BEAUTIFUL FORESTED LOCATION. FAMILY FRIENDLY FLOOR PLAN. FUN GAME ROOM. So many things to enjoy this Winter. Great for family getaways so please check our unsolicited 5 star reviews. The forest trees are beautiful. Enjoy a fun filled vacation in this upscale decorated and well maintained Tahoe Donner home. PRIVATE LOCATION within the Tahoe Donner fir forest surrounded by nature and all fun TD amenities. The 3100 sq.ft. house allows for families or couples to move freely, enjoying relaxed dining together (dining room seats up to 8). Enjoy quiet reading in the library or enjoy movies on the new big smart flat TV's. The downstairs recreation room is full of FUN activities for everyone --pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, Smart TV. This room (not a bedroom) has two bunk beds that sleep up to four. House is centrally located near all Tahoe Donner amenities--Trout Creek Recreation Center pools/spa, fitness center, hiking trails, downhill ski and cross country areas. Easy level driveway (no crazy icy hill) and covered garage (max. 2 spaces). House has all the interior amenities you could ever need. Everything is here for you! Just bring your appetite for fun, friendship, and family play! THIS IS A QUALITY HOME WITH A COMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE FOR OUR GUESTS ALWAYS IN MIND! Please note our minimum stay requirements for holiday periods. No pets allowed, no smoking/vaping of any substances. Not suitable for children under 5 years. We had a wonderful stay. The house is comfortable, nicely furnished and it was so much fun to be able to use the pool table and ping pong in the basement. The layout worked well for our kids to bring friends with them; there was plenty of space for all. Access to Tahoe Donner amenities is a perk. The owner is very responsive.

Great stay

Location was great, and there was plenty of snow on property. The house was well equipped of amenities: blankets, cooking ware, and towels to name a few. It was spacious yet homey and cozy. I definitely would recommend and would come back again.

Great Place

Spent an extended weekend and was fabulous. Very spacious and comfortable. Peaceful and delightful. The kitchen table was perfect larger groups. Would absolutely stay there again.

Perfect getaway home

Our two families spent a much-needed vacation here for a week this summer and found it offered everything we needed: lots of space to relax, a backyard/deck to enjoy the sounds and smells of nature, a very well-equipped kitchen, games for our children to play, and comfortable bedrooms for everyone. The location was fantastic and we loved all the privacy the open backyard offered. We look forward to returning in the winter and enjoying the comforts of this fabulous home with snow outside. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Amazing Stay

Our family just finished an amazing stay. The property was clean, well furnished and very roomy. Great location and a perfect home to bring 7 to 11 year olds. We did a ton of sledding in the backyard! We had over 4 feet of new snow and had such a great trip. Fal, the owner was really responsive, checked in each day to give us updates on snowplowing, etc. Overall I would highly recommend this rental.

The house was the perfect size for the eight of us

We enjoyed our Christmas stay. We built a snowman, sledded and played in the snow. The trees were beautiful when we got there, adorned with snow. The house had plenty of activities for the kids and grown-ups to do. The kitchen had all the things we needed to cook our dinners. Family skiing is close by and downtown Truckee is only about 12 minutes away. We enjoyed an Escape room with the family.

Winter getaway

We stayed here with one other family and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The house has beautiful large windows that lets you enjoy the view and the living space fit both our families with space to spare, it exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was well stocked and the downstairs bunk room with the pool table kept the dads occupied. We liked the location which was a close drive to nearby donner ski resort for the kids to learn lessons and markets were also a short drive out of the neighborhood. There is only two full baths which may be an issue for some but it worked for us. The house itself is spacious and the grounds outside as well for kids to run around in. Overall it was a great and memorable stay with the snow coming down and the cozy house. Fal was always quick to answer any questions we had and left instructions throughout the house. Would def look to stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Copenhagen Haus. The owner was very helpful during a massive winter storm. Our kids had a great time in the house, and especially with the ping pong table and air hockey in the basement. The kitchen was well appointed and stocked.The layout of the house was great for our family. It was a very comfortable and cozy house, and we look forward to coming again (perhaps with less snow)!

