Peaceful and cozy cabin in the woods just a short drive to adventure
Escape to this well-appointed cabin in the heart of Grey Highlands. Enjoy a cozy, thoughtfully designed space with modern comforts, a well equipped kitchen, and inviting living areas perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. Surrounded by peaceful scenery and close to hiking, waterfalls, skiing and charming nearby towns, this cabin offers the perfect blend of privacy and convenience, ideal for a quiet getaway. 15 minutes to Devils Glen 20 minutes to Beaver Valley 30 minutes to Blue Mountain
Our cabin has been done up to have a cozy rustic feel, with updated amenities. The cabin has two bedrooms on the main floor; the bedroom off the living room has a double bed and the main bedroom with access to the deck has a queen bed. There is a loft that is accessed by a metal spiral staircase (please watch your head, we have tried to pad it as best we can to prevent collisions!) that has two twin beds - perfect for kids.
The kitchen is simple but we have done our best to provide all the comforts of home, including a microwave, fridge, Keurig coffeemaker, Ninja Foodi air fryer oven, and a two burner induction stovetop with included pots and pans.
The 3 piece bathroom includes a standup shower.
There is also a pull-out couch that we can make up if needed (upon request).
You have access to the cabin but we ask to not go beyond and up the driveway to our personal home and other out-buildings on the property. Our neighbours are friendly, but we ask that you not go wandering through the woods and onto their property. If you need some suggestions for hiking or have any questions about our area, please feel free to ask.
Our driveway is on an incline and has an S-bend before reaching the cabin. It is recommended to have snow tires in the winter and all-wheel drive or 4x4 is best. We do our best to keep the driveway clear of snow, but it is difficult and can still be icy in some spots. There is ample parking beside the cabin for 2-4 vehicles.
Please note, our home is on the same property at the back and we share a driveway with the cabin to access our house that passes beside the cabin. We have also included photos that show you can see our house from the cabin and vice-versa, however we respect your privacy and will not be intruding on your peaceful stay. If you have a pet, please note that we have a dog and having pets on leash while outside will ensure no negative incidents between our furry friends.
We hope that you enjoy your stay and take advantage of our beautiful area. We include a link to a guest book we have created with some local suggestions for food and shopping that we think would be enjoyable.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Dewell
We have lived in the area for the past 18 years and love it. We decided to host as a way to utilize the original cabin on our property, and to create a unique space for our children and grandchildren to enjoy in the future.
Why they chose this property
We chose Grey Highlands because of it's beauty and peacefulness. We are still close to many towns for amenities, but far enough away to have our own little oasis.
What makes this property unique
Our property is located on a high feature on our road and provides a view of Feversham to the West in the wintertime. With our home tucked off the road, it's a perfect place for our children to roam free and create adventures. Our cabin adds to the uniqueness, as it was built in the 1970's and was one of the original buildings on our road.
