With a private beach and mountain views, you'll fall in love with the lake as you kayak or simply enjoy your first cup of coffee. As the days heat up, a dip in the water is never a bad idea; a private gas grill is also ready to assist in barbecuing each evening in the fresh air. Step out to the outdoor seating area for a glass of wine with friends - you'll all have plenty of space to hang out at the umbrella-covered picnic table. Spending time in the great outdoors is the major draw here, yet downtime spent indoors will be just as enjoyable with a flatscreen TV, business-class internet to support streaming on multiple devices, and plush furnishings throughout. Plus, the full kitchen features a gas range and all of the major appliances of the home for easy meal prep for lakeside snacks.

With a gorgeous view of Leavitt Bay and mountains, it will be hard to leave this private oasis, yet there is much to do nearby! When you aren't fishing, swimming, or boating, there are many country roads and trails for some biking or hiking. Bayside Haven at Lake Ossippee

The is tiny place was clean, right in the waters edge and perfect for us. Ur was myself and two teenage children. Fished off the dock, sat at the waters edge, used the fire pit for snores/ it was great!

Very peaceful this time of the year. Weather was great for late September. Have rented several places in the area and can say this was one of if not the best

Toilet was clogged and would not flush. Vacasa did not send anyone to fix. After first day I bought my own plunger. House did not smell great, a little bit like pee. Vacasa customer service is awful.

1. No workable grill. Starter no spark, No lighter until my wife stumbled on one in a drawer. Then would not light - suspect no propane and the other bottle was too light to have any propane. I’d say a new investment in a grill would help. We had planned on cooking outside! 2. No instructions on the TV or initially on the locked kayaks. We did finally locate some with the code. 3. Ice maker is broken. You get ice all frozen together. 4. Porch screen needs work. Hard to close and open. 5. Sat and Sun very noisy due to motor boat traffic. Star: House was immaculately clean.

Beautiful cottage, description a bit off

We had a great week at the cottage and the accommodations were good, yet the description on the site was a little off. It was very clean but secluded and tranquil isn't very accurate. There were plenty of boats and motor sports around the lake, which we got used to and it was fine, but certainly not quiet. If the two cottages on each side are occupied, there isn't much privacy. Again, everything was fine, but our expectations fell a bit short. Silly things I noticed were there was no toaster, plenty of ants (mentioned in past reviews, but no any buttons in sight), plenty of shower and bath towels and no games. We never got the combination to unlock the kayaks but someone on the property helped us out. We were told the propane tanks were full and by the third day, we had three empty tanks. We only used the grill twice before they were empty and didn't use the firepit at all. The management company did come the following day to replace them all. We had a great vacation and everything worked out, but not 100% what we expected.

Beautiful spot, can be noisy though

We stayed here for a quick fall getaway. Overall it was a nice stay. The property sits right on Leavitt Bay so you are surrounded by gorgeous views and easy access to the water. We enjoyed sitting outside on the provided chairs, taking in the view, and using the provided kayaks in the bay. There is a grill and picnic table outside, as well as a fire pit table. Inside, the cottage is small but cozy and was very clean. It also was decorated for fall which was a nice touch. There are two decent sized bedrooms and one bathroom that is a little cramped. There is also a small kitchen which was nice to have. One of the smoke alarms was beeping due to low battery which was replaced at our request. Our main complaint is that we encountered noisy neighbors on our first night there. They were staying in one of the adjacent properties and were playing music/talking loudly until about midnight (past the 10 pm cutoff for quiet hours). We called Vacasa support that night which wasn’t helpful as it was a main support line and not the property managers. We then spoke with two property managers the next morning who said they’d have a word with them. We can’t confirm if they did but it was definitely quieter the second night (still would’ve appreciated confirmation from property managers). This may not happen to you but the properties are close enough together that there is a decent chance of it happening. Would’ve been nice to have a little more breathing room/privacy (e.g our cottage’s fire pit was right next to theirs making privacy difficult) in between the cottages and a better system for guests to address noise issues after hours (the Vacasa phone number after 5 pm is different from the actual property managers). It’s also worth keeping in mind that the parking for our cottage was a stone’s throw away, which made checking in past dark a little challenging. There also isn’t a ton in terms of stores/restaurants in the immediate area so worth bringing some food/supplies for convenience. Would consider coming back if the privacy/customer service could be improved a bit. We really liked the setting/area and cottage itself but would like to be assured a more peaceful experience next time.

We Have Ants!

Lovely location but we would not return because the cottage was infested with ants of the tiny red and big black varieties. We purchased ant cups and placed them around the kitchen but they did nothing to deter them. We also had a problem with the volume on the TV. It was stuck on LOUD and there was nothing we could do to lower it. It would have been nice if someone had checked in with us early in our stay to make sure everything was in order but that never happened.

Slice of Heaven

Quaint little cottage. Clean and updated inside the cottage. This is one of the most peaceful places I have ever been to. I really cannot find words to express how much I enjoyed the lake experience. We watched sunset on one side of the lake and then were able to see the amazing moonlight and it’s breathtaking reflections on the water on the other side So looking forward to booking again
