About this property

Duke's Chalet Custom Built Oasis in Goat Rocks- pet friendly

Duke's Chalet is located in the private community of Goat Rocks in the heart of Packwood. You will have your own private river access here. Duke was our beloved black lab who passed away from cancer. This was his favorite place to be so we found it fitting to name our home after him. We have a 2 bed/2 bath cabin which sleeps 8 total with an additional 2 bed/loft upstairs. We are located just outside the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, 15 minutes to White Pass Ski Resort, 5 min to town

Great home base for Mt. Ranier

Our family loved the home. It felt rustic and outdoorsy, but had all the necessary amenities for meals and sleep. Great place to relax after a day of hiking in the park. Would return.

Like a Home

We stayed two nights at Duke's and had a wonderful time. Duke's feels like a home and it's apparent that the owners stay there at times by all the personal touches that include a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, etc., and even a large portrait of Duke in the living room. :) The Goat Rocks community is east of Packwood providing faster access to White Pass skiing where we enjoyed powder snow two day in a row! Great stay.

Post cruise stay

The property was great and the check in process was no fault of the property owner but I had issues with dealing with Vrbo to get an access code. The contact owner link wasn’t working for over an hour as we got closer to the property. I was finally able to get it to go through and the owner contacted me immediately. Great place and great location to go to Mount Rainier!
