The Barracks are located just a few minutes away from some of the best cafes, bars and venues in Wellington, not to mention the Basin Reserve and Oriental Beach. It faces right out on to our wonderful Pukeahu War Memorial Park, so wander around and soak up the history and atmosphere of this part of the city. Public transport stops just outside our doors, making for easy getting around town. The Barracks has been lovingly renovated and seismically upgraded to provide comfort and easy living for your stay. Make yourself at home and enjoy some of the things which make Wellington such an exciting destination.

We were traveling for a month in NZ with a group of friends. Everyone agreed that this place was our favorite for the whole trip. It's such a unique and beautiful main house with old out buildings. It felt like we're staying in a modernized museum! It is walking distance from everything - restaurants, grocery stores, the water front and Te Papa Museum. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We opted to do take out and eat at home so we could have even more time there. The property manager was also very responsive and patient when one of our friends locked himself out. :) Overall 5 stars and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We travelled from out of town, incredible house for 7 ladies to stay. We felt like queens, walking distance to CBD which was perfect for our brunch, activities and evening drinks at the local eateries. Highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back with family.
