This updated flat is just a splash away from Lover’s Point Beach and the Coastal Recreational Trail. Part of a multi-unit Victorian, the “A” unit is completely private. Enter the ocean view living room through a glass-enclosed, vine-covered porch and relax on the leather sofa in front of a huge flat screen TV. There’s a dining table for two and a compact kitchen with a four burner gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and a stainless steel topped island (no dishwasher). The bedroom has a platform bed and a second TV, and the spacious bath has a tub/shower. There’s a shared, credit card-operated washer/dryer in the garage. Street parking only. Great location, perfect bungalow getaway

Nestled just steps from Lover’s Point Beach and the scenic Coastal Recreational Trail, this charming 1-bedroom, 1‑bath flat offers a refreshingly cozy getaway in a beautifully restored Victorian. This walk-to-the-beach or to-town retreat sleeps two comfortably and is ideal for couples looking for a quaint coastal escape. Clean and comfy. We have used Monterey Rentals many times and will again.

Pacific Grove is Gorgeous!

The property is as described in this VRBO listing. The property location is very residential and amazing. A short walk both to the beach and to downtown with lots of restaurant choices. We were very happy with our stay on Fountain Ave!

Big Sur International Marathon suite

Wonderful place and great location!

We loved the location! The apartment was clean and well appointed. We cooked most of meals there and had everything we needed. It is a quick walk to multiple restaurants and you can see the water from the front windows.

Pacific Grove Adventure

We originally chose this area as we were planning a trip down the Pacific Coast Highway past Big Sur. We were very pleasantly surprised by the Pacific Grove area. There were some very nice restaurants in the area and plenty to see and do. Our accommodations were just right for the location and amenities. The booking and check in process was very easy and the description was bang on. Very pleasant indeed.

Great way to see Monterey peninsula

Lovely place perfect location in pacific Grove. Close to beach, walking to town and along coast. Short ride to monterey and carmel. Nice quiet neighborhood. Place is well kept and conveniently located.

Pacific Grove getaway

Great location -walking distance to so many things. Street parking in front of house was available every time we got back to the house after an outing. Very quiet neighborhood, which was really nice and relaxing.

Perfect for our weekend

We loved this spot with an ocean view. Easy walk to many things we wanted to see and do. Super clean. Bed was very comfortable. Free street parking was a big plus. Nice, quiet neighborhood.

Loved It

Great location, especially if you like to walk. Restaurants and grocery store a few blocks away. Asilomar Beach and Cannery both a little over a mile away. Ocean (with miles of path) a half-block away. A comfortable place for two.

Cute beach getaway

Super cute little property just down the street from Lover’s Point! The home was clean and cozy. Only thing is that it says there is a washer/dryer but we didn’t see any so that’s a little misleading but other than that, great place to stay for a weekend!

Great location

Great VRBO. Nice one bedroom with well-equipped kitchen. Best feature is the close proximity to Lover's Point, restaurants in Pacific Grove - all within walking distance. Also, it is right near the bike path that goes into Monterey. Don't expect a place to sit with a view of the ocean.

Fantastic!

Spotless, well-equipped, and two blocks from the ocean in a quiet and quaint neighborhood. Walk from the home to as far as you'd like in any direction: to restaurants, shopping, Monterey, along the ocean, or through neighborhoods. Manager was very responsive.

Wonderful Location - Could Use Some Warmth

This is a beautiful location. The property itself is very sterile. For the cost of this rental, the apartment deserves some warmth, color, and finishing touches. It looks like someone went to a sale at IKEA and then stopped in at Best Buy and got a deal on an oversized TV. This location is too nice to be decorated like a motel.

Ocean time

This unit is small but quite suitable for a couple/individual. It's very close to Lover's Point and the Ocean Blvd walking path. We walked over to Lighthouse Ave Starbucks and enjoyed the beautiful historical homes along the way. We also walked to the Grove easily for supplies. The only problem for us was not enough heat. The portable heater was fine in the bedroom.

Cozy cottage near Lover's Point

The Fountain Ave cottage is a cozy and well-appointed way to stay near the coast in Pacific Grove. We found everything to be new, clean, bright, and comfortable. Steps from the front door is the beautiful Lover's Point park and walkway going past the aquarium and Cannery Row, all the way to the marina and Fisherman's Wharf. Otters and sea lions are playing in the waves, seagulls are flying overhead, and whales are occasionally spouting in the Bay. We saw one on Christmas morning, and it was glorious! The kitchen has everything you need for light meals and snacks.

Good Stay

Older, small unit but well appointed and in a terrific location. While you really can’t see the ocean from the living room, you can walk to it just a few houses away. Pacific Grove is also walking close and the Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row are very close also. Unit is fine for a couple or single. Great, comfy King bed. Laundry is downstairs in the garage and requires an app and credit card. Only issue was hot water in the bathroom; sink was an ongoing problem and sometimes the shower too. Communication with management folks was excellent and check-in was super easy. All in all, I’d certainly come here again.

Overall, great, small place and super close to the beach and downtown. Not great was the powerful, potent, and "offputting" smell in the house from a cleaning product. I would advise to use a lot less of it. My husband and I had the windows, doors, all open, and cooked meals, and that made no difference. Nothing penetrated that smell. Thank you.
