This is a lovely oceanfront vacation home with breathtaking views of Barnstable Harbor, Sandy Neck and Cape Cod Bay. This totally renovated perfect summer rental is steps away from your own private beach. Inside is a very spacious open great room on the first floor with sliders opening to a large comfortable deck with dining area and gas grill. Enjoy après beach cocktails on the deck at the end of a perfect summer day while the sun sets over the harbor. Or stroll to nearby shops and restaurants in Barnstable Village. Sat to Sat.

Two large bedrooms (sharing a spacious balcony) and one smaller upstairs bedroom plus a shared full bath make the sleeping area completely private from any living area or entertaining. Eight or more guests can sleep comfortably here. A light and airy kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops downstairs, a half bath powder room plus an outdoor shower comfortably complete the living quarters. A large breakfast bar with granite top and built in wine cooler make meals and entertaining easy and late night cards and puzzles very comfortable.

This clean, well-cared for property complete with central A/C is a vacation dream come true.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Lock the doors and return the keys
Some Saturdays, the trash pick up in the summer is very early. Maybe 7am! Best to be organized about getting the trash out either the night before so morning trash is at a minimum.
Please make sure lock box key is left in the lock box as you leave so the housekeepers can get in easily! Thank you!

We had a blast and loved this property & location. The only negative comment we have is it doesn't have a set of stairs to the water. It's beautiful, well stocked, clean and airy, and has plenty of things to keep you busy.

We loved this house! Dennis was super friendly and helpful when we arrived. We really enjoyed our stay here. Plus the location was great, a middle ground area for getting to other towns on Cape Cod. We would love to return to this area again and the property.

Great spot. Harbor views are stunning. Walk to two restaurants, which is convenient. A half to three quarters of a mile walk to Barnstable village restaurants and grocery store. Would stay again

beautiful and relaxing, kid-friendly, in a quiet neighborhood

We had a wonderful week at the Cape staying at this home! Cool breezes from the harbor, tidal area that is great for little kids to explore and wade (pay attention to the tide tables!), and walking distance along the beach or the quiet street to restaurants with outdoor seating and great takeout options (fun and also still important for us, with unvaccinated little kids).

Loved this property. It has everything you would ever need and Dennis the owner was great! Really if you are heading to the cape stay here. The view, the home, the area all perfect. The king bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! We'll be back!

Couldn’t have a better spot

The title says it all. 20 feet from a small sandy beach at high tide, endless sandbars at low tide. Perfect for the two of us and two nights with our daughter joining in.

Best Vacation Ever

This house was perfect for my husband, daughter and I. The views are to die for. I have never seen sunsets like the ones we saw while on our vacation at this house. After the sun goes down the stars are in full view. The house is great and clean. We loved using the hot tub at night. We will definitely rent again!!!!

Awesome little cottage in Barnstable.

My husband and I spent 6 nights in this lovely cottage. The porch and jacuzzi tub over look the Barnstable Harbor. The sunrise, sunsets and stargazing were amazing. We were close enough to do day trips, whale watching, Nantucket and Proviencetown. We throughly enjoyed our stay, Dennis the owner, stopped in to see if we needed anything. Incredible views

This was the perfect place to quarantine in, and get out of Boston for a few days. Great views and sunsets. The hot tub was so relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood - a great place to unwind. Communication with the host Sally was a 10 out of 10; we felt like we were speaking with a human, not a Vrbo robot. More than once, Sally went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Great place for 1-2 couples or a family. Could not rate this high enough!

Great house right on the water with everything you could need and nice amenities.

Vacationed here for a week with our family and had an amazing time. Our two young children had a blast on the beach and the tidal pools and calm waters were perfect for them. The house was great! The covered deck gave us shade when we wanted it and we had a blast grilling and eating out there all week. We also loved the jacuzzi and fireplace when it cooled off in the evening. It was a short walk to the harbor and some great restaurants with a little town center not too much further (the farmers market on Sunday is worth checking out). This was a great place and we hope we'll be able to make it back!

Fantastic Beach House

We loved our stay at this house. We've rented six houses on the Cape over the years and this was definitely the best so far. The beach and water views from the veranda are outstanding and it was a joy to sit back and watch the sun going down (weather permitting). The house is well equipped and Dennis was a helpful and generous host. Barnstable village and the harbour are within walking distance. We particularly enjoyed the coffee at Nirvana and dining at The Dolphin restaurant. But the real star was the house, hopefully we'll be back one day!

Wonderful stay in Barnstable

I was lucky enough to have a friend who lives in the area, who stopped by to preview this beautiful home before we rented as we skeptical about renting online. She raved about how nice the neighborhood was and how perfect the house would be for us. Dennis was a very gracious host. The home was immaculate, comfortable and had everything we could have asked for. The water view from the deck, living area and bedroom made it the perfect place to unwind. We loved the market, coffee shop and great restaurants within walking distance. We had the perfect getaway at this beautiful home.

Our favorite place!

This was our third trip to the Cape and our second stay at this property. Dennis is lovely, has kept the place in great condition, and the views and location just can’t be beat. My kids had their own beds in a guest room and we had our own big bed, which goes a long way towards a good family vacation! The whole House is nice and clean and dry, we used the laundry and dishwasher without a problem. We had our family staying at a house a few doors down and their house was a serious letdown, so they came over every day and got to enjoy things a bit more. We love coming back, we look forward to next year!

