300 YARDS from the OCEAN FRONT!!! Located in the heart of DUCK!! New Kitchen!!!

*** We are excited to announce that our kitchen was completely remodeled!
We are excited to share our band new kitchen. It was completed March 2025!

The Sandy Duck is a charming colorful cottage that sits in a perfect location - exactly between the ocean and the sound in Duck, NC. A ten-minute walk can take you to the ocean, and easy boardwalk access to the beach, or to the sound and the quaint village of Duck, which offers unique shops and restaurants.

The Sandy Duck features four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, a well stocked , open kitchen perfect for creating family meals, and lots of deck space to enjoy your morning coffee, sun bathe, or take an afternoon break from the beach.

When it's beach time, there's a large wheeled carrier to transport the beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and toys which are provided, or you can pack up your car and drive 300 yards to the beach access where guests have free parking. After the beach, rinse off in the large outdoor shower, complete with a seated changing area.

When it's time for a break from the beach, relax in the large rope hammock, play a game of horseshoes, or bring (or rent) bikes to experience Duck's multi-use paths and trails.

In the evening, stroll down to Duck's unique sound side boardwalk where you can shop, drink, and dine while taking in the spectacular sunsets. The boardwalk, which has been featured in numerous travel periodicals, runs the entire length of the town and offers places for fishing, crabbing, or just setting off on your paddle-board or kayak. It also connects to the Duck Town Park, with over 11 acres of natural beauty including trails through the maritime forest and willow swamp, open green space, and amphitheater, picnic areas, and playground.

Lovely Duck beach house

Our third stay at this house, this time with a completely new kitchen and fresh paint in the family room. Add this to the recent master suite and screened porch upgrades, and our experience just keeps getting better! Very convenient to the beach and the village. Our 7 person group thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night stay, plenty of room for everone.

I don’t think the pictures do this house justice. It was the perfect amount of space for our family of 6. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. The location can’t be beat. Super quick walk to the beach or town for ice cream and sunsets. We’ll definitely stay again

This cottage had everything we could have possibly needed and everything was in great condition. The screened porch is very large and comfy, perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxing. Both the beach and the village are easy walk and the cart made carrying cooler and chairs easy. Loved our stay.
