The Charming Tahoe Cabin is located just 2 blocks from Spectacular Lake Tahoe and 2 Miles from Heavenly Ski Resort and Nevada Casinos! We are pet friendly and have 4 adult bikes for your use! We also have a hot tub cleaned after each visit!

The Charming Tahoe Cabin has a hot tub, fireplace, large flat screen HDTV, high speed wireless internet, 4 adult bikes and a large, fenced backyard. We are pet friendly and allow up to 3 dogs of any size.

The cabin has been beautifully renovated. Downstairs bedroom has a double wood carved bed and a solid pine armoire. One upstairs bedroom has a log queen bed and a log single bed, also a cable TV. The other upstairs bedroom has a log queen bed and a log single bed with pine furniture. There is a fold down couch, also. On the redwood deck there is a Hot Tub to warm up on chilly nights and look at the stars. Cook on the Gas Grill and enjoy the sunny large fenced backyard. We provide 2 gas tanks in order to insure you won't run out of gas while grilling.

Boat Rentals, Ski Rentals, Bicycle Rentals and Horseback Riding are all within a 10 minute drive.

Amenities: High Speed Wireless Internet Access, Hot Tub, Bikes, Deck, Patio Furniture, Gas Grill. Large Fenced-In back yard. Kitchen has Washer and Dryer, Microwave, Dishwasher, Granite Countertops and Pine Dining Table which seats eight. Living room has a large screen HDTV, Stereo, CD, VCR, DVD, telephone, fireplace and a sleeper sofa. There are assorted games for the family to enjoy. Iron and Ironing Board and hair dryer are also available.

Activities: There is something for everyone at Lake Tahoe. You can swim, boat, fish in the Lake. Go on bike rides or hike on the many trails. For the Golfer there are 3 courses located within a 10-20 minute drive. There are many world class ski resorts which surround the Lake for Skiers, Snow Boarders, Sledders and Snow Tubing. Heavenly Ski Resort is only 2 miles away. For the cowboy in you, there is horseback riding just 10 minutes away!

Visit the turn of the century mansions of Vahalla at Richardson Beach or Vikingsholm at Emerald Bay. Rent a boat and cruise around the lake, or take one of the paddle wheel boats, Tahoe Queen or M.S. Dixie for a tour of the Lake.

Take a short drive to Nevada and explore the Historic Virginia City and Gold Mines.

There is something for everyone at Lake Tahoe.

Area: Lake Tahoe is the Jewel of the Sierra Mountains, with its clear blue waters for boating, swimming and fishing. The skiing and snowboarding is world class.

Lastly, one of our favorite authors, Samuel Clemens of Mark Twain Fame, once wrote 'To breathe the air that angels breathe, go to Lake Tahoe.' He's right. The air with the sweet, clean pine scent is absolutely wonderful.

We loved our stay. Such a perfect location. Felt like home away from home. Walked the neighborhood, met some neighbors. Our dogs were comfortable, the home was perfect for all of us.

Charming Cabin Indeed

I recently stayed here with family and it was the perfect spot for us. It was clean, the hot tub was amazing, and the short walk to the private beach was perfect! I highly recommend booking this property!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage. I chose this home because of the location and we were so pleased - it was very close to the lake. Family had a great time. There is a lot to do in the area.

Will not be our last stay here!

Our first stay at this wonderful cabin and will not be our last! Fourth annual trip for Festival of Lights. We used to stay in hotels, but traveling with our furry family member, a cabin is definitely the way to stay. This is an amazing cabin, so cozy. We like it better than our own home and the kids did not want to leave!

Everything was just PERFECT!

Thanks for having us at your wonderful cabin. Everything was just PERFECT! Conservation Mountain Meadow was such a nice beach to take the family to without a lot of people. South Lake Tahoe is such a spectacular place to vacation. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. We hope we can come back again someday soon!

Bucket list trip! Yosemite NP to Lake Tahoe to Sequoia NP

Loved the bikes and the hot tub! The spice rack was amazing- it was so nice to have spices available for cooking so I didn't have to buy more. The gas fireplace and grill were also great. Loved the 2 minute walk to the beach as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

I felt spoiled! It had everything!

I felt spoiled staying at this cabin! It had everything and more than what we needed! Thank you so much! This luxury cabin was super pet friendly and our dog had a blast in the fenced in backyard, too! We'll be back!!!

Great place to stay with kids and a dog

This is our second stay at this cabin. The first time was in june for our wedding and this time a whole week for some fun in the snow. The cabin is big enough for all of us and the backyard gave us plenty of space to play in the snow. The kitchen had all the necessities and we cooked all our meals in house which saved us a ton of money. The cabin was warm to come in after a day of playing in the snow or skiing. The hot tub was warm and clean and inviting. The only downfalls for our family were not having a mud room or garage for our ski stuff and a few of the mattresses are getting pretty worn. Otherwise we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Well worn cabin in a great location

