We fished a lot of pikes. The boating equipment was really nice to have. It really feels like we're on a boat, when we're looking through the kitchen and living room windows. The neighbors had a really friendly cat. We also enjoyed the books and also the fishing information on the available lake map.
The cottage location can't be beat especially during this summer's heatwave. The cottage is located right off of a picturesque, small lake that is clean and quiet. It has an enclosed mesh deck to keep the mosquitos away which is a life-saver anywhere in cottage country. The parking was fine as we only had the one vehicle but it could easily handle a second car or small trailer. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy, and if you're into fishing there's plenty of that too. We appreciated the paddle boat and kayaks which we used a number of times, but there is also a paddle board there too, for the more capable. If I had to quibble, the lack of a mirror in the bathroom and privacy curtain on the window was an inconvenience; I hope the proprietors will fix for future visitors. Over-all we really enjoyed this cottage for the three nights we were there and would book again.
It was a beautiful cabin, everything you could need for an enjoyable stay, the water and kayaks/ paddle boat were fantastic. We would love to stay there again. The sunsets were gorgeous from the Sun porch.
Overall, our stay was fine. Need a new mattress in second room double bed. My sister slept on springs. Ax left for splitting wood, thank you but Ax needs to be replaced, the wood handle is splitting and my brother in law got a big gash on his hand and he knows how to handle an ax. Did not expect 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people. Make sure to pick up toilet paper, paper towels and ice. No tray to make ice either. Paddleboat has a giant gash in the hull that is “fixed” with electrical tape. Could not use. Zero outdoor furniture. Some Adirondack chairs around the fire pit would be a nice touch rather than having to tote our own camping chairs. Overall, place is quite dated and in need of a little TLC. Sunsets were amazing, the lake is beautiful, quiet.
The cottage was a very quaint spot, was a quiet lake when we were there. Was perfect spot my husband was off work and I was working remotely so was able to work and him go for paddles and walks. Sunsets are something in a fairytale.
We really enjoyed our stay here , Everything We need was there, the host was really responsive. We are so Happy to find this place. We are definitely coming back here.

Very quaint cabin. Cozy vibe with a sizeable kitchen, making it easy to cook meals in. The lake was gorgeous, especially at sunset. Shallow water was great for some of us to go fishing in waders. Backyard was a perfect size to sit out or play games. Beds were a bit older and less comfortable than expected but not really an issue. Overall, we had a great weekend and would gladly stay here again.
The Cottage was great. Beach and beautiful sunsets right in front of the cottage. Private beach as well. The cottage was great. We will definitely hoping to go back next year for longer.
Cottage is a little outdated but the location and the view is so beautiful. Kayaking and peddle boat rides were so peaceful. Unfortunately when we were there, a fire ban was in effect. There were 4k and bluray dvd movies to watch, however the dvd player was not compatible. Thankfully we brought some of our own entertainment.
It’s just an unpretentious thoroughly relaxing cottage with all the cottage niceties and spectacular sunsets. The hostess is approachable and true to her word in every description of the property.
Thanks for the memories.
Loved this cottage. The lake is beautiful, water is nice enough for swimming and we had lots of fishing , kayaking and paddle board fun! Beautiful sunsets. Cozy cottage with lots of extra blankets which we loved. Nice and clean. Love the screened in porch for morning coffee and just to sit and listen to the water. Thank you so much.

We enjoyed our time together. It was close to home, it was quiet and serine.
It is an older dated property that could use an update. Terry

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The property was clean and everything we needed was there even on cooler nights. We had to clean the side of the water a little since a lot of seeweed was there but overall it was great. We enjoyed some kayak on a super calm lake. Little town near by where we went to get evetables that we needed. All our family really enjoyed our stay and definitly will recommend this cute paradise.

