We had a wonderful stay in Norway Cabin at Wilderness Inn. A small cabin with two queen size beds and fireplace. Perfect place for a wintry weekend and quick drive to Whiteface Mt.

The bathroom was very dirty, and we were not comfortable even using the shower. In addition, the front door does not lock at all, and we had to check in late due to the chalet not being ready. On the plus side, the beds were very comfy and the fireplace was a wonderful bonus. The chalet had a nice selection for tv channels. It needs some definite updating, but overall hosts did try to accommodate by offering us a free night- would recommend after renovations only.
Coming from out of state with family and pets . Needed last minute stay that was pet friendly . The location was great. Easy drive to Lake placid or other areas . Cabin was warm , clean and comfy . Communication was great . Our stay was great all around . Def recommend this for family or even a quick get away for a nice relaxing weekend .
The property was very nice. It's not very big but very comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace. I think it would be perfect for a couple or a family with small children. The renter was very user friendly. I would recommend.
The chalet was small, but clean and cute. It had everything we needed. The location was great. We spent one day at Ausable Chasm, which was not that far away. We spent the next day at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, also not too far away. And we drove to the top of Whiteface and spent some time in Lake Placid. This location was perfect for all of this. Host was great and check in and out was super easy. We had a wonderful time!
property was very run down, restaurant in front was run down and our view from the back was a mess. the shed in front of our cottage was all weathered and falling apart. a skunk was living underneath the shed and it stunk all the time, this was in front of our porch so we couldn't sit outside. the sleeping room was very nice but shower and bathroom very dirty. we mainly stayed just to sleep and wash up in sink. the positive about this place was they accepted pets.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback. Unfortunately, the restaurant in front of the property is closed and not a part of the cabins. As soon as you mentioned the shed, it was repaired. Also, unfortunately the smell of skunk was investigated, and it is actually coming from the neighbors' recreational plants, we have brought this to their attention, and they have been moved farther from the property line. For future reference, it is always best to use the 24/7 phone number that was provided to report any issues, and they can be resolved in real time opposed to after checking out. Thank you for your stay and for your feedback.
Yann and Robert were great hosts, Yann was in constant contact with me to make sure I had the information I needed to get there, check-in, have access to Wi-Fi, etc. She even checked in with me to make sure everything was good. The cabin was a good size, I appreciated having a small fridge and microwave handy, they even had a Keurig and k-cups in the room. The property is gorgeous and has communal campfire areas, and the rooms have fireplaces as well. The location is good overall, it's a small distance from the town of lake placid but it was nice to be that small distance also it's much quieter. They are also dog-friendly which is a huge plus. The only thing I was not a fan of was the carpet in the bathroom, I'd much prefer hard floors by the shower. But overall great and will visit again.
Easy check in. Communication great, comfy beds for a change over other hotels etc., good location to food, hiking & sightseeing. I don't fill out personal info so just out other in who stayed.
The first thing we noticed was how neat and clean the cabin was and Michele stoped by and asked if we needed anything and was so pleasant. The only real disapointment was the mattress were out dated and we were told new ones are on site waiting for new frames. We would definetly consider returning in the future.
