Nestled on a hillside above the scenic village of S. Woodstock, Apple Hill is a cozy year-round home with a large deck offering views of the Kedron Valley. The setting features fields and woods, with nearby farms. Take a 10 minute walk down the hill to S. Woodstock, and you'll find- a country store( with penny candy, and deli serving delicious take-out food); Kedron Valley Inn with fine dining and a wonderful beach/pond for swimming; historic church and academy.

An open floor plan on the first floor, allows for a relaxing atmosphere-living room with fireplace, dining room seats 8, den/TV room, generously supplied kitchen, mud room/entryway, powder room, bedroom (queen bed) and full bath. The second floor sleeps 5-6, in three bedrooms -one full, two queen-full bath on second floor. House includes washer/dryer.

Beautiful home. Incredibly well kept and comfortable. Meticulously cared for by the property manager and the owners, and was perfect for our multi-gen stay. Set on lovely road and grounds close to town. The house was very clean. The kitchen well appointed the bed linens fresh and comfortable. Will definitely return to this home!

Apple Hill is a beautiful, charming home with great views. We found it to be very clean, comfortable and a quiet location on a dirt road, but still only a few miles from downtown Woodstock. The kitchen was well equipped and beds comfortable. The owner and property manager were very responsive and good communication. We enjoyed visiting Woodstock and discovered South Woodstock. Loved the Kendron Valley Inn for pizza which is just down the hill! We would definitely stay here again!

This property could not be more perfect! It is immaculate , well stocked, perfectly laid out in a wonderful location. It is so quiet sitting out on the deck, sipping our morning coffee. 3 miles into town. A lot of things to do and some great choices for meals. The property manager and the host were both extremely responsive with any questions. We could not have asked for anything more.

Spacious and cosy home

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Apple Hill. The house was very comfortable, warm and cosy despite the cold weather. Kitchen was well equipped for a group of foodies like us! We also appreciated the welcome wine and snack. The location was perfect for accessing Woodstock and surrounding areas. We would definitely like to return. Thank you!

Fantastic House!

We had a girl’s weekend (Thursday-Sunday) at Mary’s place! Her house was amazing! There were 4 of us and we each had our own bedroom (very comfy). There was plenty of room to hang out in the living room, dining room, and family room with an outside deck. Very clean and close to town! Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful property within easy reach of Woodstock

Large house that is comfortable, impeccably clean and well kept. Lovely grounds. Lots of restaurants close by either in South Woodstock or in Woodstock itself. We had a great time and we look forward to a return visit.

Perfect Stay in South Woodstock

We have visited Woodstock many times, but always stayed as a hotel. We loved staying on Apple Hill - the location was perfect near the Kendron Inn. There was great hills for sledding. The house inside was very cozy with a great fireplace, tons of space and a very comfortable kitchen for cooking. We were just a short drive from Woodstock Green, Farmer's Market and the Suicide Six Ski Slope. The host was very helpful and constantly in communication. We hope to come stay again!

Beautiful Property

Our family of 6 attended an out-of-state wedding in Vermont. This house and property were beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed. I only wish we could have stayed longer to really enjoy the beautiful rolling hills and peaceful setting. I would highly recommend.

Winter Wonderland for Christmas

This property was just exactly what my family of 6 were looking for. We wanted to experience the magic of snow for Christmas and it delivered. Snow weekend in Woodstock

We had an amazing time in Woodstock and this house was the perfect base for everything we wanted to do. It was minutes away to downhill and nordic skiing as well as the town of Woodstock. We loved the wood burning fireplace and had the whole family around it in the evenings after dinner. The bedrooms were all a good size and very cozy. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with Trader Joe’s shampoo, Meyers soap, clean towels and generally showed that the owner goes that little bit further to make guests feel at home in a lived-in space rather than just renting it out as a side business. The property was beautiful in the snow and there were lots chairs near windows to watch the snow. There were even sleds in the garage for the little one to use on the hillsides surrounding the house. Overall, a fantastic experience that we hope to have every winter!

Contemporary style in a historic home!

This property provided several comfortable and contemporary gathering areas, which made it a pleasure to hang out after travel, daily explorations or reading a good book! The outdoor areas were functional and relaxing,while providing privacy as desired. There were spices, and other staples in the kitchen, which was a pleasure for cooking. Many pots, pans, silverware, cutlery, and dishes for large groups. The bathrooms were well stocked and the home has a fabulous scent upon entry in the mud room. We were able to observe a doe and fawn on the property by the apple tree in the meadow, and enjoyed the landscape and flowers surrounding the home. We had great WiFi service and TV in the family room. The property is very well maintained, and clean! I had great communication via email with the owner and she provided all instructions and expectations in a timely manner. We enjoyed the country store at the bottom of the hill. Danielle gave us tips on things to enjoy in the area. The Quechee Gorge, the covered bridges in Quechee, Taftsville and Woodstock were awesome. We enjoyed rowing attire Quechee Cabot cheese shopping mall filled with antiques and gifts. We also visited Chester, Grafton and Springfieldandenjoyed the feeling of community in these villages. In Woodstock, the White cottage has great ice cream, Bentley’s Restaurant has good food, slow service, and Keepers Cafe south of South Woodstock had awesome food! So much to see, we plan a return visit to Apple Hillin Vermont!

The house is adorable, impeccably cared for..lots of comfortable beds &linens. Plenty of space for people to gather. Quaint. The only important detail to share ( which was why I gave 3 stars for location) is that it’s literally on top of the mountain. Very bumpy and narrow dirt road. We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee which was fine but my guests had a Mercedes. It was challenging for them to get up and down the mountain. Our cars were filthy by the end of the weekend. That being said it is fairly centrally located. Easy to get to downtown Woodstock..it’s just up and down the mountain. So it really is about how you are using it and what you drive. Lol

The house is always spotless. It’s located in a quiet place. We visit South Woodstock at least twice a year and this is the first house we always check the availability of. It’s wonderful!

We’ve stayed at lots of places in the area over the years but we stay here whenever we can. It’s such a clean, peaceful, and welcoming place. So easy to relax and be comfortable but close to Woodstock and South Woodstock.
