Does the vacation you are envisioning include waking up to breathtaking views of schooners passing by as you sip your hot morning coffee? Or perhaps enjoying a glass of wine after a long day of exploring everything the coast of Maine has to offer? Or maybe you are just looking to escape the busy, fast paced reality of your life so you can experience "The Way Life Should Be?" If you answered yes to any of these questions, then we would love to welcome you to enjoy our beautiful home overlooking the Penobscot Bay Thoroughfare. Our wonderful family home boasts a PRIME oceanfront setting. overlooking the Deer Isle Thoroughfare, multiple islands, including Sheep and Saddleback Island, as well as many other nearby islands. It has a diverse shoreline with both rocky frontage and beach area, as well as trails through the 100 acres of woods the property sits on. The interior of the house has an open floor plan with lots of sun spilling in through the panoramic shore facing windows. Enjoy sweeping ocean views from the open living room, dining area, and kitchen, along with master bedroom. There are four total bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 2 with built in twin bunks (each sleep 2) - lower bed suitable for children, top bunk has no railing). There are 3 baths and washer and dryer. Step back outside to the wrap around deck, with its gorgeous views over the water and out to the surrounding islands. The Main House is but a stones throw from hundreds of feet of gorgeous shore front comprised of large granite boulders, tidal pools, pebbled beach, sandy beaches, and dock.

We also have another property available for rentals located just up the trail (3 minute walk!), sleeps 4 and also has gorgeous ocean views. The listing # is 1434578. Great to rent both properties together if you have a large group of friends or family!

Our family has been coming to Spruce Harbor on Deer Isle, Maine since the early 1900s but we didn't build our own houses until the 1960s which is when the Main House was completed. The Cottage was built up the road in the 1990s. Both were built by our family, with the help from dear friends. We have spent many summers boating, exploring, swimming, cooking, kayaking, and just sitting in awe wondering how a place so magnificent has been a huge part of our lives and who we are. The exquisite beauty and fresh air have been enjoyed by many generations, and we don't plan to stop any time soon! We hope you enjoy our piece of heaven on earth.

What makes this property unique
