St Simons Island Townhouse Close to Beach and Village

Location, Location, Location!!! This townhome, in the Island Townhouses complex, is less than a mile to Coast Guard beach access and close to The Village area with shops and restaurants. Both bedrooms have a queen and a full bed and a TV. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, and utensils with a dining area with seating for six. All linens, towels and cookware are provided. - Please bring your own beach towels. The Housekeeping fee includes: paper towels, toilet tissue, facial tissue, dishwasher tablets, liquid dish soap, laundry packet, hand soap, and trash bags.

Please note there is not a washer/dryer within the condominium but there is a laundry facility on property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it's on the quieter side of the island with only a little road noise at the location. Conveniently placed with beach access and downtown only a few minutes away. We had to reach out to the property owners for some answers but were promptly responded back to. Quiet apartment complex with plenty of room for the family.

Great long weekend!!

Great communication, easy to get to and check in. The location is great!! 5 min or less drive to the beach. Looks like the complex has been doing updates and it looks great. The pool area was awesome for our family. It’s shaded with other games to play as well. It was across the street from the airport but that did not bother us at all. The air traffic was very minimal and more during the day anyways when we were down at the beach! We will definitely be coming back here for our visits with our friends to St Simon’s!

Very Solid Place and in great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. Home was clean, neighborhood was quiet, and we had all the amenities we wanted and were expecting plus only just a couple minutes drive from the beach and 5-10 minutes to downtown. The townhouse has some signs of wear and the beds could have been more comfortable, but after the big days we had on the beach and walking around town we all slept just fine!

Great location! Close to the beach, pier, shops & lots of restaurants. Ryan was a great communicator and answered all my questions prior to my booking. This townhouse has everything you need as well as enough beds for a large family. We will definitely return!

It was amazing!

The only reason I have four stars was due to a tick being on the wall in the bedroom, and some of the wall outlets did not work, other than that the place was fantastic! I definitely recommend going!

A little SSI time.

My daughter, myself, and a friend of hers went for a little beach time and also to enjoy some of the rich coastal history the area offers. This location was easy access to the beach and village and a short ride to most of the historical sites as well. I love the fact that this place was pet friendly as my k9 companion travels everywhere with me.

Overall it was very nice and clean. Was a little disappointed that the TV in the back room did not work. One remote didn't have any batteries and the other had dead batteries. We bought batteries but still nothing worked with the TV. ouln't get any basic channels. My 4 year old was disappointed with that big time.Would have also been nice to have shampoo and conditioner but we were able to buy some.

Family vacation

My only complaint is we saw a couple of big bugs in the living room. One went under the couch. The other ended up belly side up the next morning so I assume the place is fumigated on a regular basis. Other than that, it is beautiful and in a perfect location. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

I’ve been coming to SSI for years to see family here and we wanted to stay fairly close to the beach with our dog. For the cost of this rental, it was old and outdated.

Family Vacation

This property was clean, comfortable, and roomy. We were 5 adults and one 2 year old toddler. I was grateful that there was plastic dishes for the toddler. Everyone was glad that there was plenty of space for us without tripping over each other. The host was very responsive to any questions I had. Location was awesome, only 1 mile from the beach, which was an easy walk. We figured out parking for 3 vehicles by keeping the most used car in the designated parking space. For the 5 days and 6 nights we were there, I wished there was more than 3 pods for the dishwasher, but we made it work. This was our first time doing a Vrbo, and over all it was a pleasant experience. I would stay here again.

Unexpected

The property had good reviews. Arrived to strong odor (pet smell). Broken drawers, cabinets. I almost fell down sitting on a broken dining room chair. The back door couldn't be locked. Needless to say, not feeling comfortable with my belongings being left while we explored, we elected to leave early and didn't stay after the first night. The upstairs is significantly hotter than the cooler down stairs. Unfortunately that's where the sleeping quarters are. Bad nights sleep knowing the downstairs wasn't locked and sweating in the June heat.

Island Getaway

My husband and I spent two weeks on St. Simon's Island to get away from the snow of Michigan. We were delighted with this location. We were within walking distance of several restaurants, and could easily have walked to the beach. Our dog, Lola, traveled with us, and loved chasing her ball on the dog-friendly beaches. We brought our kayaks, and were able to paddle down the quiet river to the beach. My husband did this several times, and was able to catch some nice fish. The condo is large enough to host 4 people comfortably, or more if you want to squeeze. It would be perfect for a family with small children. The neighborhood feels completely safe, although it can get a little busy. Ryan answered my questions quickly, and was sure to let us know about small maintenance work that was done while we were there. We really enjoyed our Island vacation, and will very likely visit again next year. Thanks!
