I wish the description stated that this house is currently for sale and there may be real estate showings scheduled during your stay. We stayed 4 nights over a holiday weekend and were notified less than 24 hours before that there was a real estate showing in the morning. Knowing this upfront before booking would have been more transparent, and I may still have chosen to book. The house is conveniently located just east of downtown Pembroke. The kitchen is nicely updated. The couches are comfortable. The bedroom downstairs is quite small, as is the only bathroom located upstairs. The shower would be a tight fit for a taller person. The washer and dryer are located in the basement and the dryer needs some service as it takes several cycles to fully dry everything.

We are a couple that love old houses and want to share them with others. We are a military family been in the area for about 13 years. We have two kids and a dog. We live about 20 min down the road.

Why they chose this property

We picked this area because it is central to a lot of shops and amenities, close proximity to the Quebec border and the Algonquin Trail which is good for snowmobiles and ATV’ers

What makes this property unique

The property is nestled beside Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre which continues with the old heritage feel of the property. With the large back yard it gives a quiet oasis.
