A cozy A-Frame cabin near Lynx Lake, set on an acre in the Prescott National Forest. The cabin is off the grid, and we operate on a water tank & solar. Lynx Creek runs through the property and its 1/8 of a mile back in the forest, yet only 15 minutes from downtown Prescott. Wonderful for those who love the outdoors and a quiet rustic getaway... yet close to town if you want more. There are only four cabins in the vicinity. They sit on 20 acres of Ponderosa Pine, Oak, Juniper and Arizona Aspen that are surrounded by the Prescott National Forest.

Really enjoyed our stay. Definitely off the beaten path. Perfect break from the heat, hustle and bustle back home. Cabin had all that we needed for our stay and more. We really only needed to supply our own wood and food/drink. The absence of mosquitos was very pleasant. Would stay longer if we could.
We loved it - very private and cozy. Perfect escape. Everything needed for overnight adventure in the woods. We arrived after dark so it was challenging finding it … Also note - there is a seperate 35 non refundable pet fee not disclosed on the listing which is paid direct to host outside of the booking app. I don’t mind paying the fee for my service dog, but it should be included in the listing under “pet friendly” rather than in an email after booking is confirmed.

My husband and I loved our little overnight getaway here. It was so cozy, quiet and had everything we needed. The host was very easy to reach and always quick to respond.
Cool little property had everything we needed for a short stay. Kids loved watching the birds and squirrels at feeders. Nice place to unplug and unwind.
We loved the cabin. As an architect i really loved this little gem. Its perfectly designed and feels larger that it is. We loved being off grid wirh just the sound of the wind, birds and occasional coyote. Che k in is very easy and host is easy to communicate with. Its a great place to unwind. We will definitely come back again.
This was the perfect get away for our Anniversary! Off the grid so we can be in peace and quiet and close enough to the business district to go have some fun

Beautiful property, fully surrounded by the woods with other cabins a decent distance away for a safer feeling. Perfect place for if you have dogs and the surrounding area is very open. The host, Sona was very friendly and communicated everything regarding the trip perfectly. Would love to visit again in the future :)
To say our stay at the lovely "Rustic Retreat" was everything we'd hoped it would be, is an extreme understatement!Everything was perfect....and so much better than the pictures portrayed . We spent most of our time outdoors...nestled among the ponderosa pines....soaking in the sun and the crisp mountain air. Inside was cozy and intimate....just right for we two. All the amenities were well thought out as well....and Sona was an amazing host.Cant wait to do it again....we will be back!
The location is beautiful and the house is clean, however, there was a snake crawling around in the couch and we didn’t feel comfortable staying after discovering that. Also, the lake is at least a 25-35 minute walk (we tried walking there both via the dry creek bed as well as the road), not 10 minutes as advertised in the listing. The main reason I chose this property was to access the lake, and it took us a little over 30 minutes each way to walk there. There was also a heavy unsecured metal pole that fell on top of my dog and injured her. I would definitely be extra careful if you choose to bring small children or pets here.
Great get away.. enjoyed being ’off the grid’. If you need to get some rest and relaxation, with no distraction, this the place to come. Perfect!

Very Misleading
Directions to cabin were vague. Dirt road to cabin was much longer than expected and treacherous. You would not want to drive in the dark. Cabin was cute and clean.Decided not to stay because temperature in cabin was 95-100 degrees with only portable fans that were ineffective. It would have been very uncomfortable to sleep.
We spent our Christmas week here and enjoyed every moment, it was so cozy sitting by the fireplace while playing boardgames and enjoying eachothers time while both our dogs just chilled with us. I proposed to my now fiance there and will definitely be back to make more memories. The owner Sona was super nice and very helpful, the comuncation was great when i had questions, once again thank you Sona!
What a lovely host to make sure everything was set up for our family of five! The cabin was clean and cozy, great space to hang out together and explore the creek running through the property. We watched the deer come by in the morning as we had coffee. Such a great place to unplug and relax.
