About this property

Jughandle Coast Vacation Home

This home is conveniently located between Fort Bragg (5 minutes away) and the Village of Mendocino (10 minutes away). Located 1/4 mile from the beach, the home is also close to state parks (Jug Handle, Russian Gulch, Redwood Forest, Van Damm and McKerricher) which are especially great for hiking, biking and beach access.

The home is very private, set on two wooded acres. A grassy yard opens into a meadow surrounded by redwoods, pine and fir. The house features cathedral ceilings and warm wood floors throughout, a completely equipped kitchen, cable TV/VCR, CD player, telephone, toasty wood-stove with a glass window for dinners in firelight, and a large back&side deck with outdoor dining and a barbecue for grilling.

This Mendocino house has a king, a queen, and two trundle beds (each of these beds can sleep two singles or make into queen size beds). All firewood, linens, kitchen supplies, and bedding are provided for your convenience as well as a washer and dryer. Portable crib is available.

The house and deck are wheel chair accessible but the bathroom is not large enough to accommodate a standard wheel chair.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please: Put garbage/recyclables out in the bins. Wash dishes/pots/pans and store in cupboards. Unplug toaster/coffee maker/water pot. Turn off oven/range. Put woodstove fire out/close woodstove door.
Turn thermostat "off". Deck chair cushions inside. Lock windows/sliders. Turn lights off.
Lock Door: Use keypad to lock door. Do not lock the front door handle lock on the inside. Use the electronic keypad only. Put the front door key back under the mat (if used to unlock door handle).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We had a great stay here! The place was very clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we got into a car crash on our way to the house, but arriving at such a peaceful and comfortable space really made a tough day a lot better. We enjoyed our time in this charming home. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, utensils, and anything we needed to cook when preparing meals. It was always nice to come back to this very quiet retreat in the afternoon but still close enough to get into town if we wanted. Very calming to look out in the yard.
