Rustic cabin! Very sinple but perfect for a getaway. Beaches nearby as well as shops, Sleeping Bear, Point Betsie, and a couple hours from Mackinac for a day trip!
We loved this older cabin. The screened in porch let us let the air into the rest of house. The beds and furniture were comfy. The cabin is close to Beautiful Crystal Lake… we enjoyed a day at the beach. Plenty of fun in Frankfort too.

Quaint
A step back in time, another way of life that has disappeared.
Overall, I was disappointed with our rental. The pictures on the internet are not accurate. When I entered the cabin , I immediately smelled the mold… very musky smell. It was dark inside and with lots of cobwebs in the windows. The area was close to activity but cabin needs a redo and good cleaning. I would not return to this property

Charming but "rustic"
Loved the Location and decor of this classic Michigan cabin. Suspect this is first summer renting- no reviews. Needs some easy updates- new fridge, queen bed, fresh rug for screened porch. Could use printed list of housekeeping rules. Screened back porch was best feature but needed cleaning. Some mice issues and animal odor around cabin. Loved the location in the woods.

Hi, Jennifer! This cabin does receive regular pest control, but due to the age of the home, it will never be completely rodent-proof. We are speaking with the owner about replacing a few things, and guests are being routed to a nearby public access for the beach. Thank you!
Garbage lying around when we arrived outside - with woody area I texted to find out what to do - no effective response, upon entering noticed many cobwebs & dirty floors, and screened in porch was filly! Messaged Vacasa about that - no response. Finally mid way in week we noticed toilet was terribly broken - cracked at bottom & began to rock when you sat on that. Called Vacasa about that 2x - finally sent note on Friday asking for pics. In meantime we purposely spent time at other families cottages during day to avoid having to use toilet. I suggest we deserve a refund - it’s only 1 bath cottage. Also kitchen sink faucit was stupid crazy. We cleaned up porch & places inside but toilet issue & non- response was a deal breaker!!!

Charming But Not Comfy
The first time I stayed at Park Vogel Cottage was in August of 2015 and nothing has changed except maybe a few pieces of furniture. Nine years later, it is beyond time for an update. A new mattress, blankets and pillows would be a great start. Window shades that work, fixing the leaky faucets, a new coffee maker and some additional kitchen tools would be nice—please add a vegetable peeler! The best part of the cottage is the screened in porch—which unfortunately was filthy when we arrived making it unusable. Many phone calls and SMS messages were required to get it cleaned two days after our arrival. If I did not have friends with a large comfortable cottage a quarter mile down the road, I would not stay here again. I do like the location, we discovered a great walk to Lake Michigan on this trip.

Karen, thank you for sharing your feedback and bringing some items to our attention that may need some TLC. We encourage all owners to update and renovate their homes when they are able to do so and we have passed your feedback to them. We apologize that the screened-in porch wasn't properly cleaned upon your arrival, thank you for letting us send our team and issue a refund for the inconvenience this caused. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service, and we will follow up with the appropriate parties to ensure our service standards are fully met. We hope you'll give us another chance to better serve you!
The smell of musty is overwhelming. Mice poop in the cupboards and cobwebs throughout. Fan running when we arrived as well as charcoal bags throughout rental to try and hide smell. Would not stay there for half the price! Vacasa refunded the cleaning fee, but we did not allow them back in to clean as it would have taken hours and the musty smell would still be there. We asked to be relocated and no response on that request. They eventually refunded 10% of our fee as well as our cleaning fee. Their own policy states that if a customer wants to be moved to another rental and has a legitimate reason, they will move the customer. I asked as soon as we checked in and it was never acted on. Do not stay here, I have pictures that clearly show it theirs were photoshopped. Vacasa pulls you along by telling you they are working on resolving the issue, but management does not respond.
If you're looking for a small cozy cabin, you found it. Very well decorated inside with many nautical trinkets. Love the Huron Light-Ship. We stayed here, while competing in a sailing regatta at the Crystal Lake Yacht Club. Proximity was perfect, from distance to Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, and downtown Frankfurt. Everything was within a few minutes of driving. We took day trips up to Glen Arbor, Fishtown, and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We also went tubing on the Platte River. Our family enjoyed the open ceiling of the cottage, and the ability to casually talk over the walls while laying in bed at night. I'd strongly suggest this place!
Flawless check-in!! If help was needed, it was a phonecall away! We booked this cabin almost a year in advance. We loved the secluded, in the woods, hunter/ fishing cabin vibe! Was well stocked with what we needed. No fish cleaning facilities at the cabin but one is located 3 miles away in Frankfort. Close to Crystal lake, Lake Michigan, Big Platte lake, and Betsie River. All around, a great place to stay! We hope to stay at this cabin again.
We pulled up and we're greeted by a cute green home. Inside is very cottage-esque. We enjoyed staying in the home and having a place to rest during a family wedding. We didn't get to spend much time at the beaches but they looked like a fun place to visit.
This quaint rustic cottage was perfect for our small family. It had all the amenities you needed and was very cozy. This is definitely a typical old style fisherman‘s cottage. We loved all the character. It’s conveniently located in between Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake. We spent most of our days looking for rocks on Lake Michigan. Frankfort is just a short drive away where we enjoyed the beach, good restaurants and shopping. There is 75 feet of the lake front property across M-22 on Crystal Lake but has not been maintained. We rented a fishing boat and went fishing and the surrounding lakes, golfed, and drove up and M-22 and visited Fishtown. This area is beautiful. We never had any problems finding something to do. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Very homey rustic cabin. Centrally located to lakes and Frankfort. Comfy reading room and screened porch.

Old Fisherman Cabin
We had a nice stay in Frankfort MI. The Cabin was cozy and very small. It was not very ideal for young children. There were exposed outlets and steep steps up to the house. It is also very close to a busy road so we did not want our kids to be outside without supervision. It would be a nice get away for a couple or even a family with older kids. There is a nice back yard and it is very close to a number of gorgeous beaches.
