Wonderful location with spectacular views

The pictures don’t do justice as this pool’s views were incredible. We were a group of locals getting away from San Juan. We’re used to nice views, but this was over the top. The house was as expected. Dave was very attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. Will stay again.

Great view!

The house and view from the house were spectacular! Our host, Dave, was so helpful with dinner suggestions, etc. Thanks Dave! My only suggestion would be if you are not planning on eating out for meals, more kitchen utensils would be helpful. We had a great stay at Casablanca- highly recommend it!

Beautiful place

My wife, two daughters, and I stayed for five nights at this lovely house. The view is amazing, with sunrises over Vieques each day. The pool is well kept and the kids loved it. The house was very well designed and clean. The neighborhood is pretty remote so we did a lot of driving/exploring. El Yunque, Charco Hippie watering hole, and night kayaking were the highlights of the trip. I would recommend highly a stay at Casablanca del Mar!

What a view!

It was our first time in Puerto Rico and Casa blanca Del Mar did not disappoint! The home was clean and spacious with a fabulous master suite complete with its own balcony. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area with warm breezes in the evenings exceptional views all day long. David was an amazing host, always quick to respond to anything and everything! Thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us. We hope to be back soon!

Peaceful, comfortable home overlooking the ocean - gorgeous view

The home is stylish, comfortable and clean. The property owner is incredibly helpful and responsive, even meeting us late at night to make sure we could find and enter his home. We had an amazing time swimming in the infinity pool overlooking an incredible ocean view. The home is perfect for a quiet and sun-filled vacation - away from the bustle of San Juan or your daily life - or for venturing out in car to the various local sites of interest. many of which are 30-60 minutes by car.

Truly Amazing

This was one of my top 5 places to stay at! The pictures definitely do not do this place justice, the views are amazing! The rooms are gorgeous! The chef cooked our breakfast and dinners and OMG outstanding! Totally recommend that you use the services from the chef. The only thing is that you definitely need a car, there are not many things near and car service like Uber and such are almost nonexistent. Other than that! Great stay! Will definitely be coming back!

Stunning property in breathtaking location

Dave's home is simply amazing. Set on a hilltop overlooking the ocean, it is a short walk to several beautiful and nearly deserted beaches. The home is spacious and inviting with plenty of space for our family of 7 (5 teens). Sunrises were epic, and stargazing by the pool and searching for coquí were favorite nightly activities. The kitchen is adequately equipped for cooking (we made most dinners there), and the open living room and media room were a great bonus. Dave has meticulously maintained the property and was a gracious host. He showed us around the area when we arrived, and was always available to help with sites, directions, etc. Humacao was a perfect spot for setting off on excursions throughout the island. Within Humacao, do not skip the café con leche at Ohana Jireh coffee shop!!! We can't wait to come back - thank you Dave!

FRONT DOOR

Sliding glass door (front door). Did not lock properly. This is unacceptable and unsafe for anyone, especially for families who have small children . Pictures online vs what the actually property looks like are misleading. We arrived late Monday night and left early Tuesday morning. This property is not what we expected. Would never refer this property to anyone .

Highly recommend this rental

Our family of 5, with kids ages 16, 14, and 9 stayed at this beautiful home, truly Heaven on Earth. From the breathtaking views at any spot inside or outside the house, to the hospitality of our host, it was an unforgettable experience for our family. The inside of the house is beautifully decorated and comfortable with all the amenities you need. It’s a sanctuary that provided much-needed, relaxation and fun for us. Our host, Dave kept in touch with us and gave us lots of recommendations. Anytime we texted him he responded back right away. There’s beautiful private beaches within 10 to 15 minute walk. The walk itself was serene with views of the mountains and surrounded by trees and nature. Activities, such as exploring, the rainforest, horseback, riding, and visiting old San Juan were within a reasonable driving distance. If you are looking for a more touristy experience, this place is not for you. With this rental you have the luxury of all the privacy, but can drive to activities as you like. You will get a real authentic and modest cultural experience here. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity to make beautiful memories with our family.

You will not regret

What an amazing home. You will not find another view like this on the island. Just blown away. David is an excellent host. He communicates well, and goes over and above. About a 15 minute walk to a private beach. We went out deep sea fishing. When we didn't land a fish to eat at the home, he asked if we wanted him to pick up a Mahi-Mahi at the local fishing village being he was there. How nice is that!! House is amazing. Very quirky design and furnishings.. Infinity edge pool is very large for a private home too. Beds are super comfortable and each room has AC. Awesome movie room to enjoy in the evenings. Wi-FI worked perfect and very fast. If I had to nit-pick. The only down side was the water pressure is so-so. The Kitchen does not have all features available for you to use. Probably due to covid? However, It does have most everything you would need. We will definitely be returning. A real gem of a home!!!

Awsome location, Amazing house and incredibly helpful host

The location of the house in Huacoa was perfect for a family getaway. There were great markets and restaurants and the most amazing beaches with hardly anybody, if anybody on them. There was soft sand for castle building, enough surf for a five year old to ride a wave on a boogie board. warm water for all. The VBRO was a true hilltop villa. The views of the jungle to the ocean were beautiful and sunset and sunrises were breathtaking. The pool with the tanning shelfwas perfect forthe toddlers, children and adults. We swam before breakfast and after dinner and many times in between. The interior of the house had every ammenity mentioned in the write up and then some. The house was very clean, comfortable, the air-conditioning worked well, the internet was fast and the beds werer comfy. There were balconys to sit and a movie room to watch a show in. Our host was full of information about things to do in the area and good places to eat. He even stocked our house for us with the essentials on the day of our arrival. He met us at the house and showed us how everything worked and where everything was. It was absolutely perfect. We have never had such a good host. I hope we can go back and spend another 10 days there. I miss it already.

