We had an absolutely amazing time at this house! It was far enough away from town where we could enjoy the water and not hear all the noise! We played games on the deck while enjoying the water. Just a wonderful, cute, perfect place to stay!
This is a terrific waterfront property on the Grand Traverse Bay. The two-level house layout flows well. It is conveniently located near many attractions - Traverse City, Fishtown, and Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. There is car noise from M22, but it is not overwhelming.
We loved our stay at this property. The house was great and is exactly like it’s pictured. Whoever decorated did a great job. Everyone was comfortable. The location is perfect and the peninsula has become a new Michigan favorite. Our only issues were with spiders and ants on the counter, but we know it’s a lakeside cabin. Also the road was a bit loud but most of the time it didn’t bother us.
Overall we had a good time. Right on Grand Traverse Bay with a shallow area good for younger children. The home was well stocked with excellent provisions from the kitchen right down to the great bath towels and beach towels as well. Also, kayaks are available to use and many life vests are available. The layout also works well for those with children or multiple guests with a large living space at the ground level that includes a queen bed and twin bed trundle. However, one must be aware that the home is right on M-22 so there is a bit of traffic noise to overcome.
Could not ask for anything better! The house was a great size for our girls trip (but would be perfect for a larger family or even two families since the downstairs was its own separate space), and the views were spectacular! We did not want for anything - fully stocked kitchen, toys and gear for the lake, comfortable beds/linens/pillows, wonderful outdoor living options, amazing location! I can’t say enough positives about this rental and will seek this property out again in the future!
We loved our stay!
We enjoyed the house, the bay, the area… ALL so nice!
Very cool location close to so much… and right on the water!
Loved swimming, kayaking and floating!
Highly recommend this cozy home!!
This property is on the water. The dock is great for swimming and using the kayaks supplied by the owner. The house is really nice and the deck outside has a beautiful view of the lake. We had a wonderful week.
The house was clean, smelled fresh, all appliances worked, beds were comfortable. The house is located in a great area so we were able to go south into town and also north to explore a little. It was a perfect week and I would definitely stay at this property again! Some people may find the traffic from M22 too loud, but after a while, we didn't even notice it.
This is our second year of staying at this waterfront home south of Suttons Bay. The owner provided kayaks and life jackets which were used multiple times each day. The house is very clean and inviting. My grandchildren enjoyed playing the games on the shelves. The kitchen has everything you need for a vacation stay,
We had a really nice time at this property. 5 good sized adults, and there was plenty of space. Nice water toys, and the lake with great sunrises, all wonderful. Very attentive and action oriented property manager (Lee).
We had an absolutely great time at Lee’s place and so lucky to have booked it! We went for a girls weekend and able to closely visit wineries, hang out on the balcony and have dinner in Traverse City. We kept remarking the whole weekend how perfect it was. We would love to come back next year, thanks Lee!
The house was wonderful, right on Lake Michigan! It was as advertised and better! The kitchen had everything we needed, the house was stocked with all the essentials and the amount of water sport items was more than expected! Lee made it easy to communicate with and always replied promptly! If we need a place to stay again in N. Michigan, we will be looking here first!
Our VRBO was absolutely fantastic!
The layout of the home as well as being right on the bay was the perfect choice for us and our friends.
The distance to downtown was far enough away that we felt the charm of the bay but close enough to travel to all the fun downtown sites to explore and enjoy.
The home was very clean and was supplied well with extras to have fun if we just wanted to stay, enjoy the dock and water. recommend this VRBO highly.
We had a great time. We enjoyed the water & the water toys. We drove to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes & did the scenic drive tour & took lots of photos! We drove into Traverse City & did some shopping in the Open Space tents & walked through the down town area & along the marina to admire the fancy boats. We ate at some of our favorite restaurants & A
The house was clean and organized. We had everything we needed for cooking for seven people. The grandchildren with their parents enjoyed the kayaks. The sun rise was magnificent from the deck that overlooks Lake Michigan.
The Waterfront home had beautiful views, especially from the expansive upper-level deck and wonderful dock with easy-access stairs to the clear, clean and waist-high - shallow for over 300 feet - lake. We built fires every night in the fire bowl to enjoy the moonrises and bountiful stars. The early-morning sunrises were absolutely stunning. The house is well-equipped and does have a cottage-like feel. Situated on M22, you do contend with traffic noise, but with a location halfway between Traverse City and Suttons Bay, it is a great spot to see and do so much.
We had a wonderful stay! The two floors were perfect, we had a floor for grandparents and a floor for our family with the kids. The water was clear and shallow and fun for everyone to wade around. The water toys were a blast, we made extensive use of the kayaks, water matsl and stand up paddle board. We also had a lovely swan visitor. Great location between Suttons Bay and Traverse City. Stunning view of the bay. We loved every minute and would definitely return!
Wow! The back of the house has two lare decks facing the water and is just gorgeous! House is beachy and super cute and very clean. Lower level is perfect for a family with kids. Location to TC and to wineries is awesome. Only downside is that it is on a busy street so those sleeping on main floor had some traffic noise (white noise on your phone might be helpful). All in all, loved it!
The waterfront home with cottage charm was a comfortable stay for the week. We enjoyed the lovely views of the water, the great deck overlooking it, and the open windows that let in a lot of sun and the view. The bathrooms were recently redone and are very nice. The home is right off of M22 and we were not prepared for how noisy the road is at night, and did detract from the peace and quiet of going up north. The basement is damp for anyone sleeping down there, and we had to get the propane tank filled for the grill and pick up more toilet paper and paper towel for our stay. Communication with the owner was very responsive, and there were a lot of board games and water toys that made our stay more fun with kids!
We have stayed at Lee's wonderful lake home three years now. It has everything we want: dock for kayaking, two decks for relaxing, fire pit. There is no amenity needed that is not stocked. The beds are comfortable. Not only is the house clean, but it decorated so lovely. The location is perfect for day trips. We visit many small towns, wineries, restaurants, bike trails and dunes. Lee is a great host; although we find that we don't even need to reach out to her since every detail is covered. The first year we had questions about the area and she was always gracious and quick to respond. Before finding this place, we stayed at a couple that were lacking. This one is a gem! :)
We had a wonderful week on the bay. The house is well put together and well stocked with quality kitchen equipment, comfortable beds and couches, and an abundant amount of towels, beach towels, blankets etc. all for a convenient and cozy time. The lake view from the balcony and downstairs porch cannot be beat. The dock with a ladder and stairs is perfect for getting in the water to swim or launch kayaks and paddle board which are provided with the house along with other water gear. The new bathrooms are great as well and the upstairs and downstairs set up gives ample space for everyone. Lee was very responsive but also mostly let us be which is our preference and even is mailing back an item I foolishly left behind.
We had a wonderful family vacation here. Everything was brand new and clean. The owner, Lee, was incredibly accommodating, honest, and happy to get us anything we needed/wanted. The view is beautiful. We asked if she had a firepit and she happily got us a brand new one. Having kayaks and paddleboard was awesome. We used her brand new cooler on our boat day and her life jackets provided. She also left us delicious local wine, coffee and all the goodies for s'mores. Her restaurant suggestions in the book were delicious. Everything was sparkling clean with plenty of pillows, blankets and bath towels stocked in closets. Kitchen was stocked with brand new pots pans and anything you'd need. WiFi worked really well. We saw the sun rise each morning and the moon rise each night. The deck off the kitchen/living area is amazing. Thanks, Lee for the great place and hospitality. Many family memories were made! We also loved the location, with the short drive to Suttons Bay and TC.
