Beautiful Sunsets, crystal clear water, 3 bedroom chalet on Georgian Bay with 3 piece bath. 15 mins from downtown Owen Sound for shopping etc. Hardwood floors throughout so u don't have to be afraid to wear your shoes in the cottage. What a cottage should be warm and inviting. Master bedroom on 2nd floor overlooks Georgian Bay with Queen Bed. Second bedroom includes Queen bed on main floor . Third bedroom upstairs has bunk beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Features 42 LED TV and dvd player, satellite , gas BBQ, canoe, stand up paddle board, kayak, swing set, foosball. Stone shore with gradual slope into bay. Sand area at beach, private and quiet. Walking Trails. Cottage DOES NOT have wifi on purpose so you have to go "old school" and talk to people. Due to geography of land, cell phone service is limited. Call anytime. 1 Family only. Pets are welcome if looked after. No dangerous wildlife such as bears or rattlesnakes. During the months of June 15th on, July and August minimum 1week rental. Cottage available until October and spring rental begins beginning of June. Closed from October to June. COTTAGE IS NOT WINTERIZED

Great weekend family

My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing vacation at this cottage. It was clean, quiet and best of all, came well stocked with toys to keep our toddler happy. Perfect place for a family with small children.

Beautiful family vacation spot!

Memorable Family Getaway

Incredible property with fantastic views of the sunset. Every detail considered in the layout and amenities. Location is remote enough to feel like a getaway, but also offers lots of reasonable options for daily outings- waterfalls, conservation sites, winery, movies, restaurants, etc. Our family had a fantastic vacation. Thank you!

We stayed for 3 nights in early sept 2016. The property itself is clean, equipped with kitchen items and really comfortable. The location couldn't be more perfect, own private beach & garden, the lake is lovely to swim in and the area is peaceful. Just what we wanted. The owner is available for questions/queries during your stay. Would definately recommend and would definately stay again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Brads Cottage is located right on Georgian Bay and it was exactly what I needed. The place was clean, well-kept, and had everything—full kitchen, comfy beds, even a fire pit out back. Full water sports equipments.The view of the bay was unreal. Woke up to calm water and ended the day with killer sunsets. We spent most of the sunny days outside—kayaking, paddleboarding, even got a few games of beach volleyball in. It’s the kind of spot where you can chill hard or stay active, depending on your mood. Will definitely be going back.Great swimming water.

Georgian Bay cottage

This Cottage is very comfortable, clean and has all the amenities you might need. The kitchen is well supplied with a large fridge and excellent stove. The beds are comfortable and heaters in each room meant warmth when needed. The view is incredible and the atmosphere peaceful. As seniors we enjoyed our stay very much and will hope to visit again. The host is extremely helpful and friendly if you need him for anything.

Ideal for family with young kids

Cottage was very clean, and stocked with all the supplies required. Lots of toys available for our little ones (aged 2.5 and 5). The swings and sand toys were a big hit as well as the play kitchen and bunk beds. Great family friendly getaway. Would return again.

The perfect cottage for us.

This is a very nice well maintained cottage just north of Owen Sound. It is very private and has a good flat rock beach for swimming. (bring water shoes) The cottage has two main bedrooms with good quality queen beds plus a kids room with bunk beds. It is well equipped with good furniture and appliances as well as satellite TV. The very large deck is great for outdoor dining and relaxing. On very hot days the deck is a great spot because it is protected from the sun by some large trees.. If you want sun there is a fire pit area by the waterfront which is also a great place to view the sunsets. There are many water toys for both adults and kids to play with.. We plan to come back again.

Fantastic Family Cottage

This cottage was the perfect spot for my husband, two year old and in-laws. We had a great week away, watched the sunset and had campfires almost every night. The owners have truly thought of everything for a family with children. My son played with the trucks in the sand all morning, every morning. The cottage was well appointed and clean and had everything you need.

Simply lovely!

