A beautifully-designed, well-appointed apartment in a great location. Hosts communicated well and everything was smooth & enjoyable for our very brief stay
Our family of three, mom dad and 6 year old, had a wonderful time staying at this clean and cozy spot. It was the perfect location for a home base while we were visiting friends and family and seeing music at the Moda center. The check in and check out process was easy and stress free. The host made sure we knew we could reach him if needed, but all of the instructions were so clear and reasonable that there was no need to. We plan on staying here again!
Clean comfortable home. Located near a wonderful pastry shop, and custom cocktail bar. Walking distance to a grocery store, Alberta Arts district and Alberta Park.
The location was not too far from downtown. New Seasons just down the street was a great plus. Communication was seamless as well as the check-in process. Everything you would need for a weekend stay was provided as well as a nice bottle of wine as a welcome (although we did not partake).

Not that pleased
I explicitly stated I was coming with my 3 teens and the first thing I see upon walking in was a bottle of wine on the table . It didn’t seem appropriate. I am disabled which I don’t usually even state , but all concrete floors which I don’t believe was listed , made my pain level pretty severe . The cold concrete throughout caused mine and my child’s EDS pain levels to spike for sure . I would say that plus the ants all over the table that could not be controlled by us and the centipede I had to kill in the bedroom , made my kids quite uncomfortable. It’s not a bad location and it was a beautiful space . It was just more accommodating to young party type of peoples and not a mother with 3 teens . Especially not the most comfortable for someone with a pain disorder. The cold draft from the floors could be felt to my knees even with the heat on . And oh wow were there ants . Table unuseable due to the ants . I have pictures but the review space doesn’t have a location for them .
We came down to Portland for just one night. We could have stayed longer! The area had so many restaurants and fun places to explore! Everything was in walking distance. This place was great!
We had a great time in Portland and loved our stay in this property. We were a group of 5 adults. 2 people stayed in each room and the 5th stayed on the couch, where there was enough linens and comforters for the 5th person to sleep well too. The weather was very cold in Portland, but the wall heaters in each room kept us comfortable and warm. There were plenty of cups, glasses, plates, bowls, utensils, etc. for us to cook a couple of meals before having to run the dishwasher. We rented a car so we could explore outside of the area. Even though street parking was sparse, we could always find a spot. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Had a great stay with my kids here, having the bedrooms on opposite sides was very helpful. The place was cozy, clean, and great location. Would stay here again!

Beds for four, not five.
Very clean. I don't understand how an owner can write that 5 people can book to stay here when there are only 2 beds (queen). It doesn't really make sense as there was no other way for the 5th person to have a bed - no roll-away bed or anything to add that 5th person in one of the bedrooms. At least one bedroom should be big enough for 3 people to sleep in, but that is not the case here. Also there is NO mention that this is a basement apartment in the VRBO site. This was very disappointing for those of us need to be above ground.
Michael's property is ideally located for the Northeast Portland area. In our case it was less than a five minute drive to our daughter's house! Wonderful for the Christmas holiday. Very clean and neat and properly outfitted, including the kitchen. Nice eateries within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. This VRBO is not opulent, but it is compact, comfortable, efficient and extremely well maintained. The street parking was available but not necessarily directly in front of the unit. It is a good value tucked into nice area. Enjoy!
Quiet street, but could hear the people upstairs a lot. Didn’t realize the apt was connected to the garage of the person upstairs. Didn’t have pack and play even though it said it did in the listing. No kid friendly amenities.
We got to get the real Portland feels - food trucks, coffee shops, and shelter from the rain. Michael took my call when I was having issues checking in, and the entire stay was EASY!
Many things are accessible in Concordia. The house was comfortable, spacious, and clean, private. The owner/ property manager was responsive throughout the process.
Very clean, and thoughtfully laid out to help minimize allergens. Two bedrooms on opposite sides of the living room to provide some separation/privacy. Nice touches such as nightlights in common areas, plenty of dishes, new appliances. Private entrance makes it easy to come and go. Street parking was more crowded than expected, but we were able to find room on the street within 4 houses every night. Would come back if I'm in the area again.
Apartment was clean, well appointed and in an excellent location. Check in process was simple and the owner/manager was in touch to check that everything was to our liking. Would recommend to anyone visiting NE Portland.
This has been one of the best VRBOs we've stayed at in Portland. It has the best of both worlds - it's a new house in an older neighborhood with character. New Seasons market and tons of restaurants and cafes are walking distance. Check-in was easy and the street parking was not difficult. If you plan on using the foldout sofa bed, confirm where the bedding is (it took us a while to find it). There are umbrellas if you need them, too. 5 stars!
We had another fantastic stay in Portland. We have previously rented the apartment before. The unit was completely clean, quiet, and everything worked well. Location is perfect, easily walkable to many restaurants, bars, etc. As always, working with Michael was super easy. Would definitely rent again!
This little gem in Portland was perfect for my child (11) and I for exploring all that Portland has to offer. Super close to some great coffee and easy access to Portland was perfect.
