Wonderful property exactly as advertised. We had a group of 10 adults and the space was perfect. Plenty of space, 5 bedrooms, well appointed kitchen and great common areas outside, and on both the main floor and in the basement. The owner was super responsive when we had a question and we loved meeting Simba, the neighbor’s kitty, who stopped by frequently to check in and say hello. Would highly recommend for a weekend (or longer) getaway. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Cozy cabin with a lot of room for our group of 9. We enjoyed being able to use the fire pit, and there were plenty of places to play games/puzzles without interfering with having a place to congregate for meals.
Great property, very comfortable, well stocked kitchen and the home had lots of little amenities and everything we needed. Host Chad it's very helpful and responsive, really appreciated our time at your place.
Beautiful property inside & out! It was the perfect place to spend quality time with family. Plenty of space to spread out if we wanted & large enough gathering areas for us to be together to visit & play games. Watching the sunset from the hot tub or hammock was magical. Host was wonderful with communication. Check in & check out was easy & seamless. We’ll definitely want to stay here again!
Incredible cabin on the lake! Very easy to get to and check in/check out was seamless. The property owner Chad was exceptional with communication. Highly recommend for anyone with a family looking for rural vacation.
This property was fantastic inside and out. Back yard, too. Hot tub was a really great treat at the end of the day. My 2 5 year old grandchildren loved it. Lots of games and books for them to read. Nothing but good things to say here!
We had a great stay at this cabin! The host was friendly and responsive. The cabin was clean, had plenty of space, and had great views! We especially loved the hot tub and how peaceful the location was. Highly recommend.
It was a great property for a family vacation. Many things to do, We were able to rent a pontoon which was delivered to property. Plenty of room, clean, organized.
This was a well stocked home with beautiful finishes. The beds were super comfortable and the lake views were very nice! The owner was very responsive to some questions we had and we really enjoyed our stay here!
Our family was very comfortable in this lovely house. We enjoyed the variety of activities from kayaking, yard games, reading in the hammock, many foosball contests and s’mores by the fire. Many memories made!
Very pleasant lake home on a very nice family lake
Our three families really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were exactly as described, we had some fun family time with their yard games, enjoyed two bonfires at night, and several pontoon loops around the lake on their beautiful and well equipped boat. Very nice!
Property exceeded our expectations. Even the little things are done right, and we had a great experience. Rooms and furnishings are excellent, amenities are fantastic and the lake was great for fishing and swimming. Host was always available when needed and ensured our stay was as good as possible.
This cabin was perfect for our little family escape. The fires were cozy and perfect for the space. The various spaces allowed for us to be together or apart as much as we wished.
We highly enjoyed our time at the cabin and definitely recommend it to any family looking for a fun retreat.
While just two of us stayed here for a weekend, I would highly recommend a larger group of family or friends. A beautiful property, fully stocked, close to town. Beautiful views from the hot tub. Fire pit outside and wood burning fireplace indoors. A must stay! Property owners are highly responsive and friendly! Enjoy your stay, we did!
We (four couples) came up for a short get away and to bike the Lake Wobegon Trail. We had a fabulous time, and truly enjoyed the stay. The house was clean, well stocked, nice beds and plenty of places to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. The host was very responsive and we would definitely stay again!!!!
We had a fantastic time at this beautiful house! We could not think of anything that was not included at this property. The yard was perfect for yard games, the view of the lake is beautiful and we loved the fire pit. The house is very spacious and everyone in our group commented on how comfortable the beds were. The kitchen is extremely well stocked also. It was a very positive experience!
Comfortable beds, great host communication, loved the hot tub, well equipped kitchen, paddle boat, kayaks. Many steps down to dock were not a problem. Late summer visit so lake was green, and no sandy area, we couldn’t swim. But we had a wonderful time! Sauk Center is a great little town with a splash pad.
The home provided a wonderful space for everyone to have their own room, relax and hang out together. The hot tub was a wonderful addition! We were disappointed that the bedding, living space and kitchen cookware and utensils were not very clean. We were also shocked to find that most of the windows were all unlocked on our last day. Made us feel a bit unsafe. However we did communicate our disatisfaction with the owner and he was going to address it with maintenance and his cleaning staff. Would have been nice to have had some compensation for the lack of expected cleanliness but us ladies had fun.

Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We’re glad to hear the home provided a comfortable space for your group and that you enjoyed the hot tub.
We’re sorry to hear about the cleanliness concerns. As mentioned in our conversation, we brought this immediately to our cleaner and maintenance team to ensure it’s addressed moving forward.
Regarding the unlocked windows, this is noted in our house rules to lock them upon check-out, though not all guests follow that. If at any point you feel unsafe, you are absolutely free to lock any of the windows during your stay.
We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention, and we’re glad you were still able to enjoy your time together.
The fishing off the dock was great - LOTS of perch and largemouth bass. We caught a few rock bass and small walleye off the dock too. The property manager is very communicative and responsive to any questions.
The weather didn't cooperate for our stay, so we did not use the hot tub. We enjoyed the pontoon and paddleboat when the rain and wind permitted, but regardless we had a great stay.

About the host
Hosted by Chad Knudson
Ever since watching the movie The Holiday in 2006, it's been a dream of mine to swap my home for others around the world. VRBO allows my family to follow this dream! Here’s several things we like about hosting on VRBO...
1) Interaction with Guests: As a VRBO host from Minneapolis who loves to travel, I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to connect with guests from all over the world. It's fulfilling to share insights about my city while also learning about their travel experiences and sharing our mutual love for exploration.
2) Hospitality: Hosting on VRBO allows me to extend warm hospitality to my guests. Being a traveler myself, I understand the importance of feeling welcome and comfortable in a new place, so I strive to create a memorable experience for every guest who stays at my properties.
3) Flexibility: Balancing hosting duties with my passion for travel provides a unique flexibility. I can manage my property rental schedule in a way that allows me to continue exploring new destinations while still providing a welcoming home base for my guests.
4) Financial Benefits: Renting out my property on VRBO not only provides a supplementary income stream but also funds my own travel adventures. This reciprocal relationship between hosting and travel makes the financial aspect even more rewarding and fulfilling.
5) Creativity and Design: Designing each property differently and infusing the spaces with elements inspired by my favorite travel destinations adds a personal touch that I hope guests appreciate and enjoy.
6) Sense of Accomplishment: Successfully managing VRBO properties not only provides a sense of accomplishment but also allows me to shape the travel experiences of others. Knowing that I'm contributing to memorable vacations for my guests while pursuing my own passion for travel is incredibly fulfilling.