Best place to RELAX

David went above and beyond, even when I wanted to book Tennis practice lessons, he arranged that for me! This is NOT the typical VRBO rental property, it’s well above. The high end Kitchen Appliances from Sub-Zero fridge, Wolf stove , Kitchenaid microwave… etc. Clearly they did not spare a dollar building this private vacation home. The Pool is totally private ( except for a curious falcon who would visit once or twice / day) Deserves more than 5 stars for cleanliness! Also there is a large LG washer and dryer on the 2nd floor, if I knew that, we could have packed much less with us. Glad we rented an SUV, the drive way up to the house was some what steep ( which is on top of the hill - like 200 ft above .. ) we totally didn’t mind .. as we were rewarded by unobstructed views. You’ll have to drive to a nicer beaches ( like 30-40 mins away) the beach down the hill was all sea weed and muddy / brownish water - not sure if that’s seasonal or what.. but we enjoyed the pool so much … kids didn’t even want to go to the beach. Downtown is about 10-15 mins by car, everything is available there - Walmart to all sort of restaurants. Just ask David about restaurants recommendations! Thank you David, we look forward to returning again! Oh and that Oriental theme! Very exotic !! Also house has a media room ( which we didn’t use) who wants to watch a movie in a home theater … when all these beautiful nature is waiting outside!?

Relaxing Birthday Girls Trip in Paradise

First time to Puerto Rico, I didn't know what to expect but knew I wanted a clean covid safe property, physically safe as it was all girls traveling, with a nice pool and great views and it checked all the boxes. The property was beautiful, the pool and views were amazing. David was really great, giving us the best route to take from the airport because certain roads could be tricky at night your first time, offering to meet us at the nearby shopping center to guide us to the house (there's a Walmart not too far, it sells liquor, and a Pollo Tropical, KFC, domino's pizza etc if you're looking for mainland options for food and plenty of authentic Puerto Rican places along the way) There is a really good local spot along the route in the neighborhood that had the best empanadillas. The house was fantastic, there's a gate at the bottom of the hill so it felt secure, the views were breath taking, the pool was probably about 9ft at the deepest end with a great sunbathe section. If I had to say a downside it was the electric plug in burners to cook on, they didn't heat evenly and took forever to get hot, but we made it work, theres a grill and air fryer if you want other options; and the mattresses were a little too soft for some of our liking, but that's just a matter of preference. Everything else was so perfect it was hard to be bothered by those little things. Theres an extra 4th media room that was a nice surprise. Very nice draft throughout the house but the AC worked great if the draft wasn't enough. About an hour from San Juan, the views along the way and ocean on this side of the island were heavenly, my only regret was not booking at least 1 more day. I've already had friends and family inquire about booking, and I absolutely recommend it.

Paradise Unfolded

Staying at this property gave us a peace, comfort and calm we didn’t know existed. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed staying here for a number of reasons, the pool is beautiful, the home is well maintained and spacious, the grounds are lush and nicely manicured, the views (ocean, mountains, greenery) are magical, and the property is near all attractions beaches, restaurants and shopping. La ubicación de la casa y la vista esta súper bien, la casa pudo haber estado mucho más limpia, si tu prioridad es la privacidad te recomiendo hablar con el encargado y dejar claro que no quieres a nadie adentro de la propiedad porque tuvimos una mala experiencia con eso, las puertas de cristal no tienes ningún tipo de seguridad, sólo un portón fuera de la casa… ósea en la casa no hay ningún tipo de seguridad.

Amazing property!

Our family of 6 stayed here for a week. We did not want to leave this paradise to return home. If you are reading this and your dates are available - Book It Now! Words can not describe how amazing the views were, the photos do not serve it justice. The home had so much character, we loved all the special touches and artwork. There was more than enough space for all of us. The beds were very comfortable. They guys and the kids loved the media room. The pool area was where we spent the most time. I was up early every morning watching the beautiful sunrise over the water. On the days where we had no adventures planned, we were in our swim suits in and around the pool by 8 am. The pool was huge! Looking out over the infinity edge was my favorite! As for David, our host - in all my years of renting via VRBO, I have never had such a gracious host! I am an owner of a vacation rental on VRBO and he really raised the bar for me on how guests should be treated. Thanks David for sharing your amazing property with us! We will be back! And will make you that crawfish etouffee next time we are there. Buena Vida!

Stunning views

Pros : The pool at this property is stunning and offers great views all day long. The pool was clean and is definitely the USP of the place. We spent most of our time in the pool and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Cons: One thing that can be improved is the cooking range and dish washing. We were a big group and cooked most of our meals and the cooking range didn’t meet our needs as it took too long to heat up. Also having a dishwasher would have been great. Overall I would recommend the place for the pool and the stunning view.

Dream Vacation

This house is amazing. A 5-star review just isn’t enough! My family and I stayed here and David was a perfect host. Great communication through the entire process, and he always made sure we were comfortable, asked if we needed anything, and provided advice and information about the area for sightseeing, attractions, and dining. We HIGHLY recommend El Ikokal down the street from the property to eat. They make some incredible pastelillos with fresh meat/seafood. The pictures don’t even come close to how great this place is, or the views. The beach nearby wasn’t the best for swimming, but the hike to the cliff nearby was breathtaking. Ocean views, a great breeze, location on the island, all of the wildlife and mountain scenery make this place worth it. We will definitely be back. David, thank you so much for helping make our family vacation so perfect. See you next time!
