Home away from home
We had a wonderful time at this townhouse in the Solterra Resort! It is an end unit that overlooks a marshy area in back and it was very peaceful - we even saw a few cranes out there in the mornings while having our coffee. There were 3 of us and we had more than enough room in this beautiful home. The kitchen was modern with every plate, glass, cooking utensil you could need. The living room space was nice and the couches were comfortable. The splash pool is nice, but a bit cold since we didn’t pay extra to have it heated. Having a bathroom attached to each bedroom was great and they even supplied starter toilet paper, soap, shampoo & conditioner. It was also a plus to have a hair dryer in at least 2 of the bathrooms. And no need to pack lots of extra clothes - there’s a washer and dryer that was very useful! Being Northerners, the only downside was that it was hot sleeping...and we were there in February! The a/c is set so that the lowest you can set it to is 74 - too warm for us, but we went out and bought a couple of table fans which helped a little bit. The resort pool and lazy river are very nice. You can walk to the clubhouse and the townhouse even has pool towels to use. There aren’t that many tubes for the lazy river, so when you stop at the local Publix, grab a tube or 2. The townhouse is close to all of the Disney parks and only takes around 15 minutes to get to them - very convenient. It is also very close to the market, restaurants and stores. Although the property manager was a bit slow to respond to a couple of our questions, the owner was wonderful to deal with and answered our questions in a gracious and very timely manner. We would definitely stay here again!