Amazing Cape Cod home

We stayed in this house for three weeks, and had a great time making memories on Cape Cod. The views are incredible. Covered back porch was really nice on sunny days. Hot tub was great in the evenings. House was in great shape, spent a lot of our time on the large island outside the kitchen. Neighborhood is quiet, kids can run around and bike all over the place. Osterville Fish Too is just a 5 minute walk away which was great. Dennis provided a ton of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do which was really helpful. Would love to go back to this house someday.

Convenient location to tour all of Cape Cod

What a super home base for the Cape Cod area. If you don't want to tour that day, it provides a comfortable environment, amazing view, useable water front and a nice neighborhood to walk in. Plenty of assorted lawn chairs, paddle/bogie boards and beach towels. Comfortable bed and new linens. The kitchen was outfitted with every dish we needed to prepare meals. Loved the Berkie, what a waste reducer. Super clean house, including the windows and responsive owner. What a treat to find. Loved our stay on Cape Cod.

WOW - WHAT A GREAT GET AWAY

We spent 3 great days at this wonderful home. It's a perfect location, quiet, right on the water, little grocery shop nearby. The hot tub was a perfect way to start and end our days! We drove up to Provincetown to go on a Whale Watch excursion, which is a MUST do!!! Everything about this place was perfect - beds were comfortable, it's a quiet neighborhood, right on the water and had all the amenities needed. Dennis is great to work with - if he wasn't available he gave back up numbers so that anything we needed could be addressed immediately. Fortunately, everything was as it should be and no calls needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This waterfront home was exactly as the pictures promised. My family didn’t want to leave!

This house is steps away from the bay. When the tide goes out, sand bars are exposed and the shallow water is perfect for kids. My daughters enjoyed searching for fish and crabs in the tide pools. The back deck is perfect for watching sunsets in the evening, and there is even a hot tub located next to the deck. My wife and I did not make use of the hot tub since we visited during a heat wave in July; however, I imagine the hot tub is lovely during the shoulder seasons. The central AC really saved us during our stay in July, and the washer and dryer came in handy. The neighbors were incredibly friendly and the neighborhood was quite family oriented.

A Magical Place to watch the Sunrise and Sunset

We had the most wonderful stay in Dennis's house. All the reviews were spot on in the description of Dennis, the amazingly beautiful and amenity filled house, the views, everything. What a way to start and end the day, both bedrooms can hear and see the water (beds super comfy.) You can see the sunrise and sunset from the house, although we recommend watching from the hot tub, which we did every night of our stay. We had two small children who loved the hot tub, walking down in front of the house to kayak and paddleboard, and then during low tide, enjoying all the creatures walking around. Very easy walk to the harbor and the town for a coffee or ice cream. No reason to leave, we had dinner watching the sun go down from the deck. Our kids asked if we could come back next year, and hopefully we are lucky to return to this perfect spot.

Clean, Modern, and Amazing Views

First, the owners were great - very kind and accommodating; everything went smoothly. Second, the house itself was nicely done - kitchen and bathrooms seemed recently redone and were nice, lots of windows with beautiful views, nicely furnished and decorated, hot tub was awesome. Third, the location was fantastic - right on the bay in Barnstable (which is a cute town with some nice restaurants) and near to other cape towns with stuff to do (like Hyannis which has ferries to the islands, for example). We have kids, and we also loved the fact that the house was located on a quiet street, yet with houses rather close together. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood with the kids, and we liked that there were many other kids there (at least over the weekend) just biking around playing. Our kids made friends with some of the other neighborhood kids, which helped to keep them entertained. In summary, we loved the property and would definitely recommend it to others and would be happy to come back and visit in the future.

Beautiful home on the water

Our stay at this property couldn't have been more perfect. The location and view are magical. We would have been totally happy not venturing out to other beaches. The sunsets are gorgeous from the deck! This also worked out perfectly for us because our kids nap 2-3 hrs / day. They would nap inside and we would be enjoying the view from the deck with baby monitor in hand. We never felt trapped. All of the linens are provided. The bath towels were nice and fluffy. The beds and bedding were also very comfy. The home is very comfortable and clean. the kitchen has any kind of appliance, or dinnerware you could possibly need. The location of the house is what we loved best. The tide goes out and you can explore for shells or hermit crabs. A few houses down there is a lovely beach area. When we stayed it was also very quiet. Most days we would just sit on the deck and hear nothing but the water or boats. It was absolutely the best, most relaxing vacation we have taken in a long time. We hope to return next year.

A graduate of Barnard College ‘85 with a masters in art education, Sally went on to study cooking at the French Culinary Institute, where she graduated with distinction. She worked for Ina Garten, "the Barefoot Contessa", at the East Hampton eatery as well as participating in the startup of Nick and Toni’s; both pioneers in the farm to table movement, while Nick and Toni's is listed in 1000 Places to See Before you Die.

When Sally is not out helping make the world the best it can be, she is ensconced in the home she designed for herself and her daughter, surrounded by family and friends, her many art projects and her two Siamese cats, Violet and Lulu.