We had a great week with our daughter, son in law and grandchildren. The place is lovely and lots of care has gone into the cottage. Sunsets are spectacular and the fire pit area is comfy and inviting. The sandpit was well used by the kids. We lacked for nothing. The deck is fantastic. Beautiful views.

A Slice Of Heaven

We booked this cottage week in September 2020...almost a year in advance. We haven't done this before so we weren't sure what to expect. Now that it's over and we're back to the daily grind, it's hard to put into words how happy we all were with the entire cottage experience!! Brad Locking is amazing and has thought of everything to make the cottage guests feel comfortable and enjoy their time there. He's very nice and made himself available if necessary. The cottage wants for nothing. It's VERY clean and comfortable!! We went swimming every day in beautiful Georgian Bay (very clean, clear water) using a variety of water crafts supplied...kayak, canoe, paddle-boards, life-preservers, pool noodles etc. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with modern conveniences. The furniture was comfortable. The grounds well taken care of and landscaped nicely. I could go on on on!! I would not hesitate to rent this cottage again and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others!! What a great introduction to cottage life!!!! Brad & Craig and David & Sue

Perfect family vacation

We have been to many cottages over the years and this was hands down the best one. Brad was so friendly and very easy to get in touch with. The cottage is stunning and clean clean clean! I was very impressed. It has everything you need inside and out. Lots of toys for big and small. We enjoyed evening fires by the water and the hammock. The water is crystal clear and beautiful for any water activity. Already booked our next stay!

Amazing week away!

My husband and I, along with our 3 year old and 7 month old stayed at Brad's cottage for a week and we absolutely loved it. First off, the view of Georgian Bay is just spectacular. The water is several beautiful shades of blue and you can't help but start to relax as soon as you arrive. There are lots of great outdoor toys for kids, our son entertained himself for hours in the sand pile!The cottage itself is well equipped including things for the baby (gates, booster seat, high chair and pack and play). The beds were comfortable and the appliances were new. Owen Sound is a quick drive away for anything you need which is really convenient. The cottage is situated in a great location and is nice and quiet. Brad is a fantastic host, very communicative and accommodating. He takes a lot of pride in his family cottage and it shows. We would recommend staying at Brad's cottage and we hope to be back again for another great week (or two)!

Sunsets & Relaxation

This cottage not only has amazing sunsets but views and sounds of the bay that will put all your stresses behind you. We stayed here for a week in June with our two girls both under three. The host indicated that the cottage has pretty much everything you need and did not disappoint. As a mom typically does I over packed just in case, but this time I didn’t need to. There was books, toys, colouring, sand toys, water shoes, lifejackets etc for the kids, everything they needed to keep them entertained. For adults it was the same, kayak, canoe, paddle board, wind surfer, hammock and more. There are two cottages on either side but private (they have put up two privacy sections and have planted trees) we never once felt an issue with privacy. The road that the cottage is on is very private and we found ourselves going for daily walks. Our stay was just what we needed after being in lockdown from covid for so long. Our eldest daughter is already talking about going back next year. The hosts are amazing and are in contact with you right away if you have any questions etc. I highly recommend staying here.

Lovely stay in early June

We had a wonderful time at the Locking Cottage! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Our kids had a blast in the bunk room. The view is beautiful, and the private hammock area was a favourite spot. Although the water was cold (early June), our kids were in the water and had fun collecting rocks. As someone mentioned it is very rocky, so water shoes are a must. Host was very responsive and helpful when we had questions for him. When bringing your linens, don't forget things like wash cloths, hand towels, dish cloths, etc. There are no linens aside from pillows at the cottage. We also brought toilet paper and paper towel - there was some provided but we used up what was there before our week was up. We would love to return again!!!

A lovely cottage right on the lake. It’s a perfect base to explore the Bruce, or just relax. Brad the owner was extremely helpful with suggestions for places to go off the beaten track.

Gorgeous Lake retreat

The cottage was a great oasis and lots of wonderful water equipment for teens to keep occupied on the water. The water itself was amazing! The only drawback was that the pictures on the listing do not make it clear that there are neighbors quite close by, so that the location had limited privacy.
