About this property
Owl Point - Waterfront Maine
Welcome to Owl Point. Enjoy our more than 10 acres of serene waterfront in mid-coast Maine. Walk the shoreline paths or sit by the fire before dining outside on one of the porches overlooking the water. The house is secluded and peaceful, but 5 minutes from all you could need or want in the the town of Blue Hill. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and Deer Isle are all a short drive away.
Owl Point can comfortably host a couple or a party of eight, with 5 true bedrooms and multiple living spaces. Each room has its own personality and connection to the outdoors. The main living room, with its stone fireplace, is a cozy place for two people to enjoy the fire and read or a great space to host a gathering and chat with friends. Have a picnic on one of the points or launch a kayak and swim off the other. Play badminton, bocce, or croquet on the lawn or sit on the porch and watch the birds swoop through the meadows.

Why they chose this property
We've been coming up my grandmother's place in Blue Hill my whole life and recently purchased Owl Point. We love the sunny meadow views and watching the Bluebirds and Bluejays swoop and bicker. We love having access to so much waterfront with the iconic rocky points I love about the Maine coast. I love the various porches that wrap around the property and the birch tree that the porch has wrapped around in front. The house feels comfortable with two people here or many more. My husband is the cook and the 48 inch Viking is something we never dreamt of having before. We love how easy it is to drive to the grocery store and into town, so it's not a huge deal if you run out of eggs or forgot something on your list.
What makes this property unique
The house has lots of space to hang out- you can picnic in the pine groves by the water, play games on the lawn or lounge on the porch.
We love going for hikes in Acadia National Park and on nearby Blue Hill.
There's a great wineshop, bookstores, library, grocery stores and coffee shop in town. There are nearby beaches and lobster shacks to explore (try Carrying Place Beach on Newbury Neck). You can explore the Salt Pond by renting your own kayaks or canoes (The Activity Shop will deliver and pick them up).
