Easy check-in & out. Cabin was clean, well appointed with supplies and had wonderful places to hang out….interior areas, screen porch, deck, dock, back patio, and lawn area. Worked really well for our family gathering.

Osakis Getaway!

We had the best time! The cabin was great, the screened in porch was so nice to have on the couple of days it rained! Fishing was excellent! Host was available for any questions. Would definitely stay again!

Great perfect getaway!

This home on Osakis was just right for our weekend away. The dock was perfect and the location was just right! The home is much bigger in person than it seems in the listing! Will be back!

Great cabin!

What an awesome cabin on lake Osakis! We had a group of 6 friends and had a great time. The cabin is clean and has plenty of room for everyone. Kids will LOVE staying here, there is a fun loft and they can fish right off the dock. There’s room to tie up your boat on the dock as well. The owner was very responsive and helpful with my questions. I highly recommend!

Summer vacay 2022

Nice family vacation cabin! The pictures do not do it justice! We had an absolute blast here, we loved the three season porch, spent all our time not outside in there. Loved the game room stocked with numerous games and there are multiple places for you to hang out in this cabin. Owner was very accommodating and communicated with us regularly. We will definitely stay again.

Classic cabin experience

We loved so many aspects of this cabin. The many gathering spaces made it enjoyable for our family. Large refrigerator and lots of cookware/dishes. The mattress in our bed was a little uncomfortable, plus the cushions in the screened porch were flat. Otherwise, a great place to stay!

A New Year’s tradition

This cabin is wonderfully located just feet from the lake and a perfect location for fishing at the head of the lake!! We enjoyed one full day of just playing all the games in the cabin. We appreciated cooking with all the pots and pans and other kitchen utensils provided. The best part was the wood burning fireplace. We will be back for our annual tradition of fishing on Lake osakis for New Year’s!

Pleasant surprise

I haven’t done many VRBO rentals so I’m always a bit nervous about the whole process. Lance did a great job communicating with me and this cabin was everything plus some of what we were looking for! Super cute and plenty of space for all of the kids. The only thing that was disappointing was the fish were being stubborn and wouldn’t bite our hooks!

Peaceful and relaxing with breathtaking sunsets

Loved this property! The cabin layout and its location on the lake was absolutely perfect for our family for boating, walleye fishing and just enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Hours of fun catching sunnies from the dock. The large loft was a hit with our grandsons. Beds in every room, including the queen sofa sleeper were very comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the game room, screened-in porch with tabletop firepit and family room. Would highly recommend---you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Lance! Dave & Denise

Family Gathering

We spent a week in August 2022 with our kids, their spouses, pets and our granddaughter at the Cabin on Lake Osakis (6 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs). We had a great time! The cabin and property were as advertised and the floor plan worked excellent for sleeping, cooking, eating, relaxing, reading, pets, walks and access to Osakis and Alexandria. 5 Stars for the cabin. We were really disappointed in Lake Osakis 2 Stars for the lake as it really didn't have a great beach (one at Head of the Lake Resort and one in Osakis) and the lake is very weedy and has poor clarity. On top of this we were made aware that the owner had troubles with (1) their boat lift and (2) their pontoon boat the day ahead of when we were to arrive. We were told via email that neither of these would be available for us for our week. The owner told us we could rent a pontoon from the nearby resort. We were able to rent a pontoon for one of the weekdays from the Head of the Lake Resort (very nice folks) but the timing of this news was too close to the weekend already and thus boats weren't available. The kayak at the property is very nice. (FYI..no life jackets). Also, the lake is very weedy and dirty...a better fishing lake than a swimming lake for sure. This is not a show stopper but we were hoping to swim in front of the cabin or on a nice beach but we cannot recommend this lake for anyone desiring to swim alot and do water sports except for in the middle of the lake. I will say that Lance responds quickly to questions and the renters needs. In our case the news wasn't good news (boat issues) and I am not sure anyone would have received this information positively. Stuff happens...

Beautiful Place

Very nice place! The house is beautiful and very clean Kitchen is well supplied with everything you need. Nice size bedrooms with good sized closets for your clothing. The screened in porch with gas fire pit was a huge hit for our family, it was a nice place to just relax. The view of the lake was just beautiful and the neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!

Relaxing

We found this to be a very nice place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and everything else needed to run a kitchen. The new deck is awesome, so handy. Everything was great, no complaints.

Why they chose this property

This property was built in the 1950's and was added onto in the 1980's. It is very spacious with a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, great room, four season porch, screen porch and soon to come, a new large deck over looking the lake, a new patio in the back for grilling and sitting plus all new landscaping. It is a little peace of heaven on earth.

What makes this property unique

Close to the main lodge called head of the Lakes, if you want to take your family there for pizza or to play games. Close to long prairie MN where you can get all your essential items like groceries or misc things you may need also, we are 15 minutes to ale
