Charming Tahoe Vacation Home 2br/2ba

The perfect winter and summer getaway. This family friendly home is located in a traditional and quiet neighborhood of South Lake Tahoe. Enjoy a relaxing and local experience. Far enough from the busy areas of the city but still within easy reach of restaurants etc. Relax at your home away from home.

We're on the Western side of South Lake Tahoe, close to Camp Richardson, Pope Beach, Fallen Leaf Lake, Mt. Tallac and Emerald Bay. Heavenly and the casinos are only about 15 minutes by car.

The house has two levels. Downstairs you can find the cozy living room as well as the open kitchen / dining room and a bathroom. Off the kitchen is a mud room with a separate entrance. The kitchen is fully equipped. The large dining room table can fit up to eight people. On the other side of the house is the living room with entertainment system (TV, apple TV (no cable), games etc.) two couches (three seats and two seats) and a desk. The downstairs bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet.

Upstairs you'll find the second bathroom also equipped with a shower, sink and toilet as well as both bedrooms. One bedroom comes with a California King bed and the other one with a Queen and a bunk bed. Both bedrooms have large walk-in closets. In addition to the beds, we also have a floor mattress for additional sleeping arrangements.

The heating system is central forced air. The main bedroom has an AC unit built in for hot summer nights even thought the nights in Tahoe are usually nice and cool.

The house also comes with a double driveway and a double garage that you are free to use for your cars but also to store your ski, snowboards, etc.

The mountain themed decor gives this home a warm and very welcoming cabin feeling.

Cozy cabin

This cabin was perfect for us! Large bedrooms… huge closets… big kitchen. We stayed a month and had a great time. I loved the big laundry room with washer and dryer. Well stocked kitchen had everything you could need. I particularly loved the AC unit in the master bedroom!!!! Most places in Tahoe dont have one. Karsten was so kind and accommodating!!!! You can’t go wrong with her place it’s perfect we’ll definitely stay again!!!!!

Perfect location

We stayed for the month on July and we are so glad we did. The house was located in a great neighborhood where we could ride bikes just about anywhere we wanted to go in town. There were plenty of beds for the 5 of us and everything we needed was already here. The yard was so nice for BBQs and lawn games. I wish we had booked longer:)

Home away from home

Wonderful stay at this home. It was so thoughtfully furnished and had everything we could imagine to help make our stay comfortable. In addition, the location was perfect for easy access to daily walks in the neighborhood trails connecting to Tahoe Keys and Pope Beach, as well as easy drive to amazing hikes in South Lake. Karsten was also super communicative and helpful. Overall, fantastic stay!

Every time I travel myself I try to avoid staying in hotels to actually have a true local experience. It makes such a difference to stay at somebody's home. Hope you'll have the same experience.
