Great location and great view of the lake! However furniture was dated and some stains on the couches and outdoor furniture. Overall a cute property but needs some work.
The view and location are excellent. The cottage furniture etc are well worn. The lake is beautiful but there are no steps to enter the water. And the deck needs repair in some spots which can be a hazard.
The cottage was just like the photos: clean with a beautiful view, easy access to the water for my kayak, and such gorgeous sunrises. I highly recommend it.
The stay was great overall. The view was the highlight—really beautiful and exactly as shown in the photos. It made the whole experience more relaxing and enjoyable. The place itself was clean and comfortable, and everything was well organized. The host was responsive and helpful, which made check-in and communication easy.

Really nice place with a beautiful view of Georgian bay.
This cabin was the perfect stay for our friends! The cabin was truly so cozy, and the view of the water is so dreamy and absolutely stunning. The host was quick to respond to the questions we had and very helpful. My friends and I are still talking about this cabin and how much we loved it. The only thing I will add is that the ladder to the loft beds is a bit precarious, but the loft sleeping arrangement was still great. Highly recommend staying here!
My friends and I had an absolutely amazing time at "The Blue Loon"!The cabin itself was absolutely stunning and we couldn't stop ourselves from being in awe of it's construction. The views were great and everything was ready for us to settle in.William made sure to answer all of our questions quickly, and offered great suggestions for things to do around the area. Truly a great host and we'd definitely come back.Overall, a great weekend in a great home!
The cabin provides a quiet retreat that I would highly recommend for families looking to escape the noise and busyness of daily city life. Although it accommodates up to eight people, it feels most comfortable for one or two families. Amenities include a grilling area and a spot for a bonfire, which enhance the overall experience. The location is pleasantly secluded—not completely isolated, yet distant enough that you rarely notice neighbors. Visiting during weekdays would likely offer the most peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Amenities and maintenance details. The house is lovely and cozy, but some comfort and cleanliness aspects could be improved, such as worn mattress and pillows, linens not properly stored, and rugs that need better upkeep. Addressing these would greatly enhance the guest experience.
Cabin has a beautiful view of the bay. Cabin was cozy. A little outdated with some of the furniture. Very open when sleeping. Loft has an extremely steep ladder. Lots of supplies like toilet paper and paper towel. Some fun outdoor activities, just a little disorganized. Needs more storage for food and a variety of dishware, like bigger bowls and cookware. Overall an average stay.

The water's edge being immediately off the deck along with the big picture windows was magnificent. We certainly made the effort to awaken to watch the sunrise each day. The swing between the cedars looking out over the view was also a highlight. The surrounding trees and shrubs provided excellent privacy. The cottage was set up with all the needed items to cook pretty much anything you wanted - which included an exceptionally clean BBQ too! Our stay was a perfect couple of days 'out of time' where we didn't need to go anywhere else once we landed there. The sounds of the waves being a constant soothing symphony throughout the entire stay. The area was quiet, quite possibly due to the "busy" summer season being over. But that was exactly what we needed! Thank you, Alex, for such a lovely space, and your very responsive messaging when we did reach out to you.
