get to from there. Would love if there was a dishwasher but other than that it was perfect.

Cozy house
Cozy house, perfect for our Vermont vacation. Plenty of comfortable beds for all seven of us. (With beds to spare). We skied 2 days at Sugarbush and the house is located only 20ish minutes away if you can traverse Warren Mtn Road. Who knew you needed 4 wheel drive in Vermont in the winter? 😂 We ended up driving the long way around the mountain which took around 45-50 minutes. Not a big deal and we had a blast skiing.

Great home !!!
This is a cozy house in a quintessential small Vermont town. The fire place was great and they even had a large supply of wood. There is a store you can walk to. I would defiantly stay again .

Roxbury Retreat - decent
was clean and great that sheets and towels were provided. but there was no information about check-out. i think they should add something to the red binder. we didn't know where to put trash entire week so it piled up in the kitchen. with little kids, that got to be annoying. so more info on trash and check-out. thanks !
Comfortable and cozy. Quiet home with plenty of room to spread out. All amenities on site.

Cozey great home
Comfortable home, great kitchen, dining area, lots of beds, hot tub, close to Norwich University, close to great skiing, scenic mid-Vermont area, quiet.
The house was very nice, comfortable, and had many utilities and materials available for us. The area has many things to do that are close and free and the weather was perfect. Would love to stay there again!
