About this property
Beau Point: Dog-Friendly Waterfront w/dock "Where live oaks meet the sea…”
Beautiful private sound front property shaded by 100-year old live oak trees with a dock. Just one mile from The Boathouse Marina, public boat ramp, and two miles from the Beaufort docks...perfect distance for golf cart rides. This amazing tucked-away rental sports the most incredible sunrise in Carteret County as it rises over Harkers Island bridge. Life is slower here where the egrets fish in the marsh and dolphins play as the tide lazily rolls in. This 1800-sq-ft comfortable cottage has been recently renovated and boasts three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, full capacity laundry room, and spacious living and entertaining areas, including two outdoor decks for additional leisure. Plenty of space to park boat and trailer in yard. Male and female beach cruiser bicycles provided for meandering through town. Brand new dock that is 12-foot on the T. Catch crabs in the crab pot provided and fish off the dock. No swimming due to oyster rocks in the marsh and shallow water. Bring your kayaks for incredible adventures through the marsh. By boat, it's only 20 minutes to get to the Cape and 7 minutes to Wade Shore and Shackelford Banks. Gas up the boat around the corner at Boathouse marina. Linens included; smoking outdoors only. We charge a $150 non-refundable pet fee for one dog under 50 pounds. The property and host are a hidden gem. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The home was exceptionally clean and the host Jen was very communicative and flexible. A great find. Thank you Jen
Overall, this was a nice house with great views, particularly of the sunrise over the North River Channel. The extra bed in the “den” area was perfect for a teenager and it was nice that all seven of us could sit at the table together for meals. We didn’t even mind that there was no dishwasher, as it made for some bonding and a few laughs after dinner! It would have been nice to have a door or curtain on the master bathroom door, not really a complaint as much as a suggestion! The trip to Cape Lookout is well worth the ferry cost!
The host was very responsive to messages. The property is exactly as it is described and easy to access. The house is very clean inside and out. The view of the waterway is amazing. The house is close to Beaufort and Morehead City.
This was a wonderful property for our family get together. 6 of us stayed here for a week. The property was clean and smell free when we arrived. The location is awesome, right on the water inlet. The property itself was in good condition. The water still has a smell to it, however it’s evident the hosts are trying their best to fix it. Can’t really fault them as smell is just something you deal with sometimes with well water. I would have liked to be able to turn the thermostat down from 72, as I like my environment on the cooler side, but the host requested we leave the thermostat at 72. And the fan in our bedroom made a rattling sound we couldn’t get rid off. So that was inconvenient when trying to cool our space. The photos are also a little dated. It’s evident that the porch is a little older now than in the picture. But it’s still in good condition. Overall, the price for the on the water location, a quite neighborhood, a the condition of the house was excellent. And the host was very communicative and helpful throughout the stay. If you’re ok with a warmer environment and looking for a deal, then I would definitely recommend this place.
Wonderful area, very quiet neighborhood and great views of the water. Loved exploring Front Street and looking at the historical houses. House was comfortable, nicely decorated and provided everything we needed.
This was the perfect spot for us. The property was perfect, the house was perfect and the host was PERFECT with response. Overall, the trip was PERFECT !!!
Three of us guys have stayed here 2x to be near where we like to fish. Having the boat dock soo close to the house is very convenient.
I highly recommend this spot to anyone who is looking to get on the water or wants to take in Beaufort, Atlantic Beach, etc.
Great host as well. Jen is fantastic!!
We were supposed to be in Florida for New Year’s but travel conflicts changed our plans. After several cancelled flights we decided just to drive down to the NC coast and found this great hideaway. Description and pictures are all accurate and views are absolutely beautiful. Home is minutes from downtown Beaufort which was perfect for enjoying all of the wonderful restaurants and scenery. The property owner was extremely hospitable and prompt with our inquiries. We will absolutely consider staying here again.
This home is a great getaway for anyone wanting to relax and de-stress. Close enough to the city for shopping and far enough away to be relaxing.
Thanks so much!

About the host
Hosted by Jen
We lived in Beaufort for seven years and developed strong ties to the area and her people. It was our dream to someday own land where the grass meets the water and 23 years later here we are. It truly is a slice of heaven. Welcome to our happy place!
Why they chose this property
We were married at the end of Lennoxville Point in 2003. We believe Lennoxville Point and its surrounding area to be the prettiest and best location in Beaufort!
