Betty is a wonderful host! Great communication and warm welcome, this garden apartment in a lovely, safe, quiet neighborhood was perfect for my extended stay, easy approx 1 mile or less walks through nice neighborhoods to shopping center, beach , cafes, markets and anything you’d need. Very comfortable bed and pillows, well stocked little kitchen with seating for 2, bathroom with tub and room for your toiletries, living room with a nice work station facing a window with a garden view that I used for remote work . There is a wall heater that I could control and used a few of the cool mornings. Perfect size for a couple. This is one of 5 garden apartments that are tucked in off the street. No street noise at all. I arrived at night and the entrance was a bit difficult to find because of the foliage, some solar lights at the entrance might be helpful here. Just a few times during my weeks long stay I could hear light noise from the apartments adjacent to me but nothing disturbing. I’m glad I found this and I’ll likely return for my next visit.

First of all, there is no winery as part of this stay. Our stay was a perfect place for us. Perfect location. Off street parking in this area is a must. We were charmed by the home and decor. One of us is mildly disabled at this time, and found the stairs to be easily accessible despite the personal condition. We found a delicious home baked loaf of bread awaiting our arrival, which we enjoyed very much. Checking in was easy, and Betty wanted us to contact her once we arrived so she could answer any questions we had. We did not meet with her, but she sounded like a delightful hostess, concerned with our comfort in her property. We will certainly stay with her the next time we return to the area for visits with family and friends. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful residential area

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were visiting family so we didn’t need to use all the facilities on offer but it is cosy and well equipped. There are some lovely restaurants within walking distance and excellent shops. The bay is a short walk away with views of San Francisco. We highly recommend it.

Alameda Bungalow

The cottage was very clean and we had everything we needed during our stay. The owner was gracious, prompt answering all our questions and provided us with excellent information regarding the area. She even had a small cake waiting for us in the kitchen upon our arrival. Shopping was close by and we were within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. Perfect location and accommodations for us.

This is very special. As you stay a week, you realize how all the things you have at home are here, and good quality too. It's beautiful, the seats outside are idyllic, I've used it just to reflect even for 5 minutes. This is a wonderful home and a very beautiful home as well, beautiful bath. kitchen, table at window... So restful for your holiday.

Great Quiet Apartment

We stayed at Betty's rental for 10 days over Thanksgiving while visiting family at Alameda. The location was convenient, safe and quiet. The apartment itself was very comfortable and clean. Online pictures and information are accurate. Hopefully we can stay here again the next time we travel to Alameda. As other people have mentioned, the parking spot was great! Ken & Kathe

Beautiful and so convenient to Everything

Sweet, lovely little apartment, beautifully appointed. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The sofa bed is not really a viable 2nd bed for longer stays - thin mattress and could totally feel the bars through it. But it would be an absolutely perfect place for a couple. Betty was an outstanding host. My roommate had a major health crisis and we thought we would have to stay a day or more longer and she was super kind and very accommodating. I highly recommend her darling, peaceful place.

As others have said, this is a great property. It's located in a quiet, safe neighborhood and has a parking space. Alameda is a central location from which you can access all parts of the east bay. With the full kitchen you can prepare your own meals. One of the best aspects for me was that we lacked for nothing. I had forgotten to bring my flashlight. Bingo! there was a flashlight in the closet. Will make this my go-to place in the future.
