We had a great time at this property. We had a bunch of friends came to down to celebrate our anniversary. The location and views are fantastic, the house is amazing, and the owner was easy to reach and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again with a large group.
Amazing house and property. Pictures can’t do it justice but take my word for it this place is worth every penny! Beautiful home, beautiful views and beautiful area! Look forward to returning! Great owner and host!
The house is in a beautiful location right on Shadow Lake. The house comfortably accommodated our whole family (16 of all ages) and better equipped than any of the VRBO's we've experienced. It made for a great family reunion.
This was the perfect property for our family. It is spacious and comfortable with unbelievable views and amenities. The kayaks were a blast, and we spent the entire weekend on the patios. Location is convenient to town. We loved it!
The property information helped a lot, but the host was also responsive when we had questions.
We celebrated 4 family members who all have b’days in August. The house was so perfect for our whole group, from babies to oldsters. Amazing experience!
Our friends & family enjoyed our stay very much! What a beautiful home, & incredible scenery! The beds & amenities were top-notch! The high-end kitchen allowed us to make meals together & we loved the large dining table so we could all sit & enjoy games & meals together. The lower level set up with theatre room & separate family room gave us so much space to spread out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & hope to be back again!
This home is beautifully appointed, has an extremely well stocked kitchen and lots of water sports equipment. Our large family group had plenty of room, with different areas to spread out. We especially enjoyed the home theater and the outdoor hot tub. Will easily accommodate large groups. The views from the many outdoor spaces were spectacular! Hope to return.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house on Grand Lake. We had a large family that this house accommodated us all well. The owner was very accessible if we had a question or concern. We enjoyed all the aspects this property provided: theater room, modern large kitchen and bathrooms, bedding, towels, amenities, life preservers, kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, outdoor tables, chairs—everything to make our trip resort like with incredible views. We were celebrating a very special occasion and it met our expectations and more. Priceless trip!!
Beautiful home with excellent finishes all around. Great for a large family vacation. All appliances and amenities were first class. Perfect location. Couldn’t ask for a better views, scenery or overall home decor.
We expected to be able to use a dock on the property for our boat, not the case. Had to pull the boat out each night.

Thanks for the nice review. For future renters reference we have since added 16 feet of additional dock allowing boats that have a deeper draft dock for the night.
All I can say is WOW! We basically had a family reunion with 16 people from two different states, and this property was perfect. With a full house, there was plenty of space and it never felt like we were on top of each other. There are kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles, dock access, yard games, a theater room... this house has it ALL. Larry was a wonderful host and was available via text or phone call to help us if we had any questions. There is a lot of technology in the house, so I recommend reading through the house guide upon arrival. The ability to play music throughout the entire house was a special plus!! We will definitely look to do our next large family reunion back here if possible!!
Our stay at this vacation rental was truly exceptional. The property, with its breathtaking scenery, felt like we had discovered paradise. From the very beginning, the hospitality shown by Larry was beyond expectations. Every detail was meticulously planned, ensuring that our visit was an unforgettable getaway. This property has everything you can possibly imagine. If it wasn’t for the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park, there really was no reason to leave the property. The combination of the stunning property and Larry’s exceptional hospitality made it more than just a vacation — it was an experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this location to anyone in search of an unforgettable retreat. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Thank you for your kind review. We know our home represents a significant investment for our future guests and reviews help them feel more confident in selecting our home.
This was the perfect place for us to have our wedding ceremony on the patio, have a private chef make us a delicious celebration dinner, and have all thirteen of us stay & play. The house is beautiful and spacious and the host was very communicative and quick to respond when we had a question.
We enjoyed sightseeing in the park, visiting Grand Lake, taking the paddle boards out on the lake, having a morning cup of coffee on the deck, and soaking in the hot tub. The location is just a few miles from Grand Lake and the entry to RMNP. Note that the main rooms of the house are on the second floor and each level is connected by stairs.
This house will always have a special place in our lives and we are grateful to have the opportunity to stay here.
Our extended family had a fabulous vacation ... the perfect location to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The house itself was amazing (although a bit more "tech" than we had expected), incredibly designed and constructed. The location was perfect ... right on the lake with stunning views of the lake and mountains. We especially enjoyed early morning coffee on the deck watching the sunrise as more and more people came out. It was great being so close to the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance that easily allowed us to enter before 9:00am when the timed entry process started. We also enjoyed the town of Grand Lake on short excursions with the kids for the park, ice cream, and shopping. This house "had it all" ... and is in our plans for a return trip.
We had an absolutely fabulous time here! We have rented in the area every summer for over 20 years. This home was one of the best that we have stayed in! There are many living areas inside and outside to spread out in and still have privacy. The owners were incredible to work with and very communicative. The home is absolutely fabulous, and you couldn't wish for more. It is the best stocked home we have found, with everything that you would expect to find in your own home. The 'toy garage' was the highlight of the trip, providing EVERYTHING that we needed to enjoy the lake! Flowers and gift baskets were a wonderful surprise when we entered to make us even more welcome. Thank you Larry for a great trip and place to stay!

Thanks for the nice review! Since you were our first renters for this home we’re glad it was stocked well. We tried to have everything we would want in a house when we rent. Hope to see you come back next year
Theater didn’t work all the time. Only A/C in bunk rooms and theater. We thought it was through the whole house. It was 82 degrees or so in the house when we arrived. The size of the house worked out great for our family reunion we enjoyed our stay! The availability of lake access for our boat and the water toys that were available to use at the house were great gave us the opportunity to try new things. The kitchen was also very nice and there was plenty of refrigerator space. I didn’t recall in the add that you had to pre pay for the hot tub but we know that now for if we rent again in the future. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to rent this place again for our family reunion in the future.

