Beautiful late 16 century structure, situated in the emblematic "Viejo San Juan", right in the heart of the old walled city founded on 1509. Next to the 500 years old San Juan Bautista Cathedral (1529) and steps from restaurants and bars.
Excellent Location Walking distance from top historical sights like the two forts, San Felipe del Morro and San Cristobal, museums, lots of dining options and great nightlife. The beach is a 2 min drive (Escambrón beach)!

Located near the beach, this apartment is in Old San Juan, a neighbourhood in San Juan. While the natural beauty of Condado Beach and Escambron Beach can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can explore Port of San Juan.
Pablo Casals Museum and Institute of Puerto Rican Culture are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and scuba diving offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and cycling nearby.
My Girl Scout troop stayed here for our 4 nights in Puerto Rico. There were 11 of us and we had plenty of space to sleep and hang out! Everything was clean and comfortable. The pool table was an added bonus… the girls loved playing during downtime. The location was perfect for exploring Old San Juan!
What an amazing place and location. Julio who met to drop off keys in the beginning was so accommodating with getting us setup! We all want to go back for the Puerto Rico views and the Apartment!10/10 already recommending people to go visit and stay there! Thanks!!
Perfect location right in Old San Juan with lots of space to spread out. Two kitchen areas and a large gathering area as well. The only downside is the noise from the restaurant below, in particular on the weekend. It lasted until midnight.
Julio was wonderful. He met us at the apartment and showed us around and gave us the history of the building. He was also very responsive to messages throughout our 3 night stay
This historic home is everything we'd hoped to experience. It was perfect for our family of twelve, and ideally located for exploring Old San Juan. We had an awesome time!
Such a nice and historic property. It was so beautiful, and near everything. We stayed with a large group and there was plenty of room. The owner was so easy to communicate with and a wonderful host.
Our family of 14 with ages ranging from 3 to 75 stayed here for a visit in Old San Juan. The location was excellent for our purposes, and the property provided plenty of space and necessities for our stay. We appreciated the personal touch at check-in, access to the restaurant below, and the interesting historical setting. We would rent here again.
We stayed here with our entire family for a post-wedding trip, and everyone loved it!! The history of the building, the balconies, the original details of the home, and it’s perfect location! Julio was very welcoming and flexible, and had great communication along the entire trip. 10/10 would book again!
Julio is outstanding. He helped me coordinate all that needed to be done. With 16 people, 4 generations, celebrating 80th birthday, Julio helped make this stay very special. Thank you Julio
This space comfortably hosted 7 adults across its many rooms. The layout was a bit confusing at first but after a few hours we felt comfortable cutting across rooms without interrupting others. Note, the space is on the older side and so don't expect all the bells and whistles. But you can't ask for a better place to stay for a weekend away inordinate san juan.
This place is in the perfect location to walk and sightsee plus it accommodated 17 people. It’s an old building so of course there were slow flowing toilets/ showers, but overall a great house. The balcony was a plus; overlooking the street and people walking around was very nice. Getting to the second floor and climbing the stairs up and down was ok too. I really enjoyed this house and would stay again.
If you want a true Old San Juan experience, this is the place to stay. The apartment is beautiful - historic with modern amenities. It is the perfect spot for 2 families with teenagers - plenty of space to spread out. It is in a great location - can walk everywhere (or simply sit on the balcony and watch everyone else walk). Julio is an excellent host - from the tour of the property to the quick responses to our questions, he made it easy. Definitely recommend this apartment - it's one of a kind!

Great Stay with a Few Things to Note
I recently stayed at Colonial Apartments in Puerto Rico and overall had a wonderful experience. The location was great, and the owner was incredibly nice and friendly. He was always quick to respond whenever we had a question or issue, which made the stay feel very well taken care of.The rooms were very clean, but they did have an older, slightly creepy look to them and could use some renovations to feel more updated and inviting. That said, they were comfortable and functional for our needs. We did have a brief issue with the water, but the owner addressed it right away and made sure it was resolved quickly. All in all, I enjoyed my time here, and with a few updates, this place could be even better.
We stayed here with family for a wedding that was across the street! Perfect location for the event and the additional sightseeing. Our age range was from 64-12 (16 of us) Everyone loved the age and history of the building, charming home details. Our group described it as a "Hogwarts vibe". While we know the home is old, the bathrooms looked a little tired and could have used a little more sprucing up. Mattresses could also use some upgrades. Pillows were good. Our stay was 3 nights, totally met our needs. Billards table a plus and the spaciousness of the home was excellent. We never felt we were crowded even with our group of 16. Our host Julio was very welcoming, flexible and provided great communication. We would book again.
We were a group of friends with kids ranging from 17 years old to 22 yrs old who visited Puerto Rico as we were participating in the Lola Challenge. This apartment was perfect for us. It is situated accross the beautiful cathedral, right in the midst of Old San Juan, and walking distance to all the historical sites. The historical building, 500+ years old, features the old colonial architecture with its beautiful wood balconies. The apartment is spacious with its old world charm, beautiful tall ceilings, wooden doors, plenty of bedrooms, sitting areas, main living room/game room, etc. We had an absolute great time. The hosts were helpful, responsive, and check in was a breeze. They were a joy!! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful apartment. The memories we made are precious!!
This house is NOT safe for family with children. 3 ac did not work got him to come out next day he fixed 2 and didn’t have part for the 3rd. Their were leaks in ceiling in 3 places which we had to put a bucket under.2 bathrooms did not work right and one shower had no shower plastic. parts of roof was coming down in the living room paint was missing in the children’s room with big pieces of paint coming off. The wood floor was lifting up and the children kept tripping.in the tiles were broken and the little ones were falling down on those as well. and there were bugs on lamps .No privacy at all.
The rooms all connect to one of the bathroom. No parking.

Hello!
So sad we could not meet your expectations. Certainly there where a lot of people, (problably 16+ )with a lot going on like air matresses sleeping in the reception area etc etc. This is a true and original colonial building. Multiple balconies, steps and old flooring could be a hazard , specially for small kids and the elderly. This was clearly explained. This week we had an unusual event of rain and on top of that, a power outage affected 3 out of the 9 a/c's we have. The tech rush to fix two of them but unfortunatly the board from the third one, was seriosly damaged. That sort of issues cant be fixed overnight. We are taking note and we will make sure all of the issues are fixed before your next visit. Once again , thanks for your feed back.
