Rural France Holiday

Stayed earlier this year and the hosts were just as good as the first time. They emailed us on the day to say the rental was ready or us, this was ahead of the scheduled time so it was a bonus. Its a great place to stay for exploring the area. Welcome pack in the fridge (wine and beer).

Villeneuve-de-Duras

We had a relaxing holiday at this Gite which is located on the edge of the small town overlooking countryside. The Gite is well equipped and has an excellent pool. There are lovely walks around the local villages, fields and woods. Our hosts were on hand to help if required.

Perfect family holiday

Stayed for a week in August. The property was wonderful and had everything we needed, even the little things thought of. The pool was an absolute highlight and the young children would have been happy all day there. The property feels very private and is not overlooked so we felt comfortable at all times. Our host Claude was lovely, there to offer help but gave us our privacy. She even dropped some fresh fruit from the trees for us during the week. This was a fabulous stay, and located close to many attractions for the kids and adults alike. A fabulous holiday

What a fabulous find! An incredibly warm, friendly welcome. The Gite had everything you could possibly need (and more) Honeysuckle filled the air around the pool and garden. The rolling hills, stunning views, and the birdsong made for a perfect relaxing stay. We recommend the Côté du Duras ! Couldn’t have asked for better hosts. We will be returning!

Perfect family retreat

Everything we needed as a family of 5. Location was ideal. So peaceful yet only 5 mins walk from local bakery in one direction and ten mins drive into duras in other. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Pool is amazing! House is well equipped. No oven but there is a bbq and microwave so not essential.. we ate at the local evening markets / restaurants fairly frequently. In easy reach of many villages & castles, canoeing, tree top zip lines and lakes. Will return!

Beautiful gite, fantastic location, peaceful and perfect

We have been staying in France as a family for several years and this is our favourite property so far! It is perfectly located if you just want a quiet, rural gite as a family, but there is LOADS to do nearby. The pool is absolutely beautiful (and can be seen from the little patio and the house), and the house itself is just lovely, with all the little things you need to make your stay easier and more comfortable (clingfilm, salt & pepper, Nespresso machine!!). We visited as a family with 3 children (aged 3,6 and 8) and found things to do every day - from the recently-opened 'Go Ape' equivalent, to Duras Castle, the local markets, and the waterpark at Agen. We really did love this spot and will genuinely be looking to come back next year. Orianne's parents made us feel very welcome and I wish we'd walked up to the prune farm and vineyard on a day other than the weekend to see it working properly :-). Séjour magnifique, agréable et reposant. Nous avons pue savourer des moments près de la piscine. La région et ses alentours étaient magnifiques. Très belle région. De plus, nous avons pue goûter de très bonne prunes grâce aux hectares d'arbres prunier qui nous entoure. Le propriétaire est très gentil, elle est à votre écoute pour toute demande.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, abseits der Hauptstrasse, bietet draußen im Sommer ausreichend Schattenplätze und hat einen schönen großen Pool, in dem es sich bei Hitze wunderbar abkühlen lässt. Das Haus ist für 4 Personen groß, verfügt über eine gute Ausstattung. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich! Als Standort zum Erkunden des Gebiets um Bergerac können wir es nur empfehlen!

Bonjour, La climatisation n’a jamais été demandée à ce jour par nos vacanciers, mais effectivement cela devient peut être nécessaire. Vous êtes arrivés pendant une période de canicule exceptionnelle. Malgré les ventilateurs et rafraichisseurs mis à disposition, la chaleur a fini par pénétrer dans le logement. Idéal pour un séjour parfait!

Maison très propre et fonctionnelle avec de grandes chambres. Les murs en pierre sont appréciés aussi bien pour le cachet que cela procure mais aussi pour le frais dans la maison. La piscine est très agréable et sécurisée. Claude et Gérard, tout en étant discrets, sont aux petits soins et toujours inquiets du bon déroulement du séjour. Maison idéale pour des vacances au calme !

Un très bon accueil et aux petits soins pour nous. Le gite et la piscine ont été lieu de repos et de détente avec mes 2 enfants. Quelle joie de voir mes enfants s amuser dans l eau . Très bonne location, tout y est, ça correspond parfaitement aux photos et à l’annonce. Les propriétaires sont adorables, ils ne sont pas loin dans le village mais d’une discrétion absolue… si on a besoin de quoi ce soit ils répondent présent très rapidement.
