Cabin was very nice as well as the hot tub. Coffee maker didn’t work properly and no firewood was provided for the indoor fire place. The ‘10 acres’ is quite misleading as the only supposed hiking trails go straight up a mountain. Less than an acre of useable land around the cabin. Too expensive for what it offers.
My family and I, along with our 2 dogs absolutely enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was well stocked, clean and cozy. We experienced it all: the hot tub, both hiking trails, the creek across the street, the fire pit and the front porch sitting. We even got to enjoy a little snow! It was the PERFECT get away & we will definitely come back to stay again!
5 years at this house. Love it more each year. Made it up the hiking trail (it is a hiking trail not a walking trail). Such beautiful land. bring/find a hiking stick, climb over/under some fallen trees, follow the yellow tags and you will make it to the Rope swing. Kids love it. Hope to make it again next year.
The cabin was very clean with a wraparound deck for reading or listening to the waterfall and creek. Every cabin window has a view of the beautiful, natural landscaping. There is a full-sized brand new washer and dryer, keurig and a coffee maker with filters, plenty of towels and blankets. Kitchen is stocked and we cooked several meals and used the charcoal grill. The creek across the street is calm- great for kids to explore. Internet is slow, so download whatever you need before you come. There are lots of DVDs at the cabin to choose from. We would recommend for a family or two couples.
We had a wonderful time staying at Serenity Falls! The cabin is super cute and very secluded; my favorite part of our stay was just sitting on the porch with a cold drink, reading a book and listening to the birds. The beds were comfy and the house was pretty clean. The biggest issue we had was the while we understood that the internet was not high speed and streaming wouldn't be possible, it wasn't conveyed in the listing that internet is actually limited to 1mb per day, which is not much. My husband and I both had a few work tasks we needed to deal with while we were on our trip and there was not enough data at the house for us to accomplish what we needed. It wasn't a huge deal, but if you are going on a working vacation, this may not be the place. Overall, though, we had a great time and would not hesitate to book Serenity Falls again.
We had a Great time. Beautiful Cabin! Huge porch with Awesome large Hot Tub.
Peaceful waterfall right beside the Cabin.
Love the black out curtains in the master bedroom.
I wish the hiking trail wasn't so steep!
The house was perfect for my friend and I. Quite secluded with most anything one would want. The skylights were a plus as the skies were clear every night we were there.
What a great stay we had! Beds were very comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit and the hiking trails!! So proud to have found the swing and truly enjoyed swinging. It was quite challenging for myself (57) but my 4 year old grandson did awesome.
The only thing that we didn’t like were all the spiders! I know there is absolutely nothing that can be done about them but my daughter and I are extremely afraid of them. I also know that’s what to expect when in the woods but not used to seeing so many. Guess we went during spider season 😫
Candie’s rental is amazing! We highly recommend!
My friend and I stayed in the cabin for a few nights. It was very well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We spent most of our time there on the porch listening to the babbling creek. I would highly recommend a stay to others.
We had a wonderful stay! We caught fish every day in Elk Creek, hiked the trails on-site, found the rope swing, enjoyed the hot tub, and had the perfect weather for a fire pit. The location is private and perfect! The cabin is well kept, clean, and comfortable. The host are Pro’s and know how to deliver! I can’t wait to book the NEW cabin across the road that’s right on Elk Creek. However, the owners gave us good direction and permission to access the property across the road. I would get in the creek there and wade to the bridge on Elk Creek Rd. Some days getting in at the bridge and working farther downstream. With light spinning tackle I caught brown trout, rainbow trout, and small mouth bass. The kids got in on the action and my daughter caught her first mountain small mouth. The road in front of the cabin is dirt, but maintained. Easy drive to Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The mountain road to Blowing Rock was so much fun, although my wife might disagree. It’s probably most fun in a Jeep or on an adventure motorcycle, but I put my F250 right up in there and had a blast! Book this cabin if you like nature, want to be secluded (but have a few neighbors on the dirt road), want to fish, or generally
Serenity Falls was just that…a very nice get away in the foothills of western Carolina. The cabin is comfortably apportioned, with the kitchen being fully stocked! The waterfall, literally right outside the door, is wonderful! Didn’t have the opportunity to use the hot tub, but we did take a peek under the cover. Very nice and clean. The covered porch served us well during our stay, as it rained almost the entire time. Would definitely rent again and recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.
I absolutely love this vacation home! I've stayed at least 3-4 times and plan to book again! It's so quiet, secluded and peaceful. The home has everything you need! If you're looking for a quiet vacation away from the hustle and bustle, you must stay here! It's a vacation you won't forget!
Just gorgeous! The most perfect place to relax and get away! The home is so cozy and FULLY stocked with anything you could need in the kitchen. The hot tub and the waterfall are so relaxing. The covered porch was perfect for reading in a rain storm. Thank you for sharing this special place!

Here’s your review I’m sorry you don’t respond to your renters
Took a short weekend trip with hubby we did get to leave earlier than expected so I messaged the manager and asked if we could check in alittle early if we arrived early would t have been but an hour but I didn’t want to impose on other guest if they were still present. I got no response so we checked in at 4 after driving around so we weren’t early. Upon arrival there was a few things not major that weren’t clean but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t do myself (even though I was paying a cleaning fee.) my biggest upset was I brought my own coffee for the Keurig machine I love my coffee, after pulling the water reservoir off to put water in it only to find it had mold floating in it the other one was just as nasty the pans in the cabinet had food stuck on them every dish we wanted to use was disgusting which for people who love to cook and bought food to make we ended up scrubbing several dishes to use and when we were getting ready to leave we were going to load the dishes we had left from breakfast in the dishwasher but it was also disgusting and so we just washed them. Windows had finger prints all over them dirt on the floor when we got there so our time to relax was spent cleaning a place we paid to stay in with hosts fees cleaning fees and taxes and a hot tub that they won’t allow at the legal temperature to kill germs and bacteria so they ask you rinse off before entering. I’m happy with the creek across the road but that’s it and since they never responded to my message
We spent Christmas at this cabin and had a great time there. This is the perfect cabin for a family getaway in the mountains. Very clean, the children enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely stay at this place again!!
The location of this cabin mixed with the waterfall was AMAZING! The water fall feels like it is on the back porch! We loved sitting under the covered porch and listening to the sounds of the waterfall. We definitely will be back to this cabin.
Our family enjoyed our stay!
We celebrated my son turning 6!
The hot tub was amazing & the hiking trials were a blast.
We can’t wait to come back for more relaxation.
The stream was so relaxing and refreshing. We caught some fish. We had a really great time just chilling 😎. Would go back again

We are an adventure loving couple and love anything to do with the outdoors. We have two vacation rentals, both in the mountains of Western North Carolina. When Covid hit, we began to explore our own backyard and fell in love with this area!
Why they chose this property
The moment we saw this property, we knew that we had to have it! We were mesmerized by the waterfall that flows just off of the deck, visible from the hot tub, living and dining room. Being big hikers, we loved the thought of having trails of our very own. And also loving to fly fish, the thought of having creek frontage on a state stocked trout stream was so exciting! This is a dream property for us and we can't wait to share it with you!
What makes this property unique
Being on 10 acres, this property has so much to offer! It is very private, surrounded by towering hemlocks. It's set on the side of a mountain allowing for private hiking trails, one that leads to a swing! There are streams that flow down the mountain, producing a small yet gorgeous waterfall just off of the deck where the hot tub sits. Also part of our property is the acre across the street that has over 200 feet of creek frontage. It's a state stocked trout stream so great for fishing but also playing! While very private and secluded, it's only a scenic, 30 minute drive to Boone!
