About the host
Hosted by Richard Glen
We are a couple with 3 children (now grown). We first chose this resort because at the time there were no hotels that had a maximum occupancy of 5. We immediately fell in love with the resort. Not just the resort but the people. Many of the same people are still there today that were there 14 years ago on our first trip. That year we decided we wanted to have this resort as our home away from home. A place to look forward to returning to each year. We first bought a time share up in the hills of the resort and loved it!. However 3 years ago when the new villas were built we purchased one of them and added a week to our stay each year. We love this resort. It is beautiful, as beautiful as the views from the patio and its people. We feel sure anyone who stays here will love it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
This resort has stood the test of time. It is Canadian owned and operated. Each year we have been coming we have seen improvements. Most recently they built new villas which we bought into as part of the private residence club. A new spa and fitness facility was recently built. And improvements are made to the restaurants each year. There are five restaurants. Popa Dons (Italian) Dragon Fly (creole and Caribbean buffet/breakfast) Upper Deck (steaks and seafood) Embers beach (hamburgers/hot dogs) Jammers (roti, salads, fish and chips, burgers) If you want to eat dinner in your villa, but don't feel like cooking, order in a pizza from popa dons!
What makes this property unique
This villa is like going to your own home. Only its right on the beach with a built in pool and house keeping daily. Everything has been thought of. If you just want to spend the day at "home" you can. Laze around the pool with a good book. Prepare your dinner in the state of the art kitchen. Suntan on the deck. Watch a movie or dvd. Or you can walk down to the beach...just steps from the door. relax on a lounge chair under a tiki or have a drink at 96 in the shade. You can walk to the beach restaurant for lunch or enjoy many of the watersports. Some of which are included in your stay. There is also tennis on the property and golf nearby.