We had a good stay here. The cabin is in a great location in South Lake Tahoe, quiet, off the main drag but close to everything. Very close to a park and a couple of restaurants. 5 of us enjoyed it. Likes: - Location is great - Hot tub was fun and well maintained - Kitchen was adequately equipped - Tech all worked well WiFi and Cable - Hosts were very responsive to questions Dislikes - Neighborhood is very mixed with everything from multistory expensive modern homes to run down shacks - Beds/pillows were well worn and not very comfortable - While a nice idea the 4 bikes were more like 2.5 - two worked, one had only one brake and one had a non-functional saddle (there is a bike rental place about a 10 minute walk away though) Things to note: - There is very little cell phone service for T-Mobile or Verizon in the area. We were unable to make calls from the cabin unless over WiFi - No hand or bath soap is provided nor coffee filters....you may want to get both before to avoid a second trip out

a few hiccups but overall comfortable stay

We had a small family getaway with five adults and a baby. The cabin size was perfect for us, so I would not necessarily recommend for larger groups. Location was great -- far enough away from the busy streets, but close enough to Safeway, the lake, Hwy 50 -- and Heavenly. We arrived at the cabin at 4:00 pm, but the cleaners turned us away and asked us to come back in another hour. This was a bit of an inconvenience since our restless baby was in desperate need of a nap. It probably would have been nice to have been given a heads-up that we couldn't check in on time. The cabin is small but cozy. There was just enough room in the living room to set up a playpen and for the adults to mill around. The bedrooms were all comfortable in size, and the sheets seemed clean, but the duvets/comforters needed a good wash (e.g. blood stain on one of the duvets). My brother in law enjoyed the hot tub, and we took advantage of the grill. Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay at this charming cabin.

The house was dirty. The silver ware container and drawer was dirty. The top of the refrigerator and hood were greasy and dirty. Carpet up stairs was dirty. The stairs are extremely steep. The back yard is dirt and unappealing.

Location, location, location!

This cabin is exactly as described on the VRBO site. The very best thing about the cabin is the short two block walk to Regan Beach, a park with lovely grassy areas, volleyball court, picnic tables and a sidewalk that curves along the lake for over a mile, ideal for strolls, and beach access. for children, kayaking, and dogs. I stayed in this cabin for the month of July, when a heat wave hit the are, but none of us were ever hot thanks to the many windows and fans.The one serious consideration when renting the cabin is the very steep, narrow stairs leading to the spacious upstairs.The owners provided ample towels, blankets, and pillows. Plus, they provided all the soaps and paper products needed for a month’s stay.

Cute cabin by the lake!

We had a lovely stay in this adorable cabin 2 blocks from the lake. My husband and I stayed for a month and enjoyed hosting family and friends for weekends. The dogs loved the fenced backyard. Great hot tub. Mary was very responsive and great to work with. We will be coming back.

Tahoe for Holidays

I had a great month long stay in this great little cabin had everything we needed to enjoy the surrounds of the nearby lake within walking distance and a dog park. Neighborhood is perfectly located to everything. The hot tub and gas fireplace are a plus. Host were great communicators on everything we needed.

Cozy Cabin

Our family of 5 and our two dogs stayed for 3 months (May-Aug). The beds are super comfy, the kitchen is stocked with plenty of kitchenware, the backyard is fenced in which was great for the dogs. Steve and Mary were just a quick call away and responded promptly! Being only two short blocks away from the beach and park was awesome! Having access to the bikes was a nice added bonus.

The photos don't do this place justice!

What a perfect spot in walking distance from everything good! A block away from the beautiful lake; an eyesight catch! Was not expecting all the accomodations here. Everything in house so up to date, upkept, and the maintained spa so easy to use. 500 plus Premium channels to watch on TV for in home days, nights. Bicycles at hand, per host, to enjoy cruising around town in beautiful weather. Supplies for laundry, dishwashing, toiletries are fully stocked. The cabin is considerably more "Charming" than I had imagined via the photos. Pets loved it, too! (Huge back yard!) Hosts are quick to respond and were great at answering my curiosities about eateries and any concerns about the cabin. There is also an information binder with a list of favorited available activities.. along with town ordinances, cabin care/ access (for less chatty guests) to keep things simple. Neighbors are great, too! Think we have found our Tahoe stay! Until next time... Thank you!

Great location for a ski lease!

We rented the house for 3 months (Jan-March 2022) and had a great time. The space was perfect for our group of 6 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 small dog. The fenced backyard was great for the dog and the hot tub was great for us! We'd definitely stay here again, and the location is really convenient for skiing at Heavenly and restaurants/shopping in South Lake. You can also walk to the waterfront path or a small playground!

Cozy log cabin

During our 2 month stay our contact with the owners was wonderful. Whenever we had a concern it was quickly addressed. Everything about our stay was incredible. The only single issue was the spa. It only functioned properly for the first week of our stay. The owners did send out repairmen, but ultimately the spa was not consistent. The internet connection is a life saver due to the horrible cellular reception (AT&T). During our 2 month stay we only had to reset it once. Ultimately we were so happy we left the owners with a gift. That should say it all.

Steve and Mary purchased The Charming Tahoe Cabin in 2005, fulfilling a life long dream to have a cabin at Lake Tahoe. There are not many places on this Earth that is as beautiful as Tahoe and the Sierras. Sometimes it takes our breath away. We spend our summers now biking around the Lake, riding our horses along the Tahoe Rim Trail (130 miles completed) and now kyaking around the Lake (completed 3 times). Our son, Kenny, says we are going to be dancing around the Lake next...OK, bring it on! Winter sports here are unparalleled. Come enjoy this special place!

Why they chose this property

We purchased our Charming Tahoe Cabin because it is located just 2 blocks from Spectacular Lake Tahoe and only 2 miles from Heavenly Ski Resort. The casinos are just 2 miles away for great nightlife fun and concerts. Restaurants are all within a couple minutes. It's a very warm and cozy and special place.
