Thank you for the review Jay! We hope to host you again in the future.
Attended a wedding at the Elm Estate and stayed on the grounds in one of the new adjacent units. We’ll maintained and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.
The cottage was lovely. It was a bit of a walk to restaurant and pubs. The cottage is located in a RV park and next to a railway depot. It was quite noisy.
The view of the Elm Estate was the best part of our stay. The surrounding trailer park…not so great. Even though the Amethyst is a tiny property, there could have been more dishes to fill the cabinets and a larger kitchen trash can. When I first entered the bathroom, I was greeted by a long blond hair dangling from the wall cabinet.

The tiny house was beautiful and unique. The grounds that it was on was gorgeous. My husband and I really enjoyed the deck at night. The breakfast that they stocked the kitchen with was very nice. Can't wait to stay there again
Beautiful property. Not enough cookware in kitchenette. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay. Next time I book bring my microwave dishes.

It was a comfortable cottage that had everything I needed. Almost went out to get foot after I first arrived but noticed that wasn't necessary when I saw croissants, etc here to eat along with jelly, 2 orange juice bottles, 2 water bottles and 2 other juice bottles. There's even some space between you and the next neighbor so they didn't wake me up and I don't think I woke them up, even though I stay up pretty late.
The pictures are as described in this adorable tiny house. Communication with the property owner was easy and efficient. The directions and access information was clearly stated in the welcome letter/email. The location was easy to find (we are familiar with the area but would be easy for anyone not familiar). When we arrived, we were even more trilled to find this property is was even better than we expected! The property to the tiny houses is gated and an access code is required to enter (provided by property owner). The large inviting patio and spacious courtyard seating with fire pit were the perfect end to an evening and beginning to a quiet morning. The inside of the unit is exceptionally clean and spacious for a tiny house. The living/lounging area has a comfortable sofa, seating area to eat and a kitchenette. The kitchen has a one cup coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. Coffee and creamer are provided. We were pleasantly surprised that breakfast (fresh pastries, a variety of instant oatmeal and tangerines) were provided. The refrigerator was stocked with water and juice assortments. The bathroom was fully stocked including a hair dryer. The bedroom’s king bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets. The large closet has an ironing board and iron. The living area and bedroom had separate heating/air units. We had plans to go out one evening but decided to stay in and enjoy the patio/courtyard instead. This location is a short drive (about a 1.5) to downtown. We rode our bikes downtown one morning and enjoyed the riverfront. The owner left a detailed list of recommendations for restaurants and nightlife.
This property is part of a camping/trailer area but we felt extremely safe.

Everything was very clean, only complaint we have is that the propane tank was missing so we could not enjoy the outdoor fire area and the filter on the fridge needed to be replaced which caused the fridge to continuously beep. But loved staying here and would recommend! I look forward to coming back!

Long review for good reason...
Excellent stay, location (less than 5 min in a car to downtown and midtown etc), grounds -safe and manicured gated property with lights and picture worthy buildings, but most of all the service was exceptional. The staff really went above and beyond to make our stay great.
Cottage details: Beautiful tiny home/cottage with modern design and furnishings in a compact package. My teenage daughter and I stayed for a snowboarding vacation and as our cottage had a futon couch, one of us took the bedroom, one took the living room and we each had our space with our own thermostats! Perfect. The deck was great -after some help from the staff. Easy parking right behind our cottage. Gate code, kitchenette space. The layout is honestly perfect during these COVID times as you don't have to interact with a bunch of people as you would in a hotel. The cottages aren't always full so separated we felt like it was just us a lot of the times.
Service details: I've worked in hospitality before and this is where the Elm Estate really shined. None of the decks had chairs like in the online ads so I called the front desk to ask about them as we wanted to chill on the deck. At first the line didn't pick up so I sent an email. 10 min later I received both an email response and a knock on the door from the staff apologizing for missing the call as they were giving a tour, and then asking what she could help with. I asked about the deck furniture and was told that due to the cold weather they just weren't leaving the stuff out, but could bring us some chairs etc. Mind you, this was at 4:45 pm with only 15 min left in the staff's day. I thought maintenance workers might move a couple chairs there, but looked out the window to see the two women on staff moving not only two chairs, but an outdoor sofa and rug/mat over themselves.
Second -as soon as they finished, a couple from another cottage told us how great the fire pits are and that we could take theirs. I called the front desk to ask if it was ok if I moved the fire pit over (there's about 4 minutes left in their day) and the staff said they would find another one for us and bring it over. Again they did it themselves along with the butane tank, hooked it up and got it going. The ad didn't even show a private fire pit for your cottage.
Lastly, I left an item in the safe and they immediately worked to ship it back to me overnight all with a great attitude. 5 stars is too few. Thanks!!
