About this property
Villa Ibiza Resort, pool, close to the beach, sea view, for romance + relaxation
The Villa:
The house has nothing to do with the snow-white, postmodern mainstream houses that you know from high-class catalogs. The villa is a synthesis of Ibizan shoebox houses and Bauhaus. Its warm terracotta tone harmonizes pleasantly with the blue of the sky and the green of the pine trees. It is a villa for individualists who would like to continue living out their personality on vacation and do not want to submit to the dictates of hip and short-lived taste. This villa is unobtrusive, humane and avoids imposing a contemporary taste on you. She casually lets the resident go first. The house is the stage on which nature and the inhabitants play the main role.
The interior:
Only noble materials were used, which become more beautiful with age. Such as natural stone, exposed concrete, teak and leather. The design language is clear and avoids unnecessary decorative elements. There is an understated elegance and natural lightness with complete comfort.
The lighting design:
The idea is that you don't have to see the light source, just the light space it creates. According to lighting designers, the most beautiful light is created when it shines through thin rice paper and bathes the rooms in a warm, bright light without causing glare.
The bedrooms:
All bedrooms have air conditioning.
The beauty is the connection to nature; you can step outside from every room through a large glass door. The wide double beds are made of teak wood, together with the teak shelves and desks they spread their characteristic scent. Since each room has its own exclusive bathroom, you are always undisturbed in your own space.
The baths:
Deliberately puristic and functional, only natural materials such as matt sandstone, limestone and glass were used. The design is simple and practical, designer fittings from Fantini, bathtub from Philip Starck, pure design from Duravit.
The kitchen:
In the ultra-modern, open kitchen, the chef looks out over the sea while preparing his Mediterranean dishes on the large gas hob. The spacious worktops were designed by concrete designer Max Kant and we have found that guests are magically drawn to this place and like to engage the chef in conversation over a glass of wine.
The pool:
With a length of 12 meters, it not only offers space for bathing, but also for actual swimming.
The environment:
From the terrace you can look out over the bay “Es Xarcu”, a popular anchorage for our planet's celebrities. The bay has retained its original charm, and the discreetly expanded fishing hut has now become one of the island's top secret restaurants http://www.esxarcu.com Tina Onassis lives a few meters away, and film stars and celebrities from the music scene stay completely incognito At sunset their bare feet in the sand while enjoying the excellent fish “Al Horno”.
The bay “Cala Jondal” next to it is known because it is home to the now world-famous “Blue Marlin”, the hotspot for Hollywood celebrities and everyone who feels like they belong. There you can take part in the nightlife, which starts in the afternoon; see and be seen is the motto here. At the other end of the bay there are also restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy this beautiful place in a quiet way. A small sandy beach is also very suitable for children to swim.
The bay “Es Torrent” is very close, you can get there in 2 minutes. There is an excellent restaurant with top service http://www.estorrent.net. Many yacht owners anchor in the bay to dine during the day or evening. There is a personal atmosphere on the beach, you can get a massage from Iban and you can also buy jewelry and summer dresses. Snorkelers can swim to the offshore rocks and dive there. Let's see if you can spot the entrance to the underwater cave. If you like jumping off the cliff into the crystal clear sea, you have several options. If you're lucky, you'll also find a Rolex or banknotes at the bottom of the sea.
It's a 15-minute drive to Ibiza Town and you can visit the charming old town, shop, eat and meet people. All famous discos such as Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege, Space, Eden, Es Paradis, DC10, or smaller clubs such as KM5 can be reached within a quarter of an hour by taxi.

Why they chose this property
In 1992 I entered a 10,000 m2 wild forest, which I wanted to buy.
Amidst pine trees and fragrant rosemary bushes there was no way through, I could guess only small trails, which were jealously guarded by spiders. Amidst all the green something dark blue kept flashing by now and then, the sea.
I was overwhelmed by the silence, the scent of pine and rosemary, the hum of bees and the concert of crickets, the play of light and shadow. I was awe inspired by this place and its wild beauty.
Suddenly a small clearing opened, and immediately I knew that there the house would stand. My eyes flew over the canyon in which water still flowed from many decades ago from the mountains into the sea, and further over the dark blue sea up to the island of Formentera, the lighthouse sends its distant flashes of light.
I rammed bamboo sticks in the forest floor to match the contour of the house with the trees. The nature here should play the leading role; my house should be subordinate to her. That was the concept. My guest house amidst pines and rosemary.
It took years for me to build the house. At first I began to climb the pine trees to free them from old branches and fungal growth. The trees were grateful for so much unexpected attention and portrayed their individual beauty. I especially loved the pines which had fought their way amongst the others and whose trunks now, bent and crooked, narrate of the drama of their growth. There were also trunks which had gone through very little and grew straight into the sky. They inspired me less; I had to always think of timber. At first I tried to gently intervene in nature by letting young pine trees grow crooked by constricting, which is a kind of active garden design. But one could see them being compelled after a few years, because their oblique growth appeared braver than that of their wild brothers, so I regretted this approach and dropped it.

What makes this property unique
When I finally began to make the foundation and pull up the walls, I aligned myself with the sun’s position at different seasons to find the correct orientation of the house and the proportion of windows and doors. I stood inside the structure and looked out of the holes in to the terrain and the sea, and often I tore a wall again and changed the whole thing. The house grew slowly and organically, like the natives have also built since time immemorial. Thus, I kept getting more clarity time and again and found the path to what is important.