Very quiet and peaceful cottage. As the name suggests, beautiful sunset and lake views. Screened in porch was nice to sit and take in the views on warmer/less windy days. Unfortunately there was a fire ban so we couldn't use the fire pit but the area to sit around it was nice. We really enjoyed the peddle boat. A tad disappointed there was no dock to use as pictured but not a deal breaker.
Unfortunately the bedroom doors wouldnt close at all and the bathroom door was hard to open/close.
Overall we had a great stay. The owner was easy to communicate with to turn the fireplace on and very kind.
Cottage was everything we hoped for. Our own private beach, paddle boat, board and kayaks all in great condition.Beautiful lake. Nice campfire in the evening. Kitchen spacious. We had our 3 grandchildren. We all enjoyed the fishing, swimming and boating.Beautiful sunrise/sunsets.Only thing missing were outdoor lawn chairs. We had brought 2 but there were none there. Nice chairs on the screened in porch. Maybe we could have taken them out but we didn’t want to ruin them.Great stay. We would definitely return.
A cottage well equipped to make meals, enjoy sunsets in porch without worry of mosquitos, equipment for folks who enjoy water sports. However, no TV coverage, only WIFI so evenings , if not folks who enjoy doing games, watching DVDs, evenings can be boring.
Toilet usage can be a bit troublesome if a large group as takes time for removal of wastes via toilet.
Overall, for us, it met our needs.

Beautiful sunset, comfy bed, spacious living space. This is definitely granny's cottage right down to the afghans, plastic fruit, & doilies. Some of the owners shoes, etc. are left there. Well- stocked kitchen very dated but nice new, clean appliances. Cutlery drawer almost impossible to open. No dock as pictured and "beach" was not good for swimming...shallow for farther out than you can walk and full of algae. Suggest googling lake conditions before you go! Sadly, the peddle boat was too heavy to carry down to the water. Construction of cottage next door made it noisy.

We enjoyed our stay, the location is nice, and there is a large beach area. I don’t normally like to leave reviews but I was disappointed with many things about the cottage itself. It is in need of repair. None of the interior doors would stay closed and the beds were uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The sofa bed was broken and uncomfortable (which was noted in a comment a few years ago and not dealt with). By the end of our stay a cupboard door was hanging on one hinge. Also make sure to bring extra paper towels and toilet tissue as we ran out after our first day. Of note, there is only one empty water jug there, not two as was advertised. It would have been nice to have a full jug of water when we arrived so that we didn’t have to go back to town as soon as we arrived to get water.
Perfect Canadiana Cottage GetawayWe had such an incredible stay at this cottage! The private beach was the perfect spot for swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the beautiful lake views. Having kayaks and a paddle board available made it easy to get out on the water and explore, which quickly became a favorite part of our days.Nature put on a show each morning and evening. A pair of loons visited faithfully at dawn and dusk, their calls echoing across the lake. Belted kingfishers darted from the treeline, diving spectacularly into the water. And perhaps the most memorable sight was the elusive giant fish that leapt dramatically from the lake, creating huge splashes and taunting both avid fishermen and curious novices alike. When we weren’t outside, we loved gathering in the screened-in porch, the perfect spot for coffee at sunrise or winding down at night while listening to the sounds of the water. The cottage itself is everything you would hope for in a classic Canadian getaway. It is decorated with the warmth and charm of a generational family cottage, yet fully equipped with everything you could need to relax and enjoy. This truly felt like the perfect Canadiana experience. Cozy, adventurous, and full of unforgettable moments. We cannot wait to return!
First impressions were a bit disappointing because the lawn hadn't been cut and the beach was untidy with plant growth. Before long that didn't matter because the kids had a blast. We did have to contend with pieces of the dock lifting during a storm, and the screened porch getting a good soaking because the windows had to remain open. Other misadventures included a fish hook in the foot of a five-year-old, and a nasty rash from a plant when we moved the peddle boat. A few recommendations: a rake so visitors could clear away some of the algae at the water's edge, and an upgrade in internet providers, perhaps a local Whitewater one. The swing and the campfire pit were big hits!
