Close to nature and the city, this mid sized, architecturally-designed home was built in 2020 to the very high Passive Haus insulation standard. Our home maintains an effortless 20'C inside year round with mechanical heat-exchange ventilation system, triple-glazed UPVC Windows and doors. The house is spread over 4 half-flight levels with all-day sun and several different zones to relax and soak up the sunshine, peace and quiet. Each window looks out over the lush, green Aro Valley where you will see and hear the local Tui, Kaka, Kereru, Piwakawaka and Ruru. The kitchen is fully equiped with gas hobs and electric oven, large double-door fridge and freezer. There is a multi-room wireless hifi sound system and wireless internet and in the lounge a large smart tv and even an upright piano which you are welcome to play. "Only fingers on the keyboard" is what I tell my children. There is one off-street car park for your use but the parking in the street is free if you have more than one vehicle. Despite the serene setting we are very close to the city with only a short walk up the steps to shops in Kelburn, the Botanic Gardens and the Cable car which takes you to Lambton Quay. Down the road is a short walk to Aro and Cuba Streets. It's only 15 minutes from the airport (off-peak) and there are MTB tracks all around. We are friends with our lovely neighbours on all sides, so please treat them with kindness and they will be there to help if you need anything.
