This was a super comfortable property. Very spacious with large bedrooms and beds. Great proximity for both sides of Mount Rainier and White Pass area to the east. Would love to stay there again.
Overall had a great experience staying here with family when visiting Mount Ranier. Our grandkids really enjoyed playing on the playground that’s nearby.

The house was not well cleaned when we got there. The fridge was not well cleaned and had buildup along the edges. The freezer had red appearing crumbs in the ice box and the freezer drawers inside were dirty appearing. Very unwelcoming to put my food into. The house was not well cleaned with dirt and general house dust in all the rooms and nightstands. Some of the plates and bowls in the cabinet were not very clean appearing compared to some of the other dishes. I had to wash a pot before using it, as there was still residue from the last time it was used. The listing stated kids dishes, which there were none. It listed a toaster as an amenity, which there was not. There were only pots, no frying pan to cook with. I messaged the host asking if there was a pack and play available and never got a response. When I messaged her about the house being dirty she asked if I wanted to cleaner sent again. We asked for a toaster since it was listed, which they offered to have dropped off, which was delivered at 10:45 pm. Overall not a good experience. The house was a great location to town and the mountain. Each room had comfortable beds and a futon couch for extra sleeping space.
We did a quick two day trip to Mt Rainer. Location was great to get in and out. We were able to go in SE entrance on Sunday and then the North entrance on Monday. Hot tub was a bonus too!
My wife, friends and myself stayed for our anniversary weekend. We had a great time soaking in the hot tub and taking a short trip up to Mt. Rainier to enjoy the wonderful scenery and waterfalls.
We found the property to be comfortable and well stocked with needed items. When a couple issues came up, the host responded within just a few minutes.
Thank you for a great time, it was much appreciated.

My first impression of White Pass Wonder was a bit lacking from the photos. I did not recognize the house due to its different brown color. Once inside, the house was very clean and comfortable. It is VERY well stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials. I have to say, most places we rent these days go a little cheap on the toilet tissue, but White Pass Wonder did not. The beds were clean and comfortable. The couch offered a comfortable place to rest after a long day of hiking. Location to Packwood is great. We enjoyed every place of business in Packwood and highly recommend them all. The Visitor Center is a perfect first stop and, hopefully, you will meet the lovely volunteer, Dawn, who is very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. She marked maps for us that we used every day of our stay. The Mountain Goat coffee shop had great coffee and pastries, the Packwood Brewery had great craft beers and nachos, the Blue Spruce Tavern/Saloon had great hamburgers and fries, and Nacho's Mexican Restaurant was delicious and authentic. Be sure to hit Tuesday Bingo night at the Saloon. It's a hoot!We fell in love with Packwood and all the beauty of the Mount Rainier National Park. Breathtaking! I will say the photos show a bit more of a bright and modern atmosphere in the house, when it actually is more rustic than we expected. The back patio could use some work. These small negatives would not deter me from renting this house in the future.

Great location, solid home, but not exactly what we expected
First off, we had a nice holiday weekend in the Rainier area and this home allowed us to do that. Great location. Plenty of room. Comfy furniture. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking. Nice deck with good seating areas. Fun neighborhood area. Unexpected sweet treats at Santo Milagros. About 40-45 minutes from the park entrance.
The part that wasn’t what we expected was some slight cleanliness issues (cigarette butts left in trash), misinformation in check-in guide around WiFi, but the biggest issue was with the hot tub that is a prominent part of the listing. It was not on when we got there, was about 73-75 degrees, and wouldn’t turn on without resetting the breaker. After a process of getting it up to an acceptable temperature, it required a number of additional breaker resets before we just gave up the last night of our stay. The owner was very responsive on the minor issues, but there wasn’t much that could be done about the hot tub.
Again, great location, solid home, and only minor annoyances that I’m sure will be fixed for future visitors.
This place had everything we needed for a convenient foray into Mount Rainier area hikes, plus the hot tub with strong jets for aching feet afterwards! Cant' say enough about the healing power of strong jets on hiking feet! Hot tub had a full-on lounger seat with jets all along the legs, feet, and back.
We are a set of family friends -- 2 moms bringing 4 teenage sons -- to the park area for a 2-night getaway, and we were so pleased with the accommodations here. Foosball table was a hit with the boys. The place was roomy for sleeping, with 4 little futons around and bedding provided. Three comfy King beds in 3 bedrooms in the main house. Fully equipped kitchen. (Coffee pot is a mini pot, so if you're a big group with more than one coffee drinker, plan to brew several in a row, or just pack your own large maker from home.) Nice knife set, cutting boards, pots and pans, big fridge and freezer, dishwasher. We just had everything we needed for cooking our meals. Oil, salt and pepper, napkins, and the basics are all there. Also, there is a dispenser in the shower with shampoo, conditioner, and soap, which is convenient if you're packing light.
When we had questions on arrival and throughout, the hostess was promptly responsive and helpful, via text. There is no cell service, but the Wi-Fi worked great for us.
From here, there is immediate access to Packwood Lake trail. Fairly quick to Stevens Canyon entrance to Rainier (closed while we were there) and just around an hour each to Nisqually / Paradise entrance along Skate Creek Road and to White River / Sunrise entrance. We hiked at all of these and were able to beat the long lines in the morning.
At this price point, this place is a big win. All other places in the area are ridiculously expensive, so I hope White Pass Wonder remains affordable for families like ours! Hope you get to enjoy it!
The property is well located within reasonable driving distance of Sunrise, Paradise, and other sightseeing (if you are not at the local lodge). Best for a family with three bedrooms (2 upstairs and one downstairs). Well-equipped home/kitchen with all new appliances.
Deepa is very particular and a good communicator. I recommend staying at Packwood!

We enjoyed our stay. This house had very nice accommodations, beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels, kitchen utensils, and even some condiments like seasonings, coffee, ketchup, etc. It was very nice to be able to wash our clothes also. It took us a minute to figure out if we were at the right place because the outside of the house had been painted a different color than what was listed online (looks like a blue barn online, but the house is actually red now) so we were a little confused. I also didn’t have cell phone service so we had to drive out a bit to load the directions on how to unlock the door (my fault for not screen shot-ing it before we got there). We had 5 adults in our group and we had plenty of space.
