About the host
Hosted by Jess

A little about me: I’m a Navy veteran with over 12 years of service, born in the 80s, and now a proud wife and fun mum to two beautiful teenagers. Hosting is something I truly enjoy, and I love creating a welcoming space for guests to relax and feel at home.
Why they chose this property
I purchased this property after returning from a six-month deployment to the Gulf on HMAS Newcastle in 2005. The Mornington Peninsula has always held a special place for me, it’s where much of our Navy training was based, and I’ve loved watching the peninsula grow since I first experienced it back in 2003. May family and I are obsessed with the beach in summer, the Peninsular Hot Springs in the cooler months, and of course, the wineries all year round.
What makes this property unique
Our home has been a true labour of love. After long-term tenants left it in need of major repair, we poured countless trips, weekends, and plenty of blood, sweat, and tears into bringing it back to life. As a family of four, we all pitched in (even if the girls weren’t too thrilled about working through their school holidays!). After that journey, we decided to step away from the long-term rental market and open our doors to holiday guests instead. Now, we’re proud to share our new space we’ve restored with so much care.
