The Space:

Karapiti Lodge is a grand rural retreat in Ngakuru, nestled between two working dairy farms - a spacious, peaceful escape for extended family or a group of friends coming together away from the hustle and bustle. The open-plan living, dining and kitchen forms the heart of the home and flows out to two decks, so there's always a spot in the sun or the shade. The ground-level deck is a great outdoor entertaining area with a BBQ and outdoor furniture, and it connects through to a second living area, giving everyone room to spread out.



The five bedrooms sleep ten. The master is a spacious haven with a king bed, walk-in wardrobe and its own ensuite. Three more bedrooms sit on the ground floor, served by a separate full bathroom and a handy guest toilet by the foyer, and a fifth upstairs has a king bed, a small kitchenette and its own bathroom too. Throughout the house you'll find touches of care that make it a lovely place to gather.

On the ground floor, the master has its own ensuite, and there's a separate full bathroom on the other side of the house serving those bedrooms, plus a handy guest toilet and wash basin by the entrance foyer. Upstairs, a fourth bathroom is dedicated to the upstairs bedroom.

An open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, plus a second living area, opening to two decks with a BBQ and outdoor furniture.



- PARKING -

Plenty of off-street parking on the property.

You'll have the whole property and grounds to yourselves - all five bedrooms, the bathrooms, the open-plan and second living areas, the kitchen, and both decks with the BBQ. There's plenty of off-street parking on the property.

Karapiti Lodge sits in Ngakuru, a peaceful rural pocket south of Rotorua, nestled between two working dairy farms - proper countryside, with space and quiet. It's just 8 minutes from the Waikite Valley Thermal Pools and the Waikite Valley Golf Course, and a short drive from the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Rotorua city, with its restaurants, lakefront and attractions, is about 25 minutes away, making this a relaxed base for exploring the region's southern thermal country.



Getting Around:

You'll need your own vehicle here - Ngakuru is rural and public transport is limited, but there's plenty of off-street parking. By car, the Waikite Valley hot pools are about 8 minutes away, Wai-O-Tapu around 16, and Rotorua city roughly 25. Rotorua Airport is about 45 minutes, and Taupo Airport around an hour.



Other Things to Note:

A few things worth knowing: this is a genuine rural property set between two working dairy farms, so expect peace, space and a real country feel. You'll want your own vehicle, as it's a little way out of town. There's a second kitchenette upstairs off bedroom five, handy for a larger group. WIFI runs at around 345 Mbps.



This property has a Minut sensor in the living room that monitors noise and smoke. It never records audio - it only sends our property managers a decibel reading if noise stays above acceptable levels for a sustained period.
