This quaint studio was absolute perfection for our visit to Scottsville. Clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
What a great place to stay! Way better than any hotel near this price, and the hosts really thought of everything. Very clean. Would definitely stay again!
Great location for us, less than 10 minutes west of Scottsville. Great communication-easy check and out. Place is small, but was nice for my husband and I Very clean. Thanks, Amy, for a wonderful stay!
We are locals but needed a place while relocating. The property was in a lovely setting, quiet and very tidy and well appointed. Lots of small details including a personalized welcome message and separate entrance. Would absolutely recommend
Wonderful property in the middle of the country but 10 minutes from town and less than an hour from Charlottesville.

Amy is a fantastic host! Great communication and extra touches that are much appreciated. The ‘apartment’ was very clean, well designed, and extremely comfortable. The area is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. Highly recommend all around!!
My son had leave from Fork Union Military Academy. Perfect location for some relaxation, nature, and getting to local restaurants and attractions. We’ll be back…
My husband and I stayed for two nights at Ghost Pine Studio while attending a family wedding at one of the nearby wineries. I chose this listing after reading the excellent reviews. It lived up to expectations. The host is very accommodating and good at communicating. I recommend!
Very nice and private, comfortable bed, wife liked the shower. Needs a counter top ice maker. Comfortable and well appointed decor. Made to feel welcome and appreciated as a guest by the host.
I came with my best friend to a consult at UVA. It was a very intense day there and coming back to Ghost Pines was like coming home. Very peaceful. Very kind hosts!!!

Oh my goodness. Marcia this is the best review I could ever get. Thank you, and please come back any time. We loved having you here.
It was just what we needed for the weekend. If you want a beautiful location on a tight budget. The pictures are accurate as the shower is tiny and there is no living room space. Bedroom and kitchen space is beautiful. My only complaint is not realizing the host controls the AC for this part of the location.
We were in town for a wedding. 2 night stay was very comfortable. Seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere but we navigated just find. The cottage is exactly as described. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch. Cute, cozy cottage.

Way way out with kitchenette
Could just be me but i did assume i was alone in a cottage but i was squeezed in between both sides and ceiling with quiet people and dogs...not a private feeling.

My husband and I stayed at Ghost Pine Studio for a quick weekend getaway. For a studio, the space was nicely laid out and had plenty of space for the two of us. It was nicely decorated, clean, and had everything we needed.
An area of opportunity is the heating/cooling and sound. We did not have control over the heat and it was very hot in the space not allowing us to sleep well. Also, it was noisy because the walls were thin and the owners lived on the premises. However, some of that is expected with a studio.
Overall, we were happy with our stay.
This was a nice little property near several wineries.

About the host
Hosted by Amy Hart
Ghost Pine is the beloved rustic country property of Eric & Amy Hart. They moved here in 2006 when Amy was battling cancer. They thought this property was the perfect place to recover in a peaceful and private setting. Over the next 2 years Amy would fight the disease and finally win, making her cancer-free for many years now. Hooray! Eric and Amy don’t have children, and rarely used the guest suite so decided in 2020 to open it up to AirBNB guests. They love to have guests in the house and love to entertain, so it is a perfect fit. Never be afraid to text us if you have questions or need something. Amy owns Dovetail Design & Cabinetry (Charlottesville VA), and has been a designer for over 20 years. Eric manages the Dovetail warehouse and has been a cabinet installer and carpenter for many years. Eric is a Broadway veteran, having starred in musicals such as Les Miserables, The Scarlet Pimpernel and more. These days he focuses on film and TV. Amy is also an award-winning filmmaker and actress. They have two adorable large Pyranees-mix dogs called Starr and Wynn. You’ll hear them but shouldn’t see them unless you take a peek into the back yard. Naturally they believe everyone who arrives is here to murder us, so expect some barking upon arrival and with loud noises. Don and Donna are Amy’s parents and they live in the west wing of the home. Don is a retired fire chief from Michigan (still volunteering with Scottsville FD and Lake Monticello FD) also works with Dovetail part-time. Donna is a retired HR professional and loves to sew. She sewed some of the things in the AirBNB such as the curtains and daybed mattress. If you need something hemmed or fixed quickly please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask! Don and Donna have two kitties Beau and Celestia and one small pup Lily.
