Dear Mairead thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. We do not provide any beach equipment at all. It sometimes happens that guests buy items for the beach and then leave them behind when flying home. Maybe for the future we will ask our caretaker to dispose of them after the guests have departed, thus not giving the impression hat we supply faulty equipment. With regard to electricity we point out at various stages that this will be charged separately based on actual consumption. All guests also return the booking form and acknowledge receipt and acceptance of these terms . We think that the fairest way of dealing with electricity is that every family pays for its own consumption. Otherwise we would need to do a mixed calculation; but then those using for example very little aircon will subsidize those who switch on everything and then go to the beach or leave all the doors open . With regard to outside furniture, there should have been one table with 8 chairs on the main terrace in front of he pool, one table with 4 chairs and 1 garden bench on the side terrace, also there are 6 sun loungers and 2 beach loungers , some are folded up under the alcove next to the car port. We will be in the property next week and check that everything is in good working order. Our experience is that the guests want to do their own laundry and cleaning during their stay. For this reason washing machine, vacuum cleaners, broom and cleaning materials are provided. For those who wish to enjoy further services, our caretaker does her utmost to accommodate all wishes at an extra charge. Dear Estelle, I am very disappointed that you did not review your stay in our villa more favourably. Unfortunately, during your stay there was a water leakage in the property. This can happen everywhere and at any time. We tried to get it fixed, but in Spain during the month of August it is nearly impossible to get workers. In the end the water had to be switched off. You were offered alternative accommodation (private and hotels), but you did not want to move. You decided that our villa was still better than the alternatives despite the water leakage. We offered you a refund for the inconvenience, this you accepted. Because we felt sorry that your holiday in our villa was not quite as perfect we paid you 3 times the agreed refund entirely out of good will. Naturally we expected a more favourable review, especially since apart from the leakage incident everything else was perfect.