Beautiful Home

This listing was excellent. The neighborhood was local and the grounds around the home were so beautiful. The house itself had so many great nooks and crannies to hole off in and plenty of social areas to congregate. The owners were excellent at communication and very helpful. Highly recommend this home..

Quiet family getaway

We had a great time relaxing after picking the kids up from camp. Close to Truckee while feeling secluded in the woods. Everything worked great, especially loved the pool table.

First rate accomodations.

Despite initial concerns about poor air quality that weekend and lack of AC, the stay was lovely. Home was spacious and accommodated all six adults with lots of inside activities, high-end rustic decor, relaxing views and quality food prep areas which were important because Donner Lake was socked in with terrible smoke. The owner not particularly sympathetic about our concerns about air quality being in hazardous range and I think an air purifier should be purchased for the property for the future because smoke may become a common occurrence. We did purchase an air purifier as recommended the owner and we were comfortable and no AC necessary.

Amazing home and location!

This is the perfect property if you’re looking for an amazing home with every amenity you could possible imagine, and all in a location close to everything that Tahoe has to offer. The open kitchen and large table were perfect for all our Delicious meals together! And the game room was such a huge hit that we want to create a game room just like it at our house! Can’t wait to come back for summer fun!

Ski Break

We thoroughly enjoyed ski week at this home. There is a lot of space for everyone to spread out, an incredibly functional kitchen and floor plan, and the kids had great fun in the game room. Owners were quickly responsive to any questions.

Perfect. Just what we needed!

We highly recommend the Copenhagen Haus. We brought our three sons for a family gathering and were very impressed. The western decor, the floor plan, and presentation were perfect. Very clean with everything here we needed. We will come again this winter.

We had a very relaxing experience in the Copenhagen Haus. Beautifully decorated mountain home. Floor plan was perfect to allow some to be downstairs playing pool while we gathered in the living room. Very clean and well maintained home. Highly recommend.

Great Place!

This place is so spacious and fun! It’s the kinda house that makes you feel relaxed and it’s super cozy. The kids loved the pool table, ping pong and air hockey. The view from the large windows is stunning. Great location for skiing Northstar-quick drive. The owners communicate very well and are very organized in expectations and informing you where to find things. We hope to be back!

We are a family of three with our one son, Natt who is now 33 and attended graduate school in the Bay Area and just married. We have lived in Santa Barbara for over 40 years, but truly enjoy the summer and the snow, the mountains, Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe. We hope you enjoy all the fun Winter and Summer things to do that will be memories for you and your friends for many years to come. We have been happy to have shared our house with so many families in the past. It's a special home in a special forest.

Why they chose this property

Tahoe Donner represents such great WINTER AND SUMMER amenities. The downhill ski area is where our son first learned to ski AND snowboard. Donner Lake is where he learned to wakeboard. The recreation center with its spa, pools, and workout weight room offers after activity relaxation and fitness. We love to snowshoe and the cross county ski center has miles of beautifully groomed trails for all levels of cross country fun. The mountain bike trails criss/cross Tahoe Donner. It's so quick and easy to get to any of the Tahoe ski areas, especially Northstar and Sugar Bowl. When we arrive at the house we feel a wonderful peace as the house is surrounded by the old growth Fir and Pine forest on all three sides. We watch the squirrels and the jays scamper up and down the trees and across the snow looking for winter or summer food. We always hate to leave!

THE LOCATION surrounded on three sides by the forest with no CLOSE next door homes and no "dueling' bar-b-ques" gives a feeling of quiet serenity away from everyday home life. You feel a million miles away from everything, yet you are so convenient and close to all Tahoe activities. It's so easy and relaxing here in the Copenhagen Haus.
