My family and I just stayed at this lovely home. It was very clean and in a perfect location. We loved sitting on the deck that overlooked Lake Huron. You can see Mackinac Island and the ferries going back and forth. Perfect home base for Mackinac and U.P. adventures!
We loved our stay at Blue Bliss in St Ignace! Great location, close to park that had nightly musicians; music we could enjoy on our deck with amazing views of St Ignace Bay! Gorgeous sunrise views!! local attraction brochures,
The location of this cottage was perfect! We enjoyed St. Ignace and Mackinac Island as well as surrounding State Parks. The location is very close to Shepler's Ferry and other restaurants. We especially enjoyed The Gangplank and the Double Decker Mackinac Ice Cream.
My daughter and fiancé stayed to attend my wedding on the island. It was very clean and peaceful with a beautiful view of the island. Getting to and from the island was easy and they wished they frequently said they wished they could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this property!
Everything was great, we loved the privacy of the property yet you were close to everything St Ignace had to offerIt could use a bathroom and TV on the second floorAnd a dishwasher and K cup coffee maker But we were very comfortable there and it is very quiet and peaceful in the late evening
Very convenient base to access all interesting spots in the Mackinac/St Ignace area. Restaurants, Grocery, kids’ park are within minutes. Very quiet for restful relaxation. A couple minor minuses; the oven would not heat up past 130, that made our home away from home cooking a bit interesting. A dishwasher would have been handy especially when staying with children. Overall, we all like the place and would book again.
The home was spotless. The rental company had excellent and complete communication. It is within walking distance of a couple small parks, and really the whole town of St. Ignace if you like to walk. When the nearby ferry company reopens, you'll be able to walk there in just a couple minutes! St. Ignace is much less busy than Mackinaw City, so I was glad to find a place there. There's a terrific view off the deck. They have everything you need in the kitchen. The traffic from the main road through town is loud, but easily drowned out by the window A/C units. I would stay here again.
The Blue Bliss is the perfect location with gorgeous views! We were able to explore the whole area right from this location- from Saint Ignace, Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs, all within an hour from the home. The home was overall very clean when we arrived. The living room furniture was very comfortable and we loved waking up to that view! The deck and furniture is wonderful, too!
Some things that could be addressed to put this listing at excellent:
1. The bathroom walls need to be thoroughly wiped down and clean. Even freshly painted.
2. The kitchen could be elevated by simply painting the cabinets and walls. The front room looks so well updated, simple changes to the bathroom and kitchen would elevate the space. 3. We travel all over the country and this was the first VRBO that only gives you one extra toilet paper roll. I read the previous reviews on it, so we came prepared, but having at least a full package of toilet paper, especially for a 5 night stay, is appropriate. I had hoped because this was mentioned in the previous reviews, this would have been remedied, but it had not.
4. No hand soap for kitchen or bath. Again, never have we experienced this ever in a VRBO home. Renters shouldn't have to get to a rental and not have that available to them. This was also something past renters complained about that I had hoped would have been remedied, but it had not.
5. The downstairs bed is not comfortable. We did not use the upstairs so I cannot speak to those beds. It could use a larger and new mattress.
We would recommend this home because of the location and proximity to most everything. Great location to walk downtown. We love that it is dog friendly, too!! The area is beautiful!
This is a nice property. The location is fantastic. A couple items to note: 1. There is one bedroom on the first floor and 2 bedrooms on the second floor; all have window a/c units. 2. We, thankfully, had plenty of hot water despite needing 5 people's showers each evening. 3. The top bunk bed has a miserably thin mattress that is basically useless. Don't plan on having anyone, even a child, sleep on it. The wooden slats can be felt through the mattress even with minimal pressure. 4. The kitchen cabinets could use a good scrubbing. 5. There is not a dishwasher so plan on washing dishes by hand. 6. Minimal supplies such as shampoo and dish detergent were provided. 7. Overall a pleasant stay.
The check in process was super easy, house was clean, view of the Lake was great and the patio was more private than I expected. Park across the street for our little one, and the ferry to Mackinac was just down the street. Quiet at night. My family had a great time here.
Nice location; Great view from back deck.
Well decorated. Newer washer/dryer.
Plenty of towels and linens.
Ample eating space.
Close to town and ferry dock.
Nice park nearby with nightly entertainment.
Rental, check in, & check out process was smooth. House was in good condition. Accommodations were very comfortable. Beautiful view of Lake Huron., straits. St. Ignace is a lovely place.

disappointed, expected better
Home is very dated, which I do not mind if it were clean. The walls and cupboard are in dire need of a good scrub. Aside from that we had to make 2 trips to the store for basic items. Once for hand soap, which you would assume would be a normal provision. Upon returning from the store and beginning to prepare dinner, we noticed there was no dish soap or scrub brushes for washing dishes. So we had to run to the store again. Also, we were unable get the tv to function in the evenings in hopes of winding down after a full day of activities. My daughters bed only had sheets, so she found blankets from an adjacent room. The deck was nice, we spend plenty of time out there enjoying the view.
Location was fantastic - right across from the ferry to Mackinac Island (walking distance!). The town had several great places to eat, so we had fun just being out and about when not on the island. Great outside deck overlooking the water. Unfortunately the property was not cleaned up to the standards I would have liked (property manager called a pest control person as soon as I called). Master bedroom bed is a full size; not even a queen, which made it really hard for me and my partner to stay in the same room (one of us slept on the couch in the living room).
This home was one of my kids' favorite parts of the whole trip! If anything I think the pictures undersell it. We went in late October and were able to have a nice view of the lake and ferries from the living room. The games were a lot of fun and the decorations really captured the location well. There were all sorts of blankets to warm up with after being outside. We were within walking distance of basically the whole downtown and it was easy travel to Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish point, and the island. Going in slightly the offseason made staying 6 ft. away from people a breeze. They are one bigger bed in the master bedroom away from having the perfect vacation rental!
