Great place to host a corporate retreat. Lovely big backyard, firepit, and a short walk to the river (which is gorgeous). This house had everything we needed.
This place is very beautiful. The dock is great, and the kids loved the little beach area. Hosts were very easy to communicate with. My only complaint is that the kitchen was not stocked for 30 people, we were a group of 25 and there wasn’t enough cutlery or bowls. But besides that, great stay!!
Absolutely amazing property for large gathering (25 - 30 people). Host is super attentive and friendly. Provided handyman services to help us with generator when we had a power outage due to heavy rain.Plenty of options of fun and variety of games. Clean property with stock lots of supplies.
The vacation rental was ideal for our large extended family with kids and grandkids. Very spacious, loved the large dining table and chairs for all 17 of us. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of beds and bathrooms for all. The beds mattresses are firmer we are used to so it felt hard at first, but it gave good support and took some getting used to The River and dock were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks and canoes. Did some fishing off the dock and caught some small fish, released them back into the river. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. We enjoyed the firepit as the weather was perfect our week there. Lots of games and things for the kids to do are available. Would rent again
We took our sales team here for a 3-day team offsite. The property was perfect for our group. Location was awesome and easy to access. The river was great for swimming and kayaking. Edward was incredibly accommodating. Our team had a great time!

Thank you very much! We are committed to providing the best accommodation for our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back!
We just had our small family wedding at the property. The rooms are spacious, most with washrooms and showers, lots of outdoor space for activities. We enjoyed billiard pool, darts and karaoke for indoor activities. The private beach with the paddleboat, kayaks and canoe was awesome. Our family had a wonderful time!
We enjoyed our stay here while on a work retreat. Rooms were great and the projector/meeting area was good for work discussions. We also enjoyed downtime in the great room, outdoor property, and using the entertainment amenities . Kitchen was nice and large, allowing easy prep of large meals. Our stay was interrupted by a power outage for the area due to a severe storm but the host was accommodating and dropped off supplies. The host was very flexible and accommodating with us cutting our visit short due to a prolonged power outage. We would definitely visit again!

Thank you so much for your kind review! We truly appreciate it and will continue doing our best to ensure every guest enjoys a wonderful stay at our cottage.
30 friends stayed here as our grad trip before we all move across Canada soon. The house was amazing and comfortably fit all of us. All of the common areas were very spacious which allowed us to all hangout together. Kayaks/canoes, fire pit, karaoke room, and multiple game tables provided were a hit for us as it gave many options for activities to do. The host was AMAZING at responding quickly to messages and addressing any questions or concerns that came up before, during, and after the trip. Ice machine and water cooler were mentioned in the listing which were not there however it is possible we just could not find them. They were not necessary for us but may be important to note for anyone banking on those to be at the property! Overall 10/10 experience and would 100% recommend or book this property again!

Thank you very much for your excellent review — I truly appreciate it!
The ice machine and water cooler are currently in the storage room; we’ll move them to the living room shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Beautiful large well appointed vacation home with spacious kitchen, dining and living rooms, a sunroom which became the children's hangout space, a games room with pool table and pingpong table, and decks on three sides of the house . More than adequate space for our family group, which included 21 people ranging in age from 22 month old toddlers to grandparents in their 70s. Canoes and kayaks were a welcome feature. All in all, a memorable family vacation .
Finding the cottage was a breeze, with great directions, and check-in/check-out was also very easy. The cottage is expansive, with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our extended family of 15 folks and 2 dogs. The beds themselves are very firm and might take a little getting used to, for those who prefer plush beds. If you have some older folks in your group, you’ll want to give them one of the two bedrooms on the main floor as the steps to the 2nd and ground floors can be steep. The dining table was large enough to comfortably seat all of us at mealtimes - a rare treat given our numbers. The family enjoyed spending time on the dock and small sand beach, an easy 5 minute walk from the cottage, down a gravel path. While at the river’s edge, we saw lots of wildlife including turtles, geese, herons, otters, frogs, hummingbirds, and so much more. Note: the property is adjacent to the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve, owned and managed by the Couchiching Conservancy. While there were some housekeeping things that required some attention (eg: light bulbs that needed replacing, a broken tap, etc), overall we had a great week.