It’s unfortunate you didn’t call or reach out about the theater or the hot tub. The theater could have been fixed remotely had I known. A prior renter had changed around some of the cables without asking. The hot tub was serviced before you arrived in case you decided you wanted to use it. The fee is there as we try to keep the cleaning costs within reason and not all renters use it. We do explain AC is only available in those two areas. Most houses in the mountains don’t have central AC. We put it in the theater because of the heat generated by a large number of people and no windows. The bunk room gets warmer because it’s on
the third floor. We find opening the windows at night and using the ceiling fans cools off the house quickly
This is an amazing place! All 16 of us agreed it was the best VRBO we have ever stayed. Most of my family came from New York area, with ages that ranged from 80 to 7. Perfect, I mean Perfect for family reunions. It was much better to have everyone in one house than trying to rent separate houses in the area. We really bonded as a family.
Went into Grand Lake town a few times to see the shops, have lunch one time, and to pick up a take out order for dinner. The rest of our time was spent in this impressive, FULLY equiped, high-tech, jaw-dropping home! The rooms were beautifully decorated yet cozy (everyone found a peaceful place to relax) and there was enough space and amentities to meet everyone's needs.
We kayaked and paddle boarded (so beautiful and peaceful), swam, hiked, sat around a fire, had early morining coffee as we woke up to a smooth glass lake, made family meals, played board games, watched a movie in the theater, and the kids loved horse back riding. It's places like this that brings families together to makes memories.
Do not think twice about renting this home!! We will be back for sure!
My family has been going to Grand Lake for over two decades. This house was the best we've ever stayed-- perfect place for multiple families or multi generational family gathering.
The house is so well thought out and luxuriously appointed. First, there are enough beds for everyone. Every bed has a firm mattress and soft sheets. With black-out curtains you could stay in bed and rest all day.
There is room for everyone. There is a wonderful main floor living room-- a large couch that you will sink into and not want to move, a real fire place and a TV that has every streaming app and channel you could need. The room has a stunning view of Shadow Mountain Lake with Baldy sitting over it ready to be painted in sunset colors. The terrace off the living room almost extends over the water so you feel like you are on the lake. There is a table out there that fits over 10 where we took all our meals, enjoying the view and the breeze.
In the basement is another sitting room with a TV and a fire place. We had room for the adults to be on one level and the kids to have their own space.
The kitchen is the centerpiece of the house. A chef's dream-- top line appliances, sharp knives and counter tops for miles. It, too, has windows that look out and capture the view.
There is a whole garage with SUPs, kayaks, wet suits to go play in the water.
If it rains, there's a movie room and every board game you played as a child.
This place is worth every cent

Thank you for the great review! I worry people will think I paid you to write this :) it is so great to share our home with families that enjoy it like we have.
Our family had a fantastic time staying in this beautiful, very well-equipped home. The view overlooking the lake was amazing to wake up to. The weather cooperated all week with a double rainbow over the lake the first evening and a moose swimming across to the shore next-door the second day. The toy garage was stocked even better than we anticipated, with plenty of life jackets, kayaks, and SUP's for all to enjoy, and our grandchildren took full advantage, spending hours on the water each day. With lots of room to spread out, our children, who needed to, were able to work while there. The theatre room was a hit as well. A very large and well appointed kitchen was a plus. On the down side, the air mattress on the pullout loveseat had a leak, which we found to be taped. Luckily we had an air mattress with us to put on top to get by. We found the extensive amount of electronics to be baffling at times. And the bathroom with the pocket door would unlock and open while we brushed our teeth. At one time it opened while a daughter was half dressed, startling both her and our grandson in the next room. Hopefully this can be addressed. There were cameras throughout the home, as well as on the ipads. My son-in-law covered them up during our stay to protect our privacy. All of the positives far outweigh any issues we had. Even this grandmother got out on the lake in a kayak. Many wonderful memories were made.
What an incredible trip it was! Larry was extremely attentive and accommodating for any requests/help we needed. The hot tub wasn't working when we arrived which was a bummer but Larry was able to schedule someone to come in the next day, and by day 3 we were able to use it again. The space is massive and no detail in tech was forgotten. The only negative aspect of the trip was the cleanliness of the house upon arrival, I would chalk that up to maybe just a one time bad job by the cleaners but with the size of the house + luxury aspect a thorough cleaning is expected (green residue along the hot tub that we cleaned, the shower drains if not cleaned before are truly gross to do yourself, residual food/etc on the floor from what I assume to be children prior). Other than that, so many positives, the view is better than the pictures, and all the amenities you could ever need are at your disposal (even speakers playing around the campfire outside! What a wonderful touch.)
It's a great space for events, and we left wanting to come back. If you love water sports (kayaking, sups, fishing) they have the garage more than stocked, this is the place for you. You're lucky to stay here, and again we thank larry and his wife for all the support throughout the weekend. There were so many pros that outweighed the few negatives.
Also, larry recommended an at home chef, Amber, who we had do a dinner and brunch for us. Her service was incredible, the food even better, and the price is right!
Just do it! You won't regret it.
The views are second to none at this lake front property. The interiors are warm and inviting and you will absolutely enjoy cooking in this kitchen! We hosted our families for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception and could not have chosen better people to host (thank you Larry and Connie!) and a more beautiful setting.
We fully enjoyed all the amenities - hot tub, movie theater, SUPs and kayaks.
We hope to come back and enjoy this lovely home again in the future!
Had a wonderful time, a great experience for our entire family.
